Verification failed

Had a letter from HMRC to say I was owed money. Brooksdale sent me the verification link which had expired but no longer able to contact them. Emails bounce back , messages ignored and no one answers phone. Shocking . Please avoid

Don't hold your breath as they are not the quickest

Where do I start ? I received an email telling me that I can get a tax refund and they would do all the work for me. I thought ok I didn't get the money in the first place so anything they get for me would be a bonus regardless of their percentage, so I signed them up and sat back waiting. And waiting and waiting and waiting, in their Email it said it could take upto 12 weeks. their communications were good I received frequent emails saying their is nothing I need to do as it is in hand but could take up to 12 weeks. What I didn't realise is it a rolling 12 weeks how dumb was I to think this would be over in 12 weeks, which started back on 19th June 2023. I would be more happy to receive an Email saying this is taking longer than we would have liked but we are still working on your case and will update you with any further progress. I don't think I could recommend this company under the current circumstance as it seems like I am being fobbed off with excuse after excuse.

Think you should verify whether these…

Think you should verify whether these 5*rs are employees or not! There is no way anyone can be happy about a crooksdale taking nearly half what is fully yours other than from ppi returns! In any case crooksdale can only go back 4 years and given ppi stopped over a decade ago THIS and 5*rs ARE A MASSIVE RED FLAG! Message to Trust pilot check and verify them as you do want to verify me!

DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY.. letter received from hmrc 13th November stating payment sent. Continuously being told they have not received payment. They have now started ignoring my messages. Seems to me they have ran out of excuses but don’t want to cough up. Shut these scammers down

I didn't have a bank account and I spoke to them to see if I can get it put in my mums account they said it can just needed my id and my mums as soon as I sent it it was validated in the space of 5 hours and wow it was sorted and paid out the next day thanks very much the only problem I have is that they take too much commission but I suppose if you go through a third party it works like that I would want something for sorting a payment out they have every right to because what is the point in the company so please people stop moaning use did no that they took commission they explained it before you did your claim thanks very much brooksdale

I am still being contacted by this company even though I have told them I no longer have the paperwork required by Hmrc to claim. To be fair go straight to Hmrc and cut out the 50% that will be taken from your claim with these robbing thieves. It’s very simple to claim direct.

Kim has been a total joke since september now moving the goal post to complete my claim every time theres always a new problem i waited 3 months having been messed about to be now told you cant do my claim

Stay well clear scammers

The Reviews I have read on hear are all made up I'm sure, I've been battling with this company now no emails work and no website the whole company is a fraud and scam they have told HMRC I have received thousands in interest on PPI money and then a tax refund but the HMRC are told by brooksdale and they never ask your permission to tell them or if you want it they calculate it by plucking figures out of the sky wont give you a break down and will not tell you how it is calculated then take a fortune for doing an illegal act I'm still awaiting them to contact me but now have blocked all emails and removed website stay clear fraudsters

This company is a fraud & thief

This company is a fraud, scam why they are a license organisation is beyond me notice after 1 bad review the company paid employees write about 5 good ones to keep their ratings up, how they obtained my information to get hold of my £1500 tax return is beyond me makes me think some inside third party scamming going on this is on going since May this year and I’m not giving up fighting till the end to get all my money back thieving stinking Brooksdale!!!!!!

This company has used my data and won't tell me where from. Reported to Action fraud, HMRC and ICO. Submitted a claim on my behalf without authority or, an explanation as to how they got my data. Please people report this website to Google Safe Browsing and companies house. **Update** Everyone needs to put in a subject access request, request all data held on you. Ask for a copy of all calls and whether they are stored locally or on back up tapes for all dates of communication. Ask for a copy of the signed documentation. They collect things like IP address, what device was used etc. Make sure they are included. Ask for all call, emails and that includes information on you and information about you communicated to staff about you. They are keeping your money and your data. Once you have all information collected through the subject access request. make them delete all your data

Stay Away!

The company tried to complete forms HMRC reclaim forms R40 when SA100 Tax Returns are completed annually and any amendments need to be to the SA100. They did not consider my tax position and that, as a basic rate tax payer, no repayments are available. Their charges of 48% of any refund are extortionate for a few entries on a form you can easily complete yourself. Most of the other reviews on here state employees names and are obviously false.

Still waiting for MY money

I don't remember asking this company to help me get a tax rebate (although I must have....surely??). I logged on to my HMRC account to see that a I was due a refund. When I called HMRC they told me that the cheque had been sent to Brooksdale Ltd in October. I have had no communication from them regarding this rebate and I'm still waiting to get the money. Ive tried calling them on numerous occasions and I'm still no further forward as to what the hold up is. I would not recommend this company.

Customer care experience

Judica was very helpful and explained everything to me and waited on phone to make sure emails were getting sent back and forth OK . With her help we got there very quickly. I see my reviews on brooksdale posted…

I see my reviews on brooksdale posted nearly two weeks ago have been taken off the system?
They informed me that I would receive an email from them arranging a chat with a claims handler? I have not received any emails from them at all.
The fact is they claimed a tax rebate in my name in July 2023, I did not give them my signature to represent me?
I still have the letter from HMRC that a tax rebate in my name had been Sent to Brooksdale the amount was £197, I have not seen a penny of it.
I have tried to contact them in the past via text,phone calls but keep getting blocked by them.
No Brooksdale I am not going to go away, you obviously do not want to pay me what I am owed,
By law that tax rebate is mine not yours, I am in the process of seeking legal advice, the other negative reviews on here do not give you a good image?
InJuly of this year I tragically lost my Mother and one of my younger sisters which obviously set me back.
But now I intend to sort this issue with Brooksdale out once and for all.
