I spent over £100 having a pair of meindl walking boots resoled in 2023. They were then stored in well ventilated conditions, without exposure to high or low temperatures, until this year, when I hiked three days of the southwest coast path. Both soles are now falling off, one near completely. This is not "hydrolysis" of the sole, it's glue failure. I alerted the company, but they said this is normal "wear and tear" and would charge to rebond. Their FAQ states that they guarantee all their crafted repairs, but it is only in the small print T&Cs that this guarantee only lasts 6 months.

To be honest, even if they now offered to do it for free, I have no trust in their service, and will glue them myself, or see what Timpson's can do. I'd hoped that by resoling, I'd give the boots a second life, but it turns out the service is a con.

My 10 year old DM Dealer boots look almost new (pity they can't do the elastic webbing). Great job of resoling and cleaning up my tired and sorry looking boots. they were back within 2 weeks, all the comms and tracking worked perfectly.
Now, looking to send my lovely old Birkenstocks that I tought were at the end of their life ...but maybe not.

They did a fantastic job resoling and reconditioning my Zamberlan walking shoes. I'm very happy with the turnaround time and quality of their work. It's like I have a new pair of shoes! And the Vibram sole they used is very nice, grippy and sturdy. I will 100% be using their service again, I'm super impressed!

For the very reasonable sum of £140 and a third of the cost of new Daytona motorcycle boots, I had my boots refurbished by The Boot Repair Company. The ease of dealing with this company was very easy thanks to the excellent communication. The quality of repair is outstanding and exceeded my expectations. I was not expecting my 20 year old boots to be refurbished to such a high standard, not because of any doubt in the craftsmanship, but because they were 20 years old and looked shot. My boots came back to me in less than two weeks with new Vibram soles and replacement gear change pads. Think “The Repair Shop” for footwear. After using my boots this summer and after 1500 miles they look marvellous still and the repairs are holding up nicely without any concerns. You won’t be disappointed!

Had my 20 year old Brasher boots repaired with new soles and also another pair of shoes have a smaller repair. Both pairs look really good and all service and communications was speedy and considered. Very glad to give my shoes a new lease of life.

When I complained about a very poor repair to my sandals the support team pulled out the stops and accepted the poorly repaired sandals back and they are now back with me in the expected state - sole firmly attached and the correct thickness. Full marks to the support team and, on this experience, I shall certainly use this company again.

I'm very impressed! Brilliant job, and well done with the new soles on my boots. They look fantastic - very professional, and should 'see me out' without any trouble! The job was accomplished in under 2 weeks which is far quicker than I was expecting, and at a very reasonable price. I couldn't ask for more, and would highly recommend your services.

I've had a terrific experience with The Boot Repair Company, let down only by their choice of UPS as courier. But I'm giving The BRC 5* because UPS' poor performance wasn't their fault and they were brilliant at trying to resolve it. Here's what I experienced...

- Clear instructions for ordering and then sending my Birkenstocks off for repair.
- Courteous email comms keeping me informed on them receiving my shoes, then the progress of my order.
- And a special mention to Rachelle Temple at The Boot Repair Company who, when UPS messed up the return delivery (delivered to the wrong address and then were useless at helping me retrieve my parcel), she bent over backwards to help me, emailing UPS, keeping me informed all the way, and even reassuring me that my Birks were fully insured by them and I'd get a new pair if we couldn't retrieve the parcel. She is hands down the most helpful problem-solver that I've had on the other end of the phone in a very long time - a shining example of 5* customer service!
- Thankfully a kind neighbour who lived at 'the wrong address' brought my parcel round (thanks for nothing UPS!). I couldn't have been more delighted when I opened the box to find my Birkenstocks brilliantly repaired, as good as new (in fact, better than new, as the uppers are nice and worn in soft and supple).

Thank you to everyone at The BRC for an excellent service. I won't hesitate to use you again and recommend you to everyone I know. My only request is for you to please just switch courier from UPS to one that matches your otherwise terrific service!

My only other suggestion would be for BRC to add a few photos & videos to their website, demonstrating 'before and after' and how they restore your shoes to good as new.

My request must have been unusual - wakeboard boot repair - but they have done a great job and saved me paying £500 for new boots. Absolutely recommend this company without hesitation.

Sent in two pairs of Birks for repair and they’ve come back with a new lease of life! There are some marks which show evidence of repair but only if you are looking at them up close. Otherwise, perfect !

I needed my DM boots resoling and restitching during a brief visit to the UK; they had to be finished and delivered before I left again.

The Boot Repair Company were really helpful in their response to my request for them to do the job unusually quickly. I got the boots back two days earlier than the deadline, and the quality of the repairs was excellent.

Just got my Redwing shoes back, this is the 2nd resole (had the shoes over 15 years).

My Birkenstock's were in such a bad state they were destined for the bin. However, after a chance web search and the discovery of The Boot Repair Company, I reconsidered and sent them for repair. This turned out to be a wise move as I received, upon their return, what looked like a 'new' pair of Bostons and for a very reasonable price.

Great would recommend! I asked for delivery to be after my holiday but they fixed my boots quickly and I got them before my holiday Very Very quick and helpful. Will 100% use again. Also the clean was greatly appreciated and my boots look amazing. I removed my laces in case they got lost and was given a new ones. Highly recommend. I got resole and tag replacement, perfect great craftsmanship.

I sent my Birkenstocks in for a resole and to replace the footbed, the service was so quick and easy. Any questions were quickly answered and they keep in touch about the process. When my Birkenstocks arrived back they look amazing and are so comfy… almost like new! Would definitely recommend.

This company was directly affiliated with Dr. Marten’s as advertised in their website so you would think that they will only use the same and original Dr. Marten’s materials given that in their tagline and in their packaging, they’re “claiming” that they are using “same materials” for repairs. Not true! I had my sandals sent to them for repairs for the buckle thinking that they will replace it with the same Dr. Marten’s ones. However, when I received it back, I was highly disappointed that they just replaced it with cheap and generic plastic buckle which broke just a couple of days later. I went to Timpson’s instead to have it repaired for a quarter of the price. Timpson’s did a much better job with a better quality buckle. Stay away from this company. Horrific customer service as well.

Many thanks for the incredibly quick turnaround of my Brasher boots sole repair. They look fantastic and I'm looking forward to walking in 4 wheel drive again after too long on 'slicks'!

The soles on my Dr Martens were getting worn, but the uppers were fine, so searched the internet to see if they could be resoled. I found The Boot Reair Company, so made enquiries. I was quoted a price and an approximate turn around time. I did have problems with the Royal Mail website, but a member of staff at this company sorted that for me. My shoes came back to me well inside the expected time, and they are fantastic. Look like new. Would definintely recommend The Boot Repair Company.

Rachelle was very helpful and knowledgeable, and my boots came back looking perfect (my Lowas were very similar to the pair currently on Instagram, and came back looking just as good!)
