Wish I had read these reviews before purchasing! They charge you an huge import duty and tax and if you send the item back unopened, they charge you more for restocking and return fees. They charged me 90 euros to just return an item, unopened and unused. NEVER EVER AGAIN
Do not say on purchase that item is non-returnable. They also add a restocking charge for returning an item!
Don’t buy from abroad
Awful experience - they do a cheapie delivery using the SA Post Office. They have no interest in assisting you when your purchase never arrives - they are slick marketers but once they have your money, they don’t want any more interaction with you. If your stuff does arrive, you must pay huge additional duties to the Post Office, so the item becomes much more expensive. All this could be avoided if they used a reputable delivery Co
poor RLT products - I purchased a small rechargeable device, which is hit and miss on when it wants to hold a charge. I was vastly overcharged for a simple stand for one of their RLT devices - A simple Google search and i would've known better, but I was suckered in by an 'influencer' that probably gets commission. If you leave any negative reviews on their website, they conveniently delete it, rather than reaching out and look to resolve any customer issue's. Don't get pulled in by their discounts/offers .. spend your money elsewhere.
If you live in Europe, you will not be able to receive your order without paying a customs duty which in my case was 27% of the order value (!!!)
The European boncharge website is somewhat of a 'false storefront' to appear that they have a presence in Europe; they don't. You won't find the information listed anywhere apart from the FAQ section - the truth is that your order will ship from Australia, and you'll be faced with a bill when the order arrives.
Should you choose not to accept your delivery, the standard terms are that you will have to pay for the return delivery (back to Australia, which can cost AU$60) AND you'll have to pay a 15% restocking fee.
Unless you want to be surprised with an unpredictable surcharge of 30% on your order, forget ordering from Boncharge in the EU (note that if you live in the UK however, there's no customs duties).
I feel swindled, and I have asked Boncharge to be more transparent with their European customers. I hope they choose to do so in the future. The products are very good - this review is not about the products themselves. Lastly, unlike the below reviewer, I was not at all 'ghosted' by Boncharge customer service - they responded immediately to all my queries and were polite and responsive.
Recently bought a full spectrum light from Bon Charge based on the recommendation of the Podcaster Dr Chatterjee. MASSIVE mistake. The product ships from Australia so took three weeks to arrive. It is utterly useless the light output (lumens) is abysmal. Worst of all though is trying to get a response from customer service when you want to return the product. They just do NOT respond.
I completed a Boncharge invitation to leave a product review last week and left one star, Guess what it hasn't been published, only the 5 star review remains. Most disingenuous Boncharge.
I'm extremely disappointed that a respected person like Dr Chatterjee would recommend such a business to his listeners.
