I was considering giving it a go but they wanted credit card details a little prematurely ... Big red flag so I didn't continue. Now they spam me with emails (every few days) from which I there is no way to unsubscribe.

The typical free trial where you have to provide payment details. If your product is so good, give me the trial without strings... I clicked on the how to cancel link, maybe the answer was in there, but in a sea of other stuff. Stand by your product! I didn't bother trying it for the reason above.

Update - After declining, I did get a free trial, they could have offered this first.

It makes me as a copywriter and marketer get into flow and focus much faster. I can type many hours without realizing it. They also give you new sounds and songs every now and then (it shows as "new" next to the song). I really like the range of music and it is not very costly when you subscribe to the yearly option.

Definitely recommend. I realize they might be scummy/scammy during the free subscription, but that doesnt really scare me off. I love the concept and feel like they do their best for their customers :-)

- PRODUCT: The music works well, both for focus and sleeping. Once you listen to it, you sort of get it, it is more than just listening to lo-fi. It has the right speed and amount of complexity for your brain.
The app is a bit slow, but it doesn't really affect the listening.
- COMPANY: Like others have said, they charged me for a year without a reminder. They explicitly say during sign-up not to worry about entering your card details, because they will remind you before your trial ends. And they don't do it. I was actually going to subscribe, but that scares me away. They have refunded me right away after requesting it, but to me that just means they didn't manage to trick me.
If you search for them on reddit, you can also clearly see that they have bots shilling for them. ChatGPT accounts whose only purpose is to praise BrainFM.
These are scummy company decisions for what would otherwise be a good product.

No renewal reminders sent. Support refuse to refund even after a few minutes of unpredicted renewal. Really bad experience with customer service. Hopefully my $50 won't make them happy.

Be careful, and cancel auto renewal on the first day of your plan. Brain.fm are renewing plans without sending a mere reminder before (which is yet a broadly enforced market practice in the industry). And then, they refuse to cancel accidental renewals.
That’s the exact definition of a scam.

Been a customer for years. Love the product. And great to see a steady stream of feature releases.

It helps me with my study sessions

This is scam. I can't cancel my subscription. I click and click and nothing happens. I can't delete the account, cause my sub is active. And they're trying to charge again and again. Fortunately I've already reported them as scammers to my bank.

Very nice product and great customer service.
They responded to my request very fast, and gave me an update as well on what I requested!

Do not trust this company! I'vep ut my card and it says membership expired. I contact the support, tell them abotu it and they say I have activated the free trial. Well good for them, they know how to read their backend on charges. However on the front end my account says subscription expired. They are wasting my time and now they ask about my 4 digits number to cancel my membership. They do everything not to cancel your subscription.

I adore this. I have always struggled with focus and anxiety about getting things done. It really helped me achieve my PhD, and now it helps me write books for a living. I have absolutely no idea how it works, but it does. It's also helped get rid of headaches in the past too. Well worth the money.

Brain.fm helps me a lot to concentrate. I love the moment when the deep focus really kicks in and i never had that with regular chill-out sounds, coffee lounge or other slow music channels.

Can highly recommend it and will stay as a subscriber for sure.
