Absolutely terrible experience with…

Absolutely terrible experience with busroute.

We requested a quote for a 50 seater COACH which we accepted and paid, only for them to confirm multiple mini vehicles which would do multiple trips?? For our wedding?? Baring in mind that the guests WOULD NEED TO BE THERE AT THE SAME TIME.

Not to mention the lack of communication, we called several times over the last few weeks regarding what was agreed compared to the service they were going to provide, with no response (until now - only to say they will refund!) and they ‘someone will be in touch by end of the day’ which they never did call us! Management or this service is terrible. DO NOT quote someone on a service that is unavailable or take their money if you cannot fulfil the service!

To clarify, when our 50-seater coach became unavailable, we immediately explored alternative arrangements and offered multiple vehicles to ensure your guests could still be accommodated in time for the event. However, we understand that this option did not meet your requirements, and you chose not to proceed with that solution.

In addition, we provided a list of trusted local suppliers who may have availability to support you, in order to avoid leaving you without transport at such short notice. Our intention was never to cause stress or inconvenience, but rather to assist in any way we could despite the unexpected circumstances.

We acknowledge that our communication in the lead-up to this situation could have been more consistent, and we are taking this feedback very seriously. Please be assured that your concerns have been shared with our management team for review, and we are actively working on improving our internal processes to ensure this does not happen again.

Once again, I am truly sorry for the disappointment and frustration this has caused. We wish you all the best for your special day and hope to have the opportunity to restore your trust in the future.

Five-Star Bus Service into London

Five-Star Bus Service into London – March Trip

I had a brilliant experience with this bus company during our trip into London in March. From start to finish, the service was top-notch. The driver deserves a special mention — the driving was absolutely fantastic. Navigating a massive coach through London’s tight, busy streets with such calm control made us feel completely safe and in good hands the entire journey.

The bus itself was clean, comfortable, and clearly well looked-after. It made the ride not just smooth, but genuinely enjoyable - a rare thing to say for city driving!

What really stood out, though, was the patience and professionalism of the driver. We were running slightly late getting to the pickup point, but he kindly waited for us without any fuss or frustration. That level of understanding and customer care really made a difference.

Overall, just a fantastic service. Would absolutely recommend and will definitely be traveling with them again.

A Solid Journey with Room for Improvement


Overall, my experience with BusRoute was positive, earning them a 4-star rating. While there were a few bumps in the road, their commitment to customer satisfaction shone through.

The Highs: Smooth Sailing and Exceptional Service
From the get-go, the booking process was incredibly smooth. BusRoute impressed by not only price-matching but also beating a competitor's quote, which was a fantastic start. The coach itself was comfortable, making for a pleasant journey.
What truly stood out was the calibre of their staff. The drivers were consistently friendly and accommodating, demonstrating remarkable patience. The controllers were equally helpful and efficient, ensuring things ran as smoothly as possible. Even when we departed a little late, the drivers made up time, and we arrived back precisely on schedule. The follow-up from the company after the experience was a thoughtful touch, highlighting their dedication to customer satisfaction.
Their website is a dream to use – easy to navigate and intuitively designed. Moreover, knowing that customer service representatives are readily available to discuss any issues provides great peace of mind. A testament to their commitment was how they went above and beyond to source another coach after ours broke down with only a week to go before our trip. This level of dedication is truly commendable.

The Lows: Unexpected Hurdles and Communication Gaps
The primary challenge arose when our 70-seater booking was cancelled just a week before our trip, leaving us with no room to rebook elsewhere. While BusRoute did source another coach, it came with an unforeseen additional cost of over £300. Although they offered a small discount, it felt like a minor consolation given the sudden increase.
The subsequent confirmation process was quite confusing. We were initially directed to one third-party coach company, which then switched to "City Coach Hire." This required multiple calls to various places to finally sort out the booking details, which added unnecessary stress.
On the day of the trip, the coach arrived a little late, and the driver didn't contact me directly, which was a minor hiccup. Thankfully, the rest of the journey was smooth. We had a driver swap at a service station, and while the first driver was adequate (a 3/5), the replacement driver was outstanding (a solid 5/5), incredibly friendly and professional.

Despite these challenges, I would consider using BusRoute again, but with a clear caveat: communication needs to be top-notch. Being "thrown in the deep end" like this time was far from ideal. If BusRoute can ensure seamless and proactive communication, especially during unexpected changes, they have the potential to be an exceptional service provider.

Excellent service with no problems at all.

I booked a minibus to take 13 members of my family to the theatre. Everything was arranged very precisely by Greg and the trip was perfect. He slightly undercut another quote that I I had received. Timing was perfect and our driver contacted us in advance. Excellent service throughout.

Good driver, good tour.

Our driver, Alex, was very good.

I'll give you a few reasons why.

First of all, he was a gentleman in all his dealings with us. He was very polite and kind.

He also knew our schedule in advance and made various arrangements for us.

And he drove very carefully.

Before we got on Alex's bus, we were a little dissatisfied with the charter on Islay, where we were staying, but Alex's handling resolved that dissatisfaction and all the passengers were satisfied.

I would also like to visit the Isle of Arran, where he usually lives.

I would also like to thank Greg Howard and Dephanie for coordinating this charter.

Good Travel Experience

The bus was very comfortable, and the driver was very confident and competent.
The driver was also very clear with his instructions for loading the luggage, and when we arrived at our destination, he was also helpful with the luggage.
The bus's temperature was good, and the entire journey was hassle-free.

Absolute joke of a company

Absolute joke of a company. We booked a bus for 30 of us to go to the cup final and the day before they cancel leaving 30 fans with no way of getting there. Avoid these cowboys at all costs

The vehicle that had been assigned for your trip unfortunately suffered a major mechanical breakdown just a day before departure. Despite our immediate efforts to arrange a suitable replacement, every alternative option was fully booked due to the high demand on that day making it impossible for us to secure a solution in time.

We fully understand how important the Cup Final was for you and your fellow fans, and we feel deeply ashamed and regretful that this situation led to you missing such a significant and memorable event. It's a moment that can’t be replaced, and we can only imagine the frustration and disappointment it caused.

As soon as we became aware that we could not fulfill the trip, we took swift action to initiate a full refund because we wanted to ensure that you were not left financially impacted, despite the short notice.

Amazing

We were very impressed with the outstanding service we enjoyed from your company on Sunday. The driver was highly skilled and got us to our destination at the agreed time without any problems, and responded effectively to some of our requests.It is worth pointing out in particular that Mark Williams gave us exceptionally patient and detailed assistance in finding the right quote and service, and confirming the many details of the service one by one. After consulting with our community members and based on the high quality of your service and the appropriate quote, our online hiking community will prioritise requesting transport services from your company in the future. Let down night before travel. Avoid last minute bookings with them.

We made a last minute booking for a journey to the ferry port, Bus Route provided a competitive quote. When I told them we were booking with someone else they insisted they would beat the price and provided another quote, so we booked them. The day before we travelled I was contacted first to say they could no longer provide one mini coach to fit everyone, it would be two. Then a further call to say they couldn't provide transport for the full 17 and one would have to find their own way! (This was after a discussion with one of the team suggesting 17 could fit into a 16 seater! The manager quickly phoned to say this wouldn't be happening). Anyway, we had to cancel and rearrange with another company the night before we travelled.
Thankfully a full refund was processed two days later. But beware of making last minute bookings with this company, they may compete to get the booking and not actually be able to fulfill it. Very stressful.

Great service

Great service. Even though our ferry was late our bus driver was very welcoming and helpful. On our return trip our bus driver arrived well before departure so there was no pressure on the group.

Good value for 34 seater bus having shopped around.

The booking process was so professional and fast. I would like to specifically thank Sam Miller, who was super helpful with all of the details. He called me many times to make sure everything was ok.
The drivers were on time and so friendly. The whole service was amazing. We will surely use this service again.
