IPL doesn't work
I posted this review to the Bondi body website 3 weeks and they removed it. They did also not contact me to address the concerns raised in my review.
I purchased the Mini IPL machine in February 2026. I'm writing this now in May 2026.
I have been using this IPL device every week for 12 weeks.
I have followed their instructions - ensuring the area is primed correctly etc. I always do it on the same day of the week.
I have not noticed a reduction at all.
I have dark underarm and pubic hair and fair skin, I shave the areas every other week (when I shower) to insure the hairs are the correct length to work effectively. I dry the areas and use the IPL machine.
I moisturise the areas afterwards.
I am regularly shaving the same amount of hair growth every two weeks.
I do not recommend this device.
I have emailed Bondi body customer support. As yet no response.
Very expensive mistake - did not work at all.
In January 2025 I ordered the v2 Laser, hoping that it would be a great alternative to constant shaving but after a year of using it as directed I have seen so difference at all. I have dark hair on pale skin, so well within the suggested parameters of good results. I was prompted to review on a regular basis over the first few months, but held off to make sure I had given the product enough time to actually work, although it turns out I could have made my review after the first email as there was no change between 6 weeks and 12 months.
After not noticing any change at a about 5 months of use I contacted customer support and (after about three weeks) they suggested I try using it twice a week on the highest setting, which I did. Six months later and I still haven't seen any change in hair growth. I contacted customer support again, but received no reply. I have emailed 3 times now spread over more than a month, but have had no reply at all.
All in all, the product doesn't work for me and the customer support is basically non-existent.
Not worth the money.
Honestly, I have seen no results and I have tried to remain persistent. I have dark hair and pale skin on most of the areas I am using the devise so it should have the desired affect however that is not the case. Extremely disappointed and a big waste of money.
It works
It works! But you need to be patient and persistent. I have used it regularly and am now hair free all over. Even the super thick hairs under my arms have disappeared. Don’t expect overnight results… but they do come. Well worth the money.
No change to hair growth
Using the unit since March, for over 3 months and seen no change. On the highest setting it gets very hot and can sting sometimes.
Very disappointed.

Nah- big disappointment
Nah. Have been using the Bondi Body IPL for over a year according to the instructions and relatively high setting. I have dark hair and pale skin so it should be great. I don’t believe it’s made a difference, in fact it’s caused more hair growth in some areas. My first device starting malfunctioning earlier this year. To Bondi’s credit they sent me a replacement. However, replacement device sent without box, email confirmation, or receipt. The replacement is now also malfunctioning and cutting out and I have no record from Bondi to return it. I had one initially helpful email reply from Susan at Bondi, but my other emails weren’t answered. Checked my junk folders. Seems from other reviewers I’m not alone in this. A waste of money for me. I wish I’d just saved for laser hair removal in a salon.

Purchased this by mistake (I hadn’t done my research beforehand and realised after it wouldn’t be suitable for my hair colour). Very prompt and friendly response from Trish who refunded me straight away when I asked to cancel the order. Fabulous top notch service!

Please be careful to read the small print. The returns process is a nightmare. First of all having to photograph the box from all sides inside and out and every part of the contents before they agree you can send the machine back to them. My appliance wasn’t working consistently well, (not moving between speeds) so decided to return it. I’d only had it for a couple of weeks. They initially offered to send a packet which would include free postage and then they would replace it. But as soon as I said I actually wanted a refund (as I was not happy with the product) the reneged on their offer to send it back free of charge and I had to pay for p and p. £12. Not only that but they refused to let me drop it off, even though I live close to their returns address and the address was exactly the same as the free postage packet had been. The whole process felt extremely unfriendly, unhelpful and punitive. Awful. (Yes you explained the returns process after I said I wanted a refund, that doesn't make it any better. You may have tested it, but it wasn't working for me. And the returns address was exactly the same as the salon)

This genuinely works
This genuinely works! I am brunette, with naturally pale skin, so on paper I am the best candidate for IPL and laser treatments. You need to be patient and consistent with your use. You also need to make sure your hair is the right length and that you are not cold while you use it. If you are trying to do it while you have goosebumps, the hair follicle will contract so the light beam won't be able to as effectively penitrate the follicle and get the the root. After 6 months of use I was only shaving once a week if that, and 12 months later I only shave every few weeks and the hair is much more sparce than it was before. Before I used the device I would have hair regrowth by the end of the day after shaving.

perfect device, waiting for the results
The delivery and customer contact was impeccable. I only used it once so far and cant be more excited to see the results. it doesnt hurt at all on the legs, even with the highest intensity(8) but starts to tingle a little towards upper legs and genital area, so I decreased the intensity and doesnt hurt anymore. the cooling system on the device is SO effective meanwhile not making an extreme noise. I was just using it while watching a tv show. the flashes seem to be very strong so be sure you put on ypur protective glasses. I still had the shining aftereffects on my eyes so maybe they can improve the glasses. I checked the energy of the light before and it seems like one of the strongest ones while being this affordable so I have high hopes. in the automatic mode, it flashes every 3-4 seconds which I found quite long and can definitely be dropped to 2sec but you can always do it in manual mode. Overall, the usage is perfect, I'm just waiting for the results to see

After 18 months it seems it is now time to give up.
No customer service/faulty machine
My device screen stoped working after 5 minutes only after the third ever use. The machine feels overheated and you can’t see the numbers on the screen or if it’s on manual or auto. Have been emailed the company for over 4 months about it and have not received a response. There is no custom or service at this company it’s a joke

I feel robbed of £250
I feel robbed of £250. I am extremely upset & disappointed. I bought the Bondi Body Laser @ Home, I met all criteria requested, followed all steps precisely and used it on the highest setting - however saw no change. I emailed to express my upset and invoke the 50 day return policy on day 47 asking for steps on how to send back, I followed all steps but because I responded on day 51 they refused to help & had no empathy letting me return a product that simply does not work. I continued to try the next month considering I had it in hope I would see a change & it start to work but I have not - it’s been 80 days total now I have owned it, results on Bondi wesbite are said to be expected in 3-4 weeks it’s been 11 weeks now, with no change at all felt.
I would highly discourage anyone who is thinking of purchasing this product, you will be £250 out of pocket & disappointed.
great product for price
only had it a couple of weeks but seems to work well - easy to use light probably easy to travel with if required - probably would need a more expensive model if needing a lot of hair removal !
