Ordered a eucalyptus nicholii from here and the overall experience was positive. The website feels a bit dated and archaic as a younger user but the plant I received looks incredibly healthy and well cared for with younger shoots that have clearly been pruned. Lovely stuff!
Packaging was robust and meant the plant was well protected. Shipping was expensive but plant very reasonable. Thanks I shall be back.

Very poor communication - no response to three enquiry emails until you buy something so don't bother to request or query in email as all ignored. Nothing in spam but nice touch. The owner obviously things he is too important to have anyone respond. I have spent a lot of money with Burncoose. Postage is also very high even by todays cost

Plants received swiftly and in excellent condition, beautifully packed. Website easy to use, communication (ie confirmation of order) very good. Would recommend and will use again myself.

Burncoose has been my "go to" mail order nursery for decades, the plants are always very good quality, well grown and carefully packed. The occasional loyalty discount offers are very welcome too. An excellent nursery that can't be bettered.

I've had several plants from Burncoose since 2021. Everything arrives quickly in pristine condition. Their website is beautifully laid out, easy to find any plant (huge stock), and mercifully free of the wild hyperbole that seems to be de rigeur for most garden centres these days. In short, a modern nursery with an old fashioned approach for real gardeners rather than the latest fashionable plants and gaudy annuals.

I have been ordering plants from Burncoose for years now. Just received my newest order today and felt I should recommend them to anyone who's a passionate gardener. They have an excellent selection of plants and usually a number of lesser known varieties; they always arrive in excellent health. Plus their website is the best when it comes to information about care and information for each plant. I always look for plants there first. Many thanks for the hard work to all your employees.

We ordered 3 'Zorro' hydrangeas, having purchased healthy blue plants a few years ago from Burncoose after a visit to Caerehays Castle who supply Burncoose. All three arrived a wishy washy pink when this type of hydrangea is famous for its deep blue colour. I feel I have been sold a pup and will not return to Burncoose for further purchases. Buyers should be warned that if they choose 'blue', they might get 'pink' plants! When I rang Burncoose, the chap was unsympathetic and saidthat we should just adjust the Ph of our soil and the plants would turn blue, then firmly put the phone down on me! Adjusting the Ph may or may not work. The fact remains it is unreasonable to sell a plant of a different colour to the one ordered. Watch out buyers!

Healthy & vigorous plants, lovely people, I've had good service over the years... The website may be a bit clunky looking, but it seems to work ok. At heart this is clearly a quality supplier you will learn to trust. Thanks guys 😁

Excellent quality plants, arrived in very good condition as packed well. Plants were larger than I expected for price.

First time ordering from Burncoose as I was on the hunt for a Passiflora 'Cooltropics Eia Popeia' and they were the only nursery I could find stocking the plant.

Called customer service for an update on the order as I wasn't sure if the plant had already been dispatched, I didn't catch the name of the person but she was very polite and gave me the tracking details.

The plant arrived in great condition and the packaging was definitely better than some other nurseries I've ordered from. I would happily order again as I can see they stock certain types of rare plants that I can't find in the nurseries more local to me.

The plant i ordered should have been a 3 litre pot but was only a 2 litre pot. It was posted promptly and securely packed and arrived in good condition although smaller than expected.

I ordered a METROSIDEROS carminea 'Ferris Wheel' in October 2025 and it was kept in an unheated greenhouse (in mild Cornwall) over the winter. It seemed fine for most of the winter, but by early May (with the plant now outside) it was looking unhealthy with the leaves all starting to turn a dull-green with shades of brown. They appeared dehydrated, but the compost was kept reasonably moist at all times. the plant is now completely dead. I think it was reasonably well cared for, so I'm at a loss as to why the plant should die in this way unless there was a problem with the roots.

Absolutely brilliant. We have always been wary of online nurserys fearing the plants would be poor or arrive damaged . Ours were superbly packed and arrived in only 3 days in fabulous condition and were really good quality plants . We will be back !

I have never bought plants online before that arrive so quickly and so well packaged that they are in perfect condition on arrival.

This was already our 3rd order this Spring and we will certainly be ordering again.

I ordered plants online and they were showing in stock. But after waiting 10days and having no delivery date I phoned the nursery. I was told that the plants could not be provided but they could provide an alternative. However I particularly wanted the variety I ordered, so had no choice but to ask for a full refund. I now have a refund but i had to chase them before I was told they couldn't supply plants. They had my order & money for over 2weeks and didn't inform me of the situation with the order, which they couldn't honour. So mow I'm back to square 1. I'm disappointed with their total lack of customer service.
