Blue Lion Band were the perfect accompaniment to our wedding celebration. They are very flexible in terms on size, and were able to provide an 8 piece band without any issues. The music choices were fantastic and we really enjoyed every song. Our guests loved them.

If you’re serious about the live music offering in your event, these are the guys you need. They are nothing but 100% professional throughout the entire process, from their very first interaction with you all the way through to the end of your event. We were hooked from the first song we heard them play at one of their rehearsal sessions. Being a musician myself I’m very fussy when it comes to music at events (bad sound / too noisy, dodgy covers, poor musicianship etc) but I knew we could have complete confidence in Blue Lion - they have an abundance of raw talent and musicianship, and crucially they back this up with professionalism, logistical management, excellent customer service and communications.
The dance floor at our wedding was packed for the entire evening -Blue Lion definitely know how to please a crowd. Without Blue Lion our wedding day would not have been as memorable and enjoyable as it was. I’m already trying to think of other excuses to hire them (not another wedding, obviously!)

The band was great. We couldn't wish for a a better night. I was on the dance floor all night.

Well what can I say about Blue Lion Band except they made our wedding! They got pretty much everyone on the dance floor, played some absolute classics, played and sang incredibly, livened the atmosphere and made everyone smile. I cannot recommend them enough for any event, they are worth every penny and I hope to be seeing them again in the future!

I cannot rate this band any higher. Their professionalism, musicianship and performance were outstanding.

Their manager was always in contact during the run up to our wedding, making sure that everything was going to plan.

As a musician myself, I couldn’t rate the band any higher.

Couldn't have asked for a better band, they were absolutely worth every penny and were totally incredible. I asked for mainly Motown and 60's and they played a brilliant mix. One month on from my wedding and everyone who was there are still talking about them! Would 110% recommend as everything was brilliant from enquiry to on the day to after my wedding.

The Blue Lion Band were absolutley fantastic, creating a tailored playlist around our musical likes spanning a range of genres and artists easily and seamlessly. The quality of music making was extremely high with every single musician on stage adding their own magic to the performance. (Several moments of sheer awe at these players!) The energy was infectious and there was not one moment when the band was playing that I was not on the dance floor. They were adaptive with their timings (as speeches ran over) and provided and evening of music we will never forget, it truly was the icing on the cake of a perfect day.
(As a musician myself it was very important to have great quality and musicality, and I could not be happier. )

The best party band we've had!
My husbands 50th birthday bash was a great success and everybody young and old enjoyed the music.

The band were literally unbelievable. We had so many positive comments & the dance floor was full throughout the whole night. Even a year later people are still asking who are band were.

We first spotted The Blue Lion Band at the National Wedding Fair in London, we were struggling to find a good band for our wedding. We listened with headphones to some of their covers on their stall and we were hooked.

We then went to one of their London showcases, which I would definitely recommend. And we knew then that we definitely wanted them.

We got married in Cambridgeshire so we had members from the Cambridge group play at our wedding. You could select the size of band you wanted which is great for tailoring it for your requirements.

The online planning sheet was excellent, providing the band with all information they need about the wedding day and it allowed you to talk through logistics with them. This was especially important as they were playing in a marquee in a field.

Everything was brilliant and the band were everything we wanted! :-) It has to be one of the best parts of our wedding day seeing our dance floor packed the whole night.

We hired the Blue Lion Band to play at our wedding and it was one of the best decisions we made. We went to see them live first--which I would definitely recommend to anyone considering them--and can only say were were blown away by their professionalism, sense of fun, and cracking song selection. They play so many different kinds of music so well, and are so adaptable to how many musicians you want/what kind of music you are looking for. They made the planning really easy, and our day was much better than it would have been without them; again, hiring them was definitely one of the easier and smarter decisions we made for the wedding. We have gotten so many compliments on the band from guests, both on the day and in the weeks since the wedding--and I think they are a great value, too. Definitely worth every penny of the extra cost over hiring a DJ; there is no comparison.

If you are looking for a great band for your event, definitely give these guys a try. They are brilliant.

We cannot thank you all enough for the unbelievable afternoon set and night of music you guys supplied for us all. I have worked at about 50 weddings in a past career and been to about 10 others and genuinely have never heard a band that good and never seen a dance floor that full for the entirety of the band's sets. It was even fairly full for the breaks too so good choices on the laptop!

All of the musicians were so friendly, happy and seemed like they were enjoying themselves which I really hope they were.

Dessie and his team really did us proud and I cannot recommend them highly enough. So many of our guests have commented since on how superb the band were.

Thanks guys. We will be coming to watch your showcases in the future just to enjoy your music - it's that good. If we ever need a band again you will be first port of call hands down!

Simply amazing.
From the moment I made the initial enquiry with Neil, to the performance of the 7 piece band at our wedding, everything was simple, smoothly organised and the most stress free part of the wedding.
The band were amazing on the night and the dancefloor was full!
We have had so many amazing comments from guests about how good they were.
All I can say is don't hesitate, just book. You wont be disappointed. They made our day memorable

The blue lion band were great. You could choose how many members you want and to suit a certain sound. Communication with the band beforehand was very easy, all questions were answered and the band arranged set-up with the venue without too much help from us (which is great when you have so much stuff to think about!). On the night, Tommy was great, anticipating when things needed to be done but going with what we wanted. The dance floor was packed the whole night, I think everyone had a great time!

Our whole experience with the band has been great from the 'sampler' gig at the Brunswick Arms , Brighton right up to the wedding day.

Making arrangements was easy. Music choices were not difficult and the online organisation and customer pages were great.

On the day they set up and got things underway without any drama and had a really good set.

Their music choices where spot on for our various aged guests and the floor was buzzing all the time they played.

In the breaks the band mixed with the guests and were a real part of our special day.

Top musicians, top people great performance. Every guest loved them!

These guys were so professional and we had such a brilliant night. The brass section were amazing. Everything went so smoothly- from run-up to on the day itself. They even played our requested first dance song live- perfect! Would not hesitate to recommend them.

The band were amazing! From the early planning stages to the performance on the night, everything was perfect. Definitely one of the highlights of our wedding

Right from the booking and planning stage to the execution, we couldn’t have asked for a more professional, friendly and organised band. Chris was amazing and always available to answer any questions. The band were absolutely fabulous and right from the first dance - where Noella absolutely smashed it with ‘natural woman’ - to the last beat, the dance floor was full. Every single guest commented on how fantastic the band was and we honestly believe they made the evening truly memorable! Wish we could do it all over again!! Thanks guys.

We saw Blue Lion band perform a showcase gig in Liverpool, having already seen them at another friends wedding and were eager to secure them for our wedding.

They are a great group of musicians who made our wedding absolutely perfect and were able to accommodate our song preferences/first dance amazingly well. The band were high tempo and judged all the sets just right, giving everyone an opportunity to hit the dance floor that was pretty much filled up all night!

It’s Fantastic to be able to adjust the band setup to meet your needs, and you have Peace of mind that you will have excellent musicians guaranteed to play your wedding even if someone falls ill etc. The night before, so removes any worries in build up. We asked if the brass section could play a trad Jazz set during the drinks reception with about two weeks notice, and they absolutely nailed it so you really are getting super talented performers who can do it all!

Finally in terms of communication with the band in build up - they have an Easy to use online band page for your event that allows you to communicate and store details of the day with the band, and Damien is really friendly and helpful throughout. I couldn’t recommend these guys more!
