Working with British Builders has been genuinely great. Not only are they well organised and keep the project on track, but their payments are always on time and accurate. No chasing invoices or worrying about my cash flow as a soletraman. Plus, their communication is excellent and always respectful of their team. Top marks all around.

Worked as a contractor for this company.
The first job I did went pretty standard. Paid on time everything o.k.
The second job I did for them, we had some issues with the client raising issues that weren't to do with me, coupled with that they had some system issues and I wasn't paid in the time that I thought I would have been.
However.
Alex in the office was very professional and sorted me out and kept me in the loop through the entire process (thank you Alex). Eventually I was paid and they only went over our payment schedule by about a week or so.
So all in all not the worst company to work for in the end and again Alex thanks for sorting me out and keeping me assured that I would be paid this gave me piece of mind throughout the process.

Action was taken quickly (after 5…
Action was taken quickly (after 5 working days) according to UK standards (extremely slow compared to the country I am affiliated with). My boiler was leaking water to the wall and floor, they came and fixed it within 2 business days, the problem was solved, thank you.
However, the water flowing from the boiler damaged the structure of the wall, the wall started to peel and fall off, they did not take action on this issue / or I do not know if the real estate agent told me not to take action.

Hello, thank you for your feedback, we wanted to repair your boiler the same day however, we faced action issues so we apologise it took it little longer to gain access. Now the issue is solved you would need to contact your estate agency to report further issues. We already informed them about the remedial work,

Utterly Awful Experience
Utterly awful experience, the project manager and contractors are totally unconnected. The landlord in my case had provided consent to a quote for a roof fix, however, I had 4 more sets of roofers arrive to provide a quote resulting in no fix to the roof leak and a shining incompetence by the team. We'd respectfully like to address certain discrepancies in your recent review for clarity.
British Builders did not carry out any work for your property, it was site inspection for a roof quote for your landlord, only.
You mentioned having "4 more sets of roofers arrive to provide a quote resulting in no fix to the roof leak." It appears there might be a misunderstanding, as our instruction was to provide a quotation, not to execute the roof repair. The repair process is subject to your landlord's approval, which is still pending.
Repeated visits by our two roofers were necessitated due to the limited granted site access time after 6 pm, making it too dark for proper assessment and resulting in the need for an additional visit to provide an accurate quote for your landlord. We have consistently adapted to your availability constraints, working around your schedule.
We've promptly addressed your email complaint and provided the requested explanation, suggesting you contact your landlord, the decision-maker in this case.

Quality of work done was very good. And I’m happy with the final outcome.
However, there were few mixup in the materials ordered and delivery could have been planned much better.

The company were very professional and contacted me frequently to inform me when the work was gonna be completed and when the operative was due to arrive, the worker sent was very polite and friendly, he installed the cooker hob in a very timely manner I was really happy with the service

We were asked to install a CCTV system for British- Builders.com We were there for 1.5 days. We found it to be a pleasure to work as a contractors for Don and his team. Great business to do business with. Our invoices were paid promptly. Don is a person who shakes your hand and keeps his word. Jess is the dynamo that keeps every thing working. In all it was a pleasure to do business with British Builders. We would love to work with them again.
