The platform was built to solve a frustration familiar to anyone who has ever managed a construction project: the time lost hunting down materials, ringing round suppliers, and managing multiple accounts and invoices. BuyMaterials replaces that process with a single, simple workflow. Customers build a list of what they need, set a delivery date, and submit it to the network. Local merchants then compete for the business by submitting their best prices through the platform. The customer reviews the offers and places their order in one click. What used to take hours of phone calls and site visits now takes minutes. The platform serves three main audiences. Trade and professional customers, including builders, contractors and specialist tradespeople, benefit most from the time savings and the ability to manage multiple projects and materials lists in one place. Self-builders get access to competitive merchant pricing that has historically been difficult to secure without an established trade relationship. DIY and home customers can search thousands of products across categories including building materials, timber and sheet materials, plumbing and heating, electrical, fixings, tools and more. A key differentiator is the Universal Trade Account. Rather than applying for credit with each merchant individually, trade customers register once and gain access to 30-day credit terms across every merchant in the network. Skewed delivery position
Hi,
On the day of delivery, I contacted buymaterials and asked what time the delivery would be that day as it was to my son's address and I would have to go round there to supervise where they would put the delivery.
No phone call was received and the first I knew of the delivery was my daughter-in-law telling me it had been delivered. The delivery looked very skewed on the driveway but we were unable to move the materials indoors until the weekend just passed.
The photos show the state of the last few sheets of plasterboard and how badly placed the delivery had been.
We can probably use the broken pieces but it will take a lot longer to work into our project. Compensation should be given!

Hi Russell. I believe our team have already been in contact. As we are a marketplace any issue with the delivery should be raised directly with the supplier in the first instance. Great customer experience
Geoff put a quote together for me for some materials, he price matched a lot of them with cheaper companies and recommended better quality products. The whole experience was great and we got most the delivery the week after. Would definitely recommend BuyMaterials, especially if you deal withGeoff, we would definitely use them again.

Absolutely fantastic company
Absolutely fantastic company. Customer communication is excellent and they always get the materials I need cheaper than I can find them myself. Completely takes the hassle out of ordering different building material from loads of different suppliers. Cannot recommend enough!

Part of order not arrived as yet
Half of an order delivered
No response to emails
With communication with Geoff @buymeterials we found that the supplier had let them down. Geoff soon sorted the problem but again the supplier was not the best at fulfilling the order and had made several trips to complete the order that could have been done in two trips.
In the end happy with the resolved issues and the products supplied
