Always the worst service

I am writing to express my extreme disappointment with the online ordering service I have received from Boots this year.
On three separate occasions in 2026, I have placed orders totaling between €60 and €70, consisting of everyday essentials such as shower gel, deodorant, and baby care. Each time, I have received a follow-up email stating that several items—invariably the ones I needed most—had been removed from my order.
Most recently, on March 20th, I placed an order for four items, including Biomel powder, Excedrin, and a specific nasal spray that I can only source through Boots. I once again received an email stating the spray and powder were removed. Furthermore, as of today, I still have not received the remaining items from this order.
It is incredibly frustrating to have a "stock available" status on your website only to have the items cancelled after payment. I would appreciate an explanation as to why this keeps happening and an immediate update on the status of my March 20th order.

Online - Waste of time

Waste of time - order supposed to be delivered today, instead I get an email saying they cancelled the order.

So I wait one week, could have bought elsewhere, for this? Better to deal with a real pharmacy than to order with boots.

An hour to spare? Shop Boots Online!

Online multi-buys can be good deal if you are very, very careful to claim all offers and yet spend just over the forty quid without total bewilderment!

Beware, they use An Post - prepare for a long wait after Boots’ quick despatch.

Much is over-priced and most supplements are unproven. But Boots GoodGut capsules seem to work.

Wrong item sent – no response after multiple emails

I recently placed an online order (Order 814938953) and received an incorrect item.

While I understand mistakes can happen, the real issue has been the lack of customer support. I followed all instructions, replied with the requested details, and even sent multiple emails, but received no response.

The process feels overly reliant on automated replies, which makes it difficult to resolve a simple issue like receiving the wrong product.

This should have been a quick fix — either a replacement or refund — but instead it has required multiple follow-ups with no resolution.

Disappointing experience overall, especially for a well-known retailer.

Avoid!!

Order stuff for mothers day and came damage ( busted bottles) wasn't packed right in the box. I email them explaining and still haven't heard back from them. Very bad service I wouldn't order from them anymore. It's a disgrace money dont grown on trees

Defective item and poor customer service handling

I’ve been a regular Boots customer for years and place large online orders (around €200-300 monthly) for my skincare and makeup, so this experience was genuinely disappointing.
I recently received a MAC highlighter that arrived defective — the pressed powder pan was loose and not properly secured in the compact. I reported this immediately and provided clear photos.
What followed was a series of generic, copy-paste responses that did not address the issue at all. My situation (including the fact that I am currently away and unable to return the item immediately) was completely ignored, and the item was even incorrectly referred to as “unwanted” rather than faulty.
Despite explaining the issue multiple times, I was repeatedly told to follow the standard returns process, and eventually informed that no further support could be offered.
The most frustrating part is not the product itself, but the lack of actual customer service — no review of the case, no attempt to engage with what I was saying, and no flexibility whatsoever.
As a loyal customer, I would have expected a far more considered and customer-focused response. This experience has seriously affected my confidence in continuing to shop with Boots.

Click and collect service has gone…

Click and collect service has gone sharply downhill. It used to be that when you placed an order it might actually arrive ahead of schedule - now it is consistently days behind schedule and there is never any communication from Boots to update you on when it is expected.

Absolutely awful customer service and…

Absolutely awful customer service and complete customer service avoidance. Contacted multiple times and each time got a copy and paste response that was completely unrelated. Keep trying to steal you towards self help even thought you went through that to reach customer service. When you respond to their emails that are not helpful they just ignore you

The response to my above complaint has literally proved my point. I already went through your flow and was ignored multiple times.

Terrible service

Ordered an item for mothers day. Del date to store was sat 14th march. Tried phoning store numerous times on sunday to get update. No answer. Had 2 buy something else.

Website experience is just awful in…

Website experience is just awful in general, app is even worse. For some reason they crash all the time and it's impossible to use offers.
Once I finally decided to go on with the order one of the discounts (5e) just vanished even if wad listed! So annoying, now it's not for the 5e but it's the whole concept of such a big company not being able to reach expectations, why having promos advertised and added on the chart page but then when you go to pay they just vanish? Absurd.

Absolutely appalling Coustomer service no t 2nd but 3rd time waiting on Delivery from Dublin that goes on for 2 weeks.

BOOTS.IE also claim to recognise KLARA as a payment option which does not happen.I am waiting for Mutlitvitams that should have been delivered yesterday.Customer service told me wait another week and contact us for refund. Absolutely disgusting and appalling Customer service and I have friends who experienced same.

AWARNING : DO NOT SEND ITEM BACK VIA ANPOST .Still waiting for my refund , the whole situation been over 1 month now

I never had any bad issue with Boots.ie cs but this is my 1st time and I’m still waiting for email respond and my refund . It’s been 2 weeks since the goods delivered back to them via Anpost , this is my 1st time using Anpost to return goods to them and will be my last time . The whole situation been over 1 month since my 1st email to them regarding the goods issue. They responded to my emails since my third emails I guess? Which I directly sent them all the photos as proof , and they replied me but no reply from them after I sent the goods back to them .

Update :
As I said , I sent multiple emails asking about the update of my return and refund as it said parcel been delivered on the 25th of February but NO REPLY AT ALL from your cs. Maybe u can have a look , the cs number is 75234043

Never again

I paid for 2 boxes of L'Oreal hair colour 2 for 21 euro, i received one box . I dont know why im surprised as they have been a disaster in the past but i stupidly thought id give them another go. Lesson learned.

BEWARE - BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE

I contacted Boots through their website as advised and I haven't received a response. Can Boots please advise why my issue/complaint is being ignored. I just want my order that I paid for delivered to me.

Beware - I made an online order. When I received the order it was not mine. I contacted the helpline and I keep getting bot responses that want me to arrange for the order to be sent back or bring it back to store. What is the point in ordering online when they want me to go to the store in anyway and can't guarantee items in stock locally. They are in stock online though. Why should I be inconvenienced when it's their mistake. It's a Breach of Consumer Rights Act 2022 . Still over a week and no resolution. They are refusing to send my original order and pick up the wrong order. Bad service. Never again.

Great staff member.

The customer service I received from Ava in the Westport store was exemplary. She remembered that I had been in store the previous week and enquired after the patient. She was courteous and pleasant. She’s an asset to the store.

I was charged for a product that was…

I was charged for a product that was not delivered on my online order. After many attempts to get a refund from Boots custonmer service. I am now claiming a chargeback through my card company. Terrible approach to customers. If I was a supplier to Boots I would question Boot's reputation.
