Very bad "premium" emergency roadside repair, aggressive upselling
My parents, 70+ years old, were upsold every imaginable insurance at the rental desk (even if they already insurance) and paid 400 euro extra at the counter for a 7-day rental. Next, they ran a flat tire, about 40km from the rental agency. Buchbinder advertises "premium roadside care" but first they were told: take a taxi to another rental company and rent a new car. When they protested (they had every imaginable insurance after all), they got told they need to wait 6 hours by the side of the road for someone to exchange the tire. However, when the road assistance comes, they cannot continue their way, they need to then take a taxi back to the rental company where they will get another car. So they are stuck until finally the emergency repair will come, then they have to pay for the taxi back. The emergency repair has meanwhile no idea when they will show up, no timing was given. They will only call when they will start their journey towards them, which could be 1-18 more hours (since they provide "24-hour" emergency
