I've had the app for over a year and it used to be a great way of earning biscuits to convert to high street vouchers. I used to get 25 biscuits per day whilst walking my dogs but now they have changed it so you now have to pay £3.99 per dog per month for the same benefits or they have a free subscription but you can only earn 5 biscuits per day and you get bombarded with adverts! In my option it's now no longer worth the hassle so I shall be deleting the app once I've cashed out my last voucher.
245 walks to earn a ten pound Amazon voucher, ridiculous. Reinstate the 25 biscuits per walk for free or risk loosing all your customers. The app was good when free but I’m not paying to walk my dog for such a measly reward.
RIP BISCUT APP- NO LONGER WORTH THE PHONE BATTERY POWER!
What a shame!
Used to be a great little app, earning "biscuits" (tokens) for dog walks (essentially allowing the company to GPS track your walks and gather data-which I don't mind)
Used to get 25 "Biscuits" per walk, per day and a 50 Biscuit bonus at the end of the week. Get enough Biscuits and these were traded in for "Vouchers" for various retailers. Vouchers used to be around 800 Biscuits, but sadly increased 50% to around 1600, until i imagine the company received angry feedback from their customers and lowered them to around 1200. The company has now sold themselves out, making the free subscription not worth the bother. Customer on a not paid membership earn just 5 Biscuits a day, meaning it would take 240 days just to get a £10 retailer voucher! To gain what we used to get for free, you now have to pay a monthly subscription! Once I have used up my points I will be deleting my app as its not worth be using my phone battery power on!
Yes I totally agree with all the current complaints. I absolutely loved this app to record walks with my dog and save biscuit points, but the recent changes have made this pointless with no incentives—5 biscuits a day !! Ridiculous! It was bad enough when they removed the bonus 25 points after 3 consecutive walks, but this change has spoiled any value in this for me ... its such a shame the company has gotten greedy, and the advertising is so wearisome!
The developers have got too greedy. I understand that everybody wants to make money these days but at what cost? Is it seriously worth losing an awful lot of loyal customers
if it had been cheaper each month I’m sure a lot of people would have grumbled but paid it
If somebody has two dogs that is £8 a month, you are better off putting £8 in an envelope each month instead and spending it on whatever you want instead of the inflated voucher points.
Too many adverts on free one and the app still isnt working correctly , failing to record walks or distance some days
As so many have mentioned, the changes are beyond ridiculous. The ads after every activity and only 5 biscuits a day. It’d take 230 days to collect enough points for a voucher. Paid service doesn’t give enough incentive to consider paying for either as after a year your overall discount would amount to £20 a year. It’s not worth the effort. I get changes might be needed to make the app financially viable, but that’s where the ads come in. Paid subscription could have offered more to incentivise customers to upgrade, but reducing the free points to the point that one can claim one £10 voucher a year offers no value at all. I have some points accumulated so might use the app until I’ve got enough to get a voucher back but won’t be bothering after that.
Sold themselves out. Been using for years, but now only 5 points for a walk. will take me 230 walks for a coffee voucher! Got above themselves with a glitchy app too unreliable. Can't turn off ad preferences in settings, it auto turns them back on, which must be illegal! Will be deleting and making sure my data is deleted too. Feel this app cannot be trusted anymore, a money grabbing dodgy feel to it. Bad move will be the end of it. Shame
Been using the app for about 4 months. It kept the dog walks interesting and a small incentive of gift vouchers made it worthwhile.
Along comes Biscuit plus with 5 times the the biscuits for £3.99 per month. What it means in reality is 5 times less biscuits if you don’t pay!
Now, really not worth the effort, I’m out!
Have used this app for years but certainly won’t be paying £3.99 a month to continue. It just doesn’t add up financially. Whilst I’ve enjoyed getting the vouchers it started taking so long to earn them as they kept hiking up the amount of biscuits required. I’d rather pay Tesco/Amazon etc full price in the first place. Whilst I fully understand they need to make it work financially alienating the people who have been loyal to you for years is a guaranteed fast track to failure.
App updated on 12th May 2025 to a freemium model, to earn the same points you used to get before that date you now have to pay a premium each month.
For example, M&S voucher would cost 1165 biscuit points. When you were getting 75 a week plus bonuses it wasn't that bad. Now you can get 15 a week as you're capped to a 3 day streak. 5 times as long.
Pet insurance discount / free membership only applies if you have your insurance via their partner Waggel.
Basically just a data miner harvesting data on your beloved pets and your walking habits now.
I used to love this app, but the latest update has been a major letdown. The reduction of biscuits from 25 to just 5 is the last straw for me. As a loyal user of several years, I’ve already watched the biscuit count drop from 50 to 25, seen the removal of the 3-day bonus, and endured the addition of ads. Now, we’re expected to pay £3.99 a month just to keep the 25 biscuits we once had for free.
During a cost-of-living crisis, this feels like a tone-deaf move driven by greed. A better approach would have been to reward loyal users by keeping their biscuit count intact while incentivising subscriptions with additional benefits. Sadly, I’m deleting the app and requesting my data be removed.
Was really good, have used for two years. First the number of points from around 800 to 1200 went up you need for decent rewards. Now they have got greedy and are charging £3.99 a month for the same service you have had free for years. Now you only get 5 biscuits a day on the free plan, as oppose to the regular 25 a day. It would take months (242 days) now to get to 1210 biscuits just for £10 asda voucher. So app has been deleted
They changed the point system, and now you only get 5 points for one walk — unless you pay for the Plus version to get the old system back. That’s just awful.. Very disappointing
Used to be a brilliant app. Encouraged you to get out regularly with your dog. No way I’ll be paying £7.99 per month to walk my dogs, especially when they keep upping how many points you need to spend for vouchers! I also wouldn’t want or need to free tracker.
Such a shame! I have been a loyal app user for a very long time, not anymore. It started going down the hill in the last 6months but current changes (subscription) killed it completely. I have seen number of biscuits shrinking and the amount needed to get a voucher increasing and now this!!! 5 biscuits for a walk??? Are you having a laugh???!!!! It is more like an insult.
I have been using the app for quite a while now and actually became more committed to using it when they introduced quests.
Since the introduction of their new paid subscription service however I will be deleting my app.
They promote 5x rewards for paying a £3.99 monthly fee but look closer and they've reduced the rewards of the basic plan by 5 times. I could earn 25 'biscuits' a day when I walked my dog. Now the maximum is 5.
It's just corporate greed. And don't get me started on the introduction of adverts!
This used to be a great app but unfortunately the decision to change the points system has ruined it, I can't see this app lasting much longer.
Well I used to use this daily for walking my two dogs, gave them my pet details and completing all the quests. I’ve had a few vouchers for Amazon which were nice but too so long to get. Now that I’m behind a pay wall effectively and having to use JUST WAGGLE insurance to get the premium version the app has been deleted and won’t be coming back any time soon.
Way to go biscuit, chase the money as that’s all your doing, can I now ask that all of my data is purged from your database.
WAS. A great app, recommended it to other dog walkers however their latest update has removed all enthusiasm to actually use the app. Rewards have dwindled down over the months. No weekly bonus etc. 25 biscuits to 5. Unless you pay (in my case) £7.99 a month to earn a maximum 1800 biscuits a month. Example. Amazon £10 voucher has ranged from 1200 to 1450 biscuits. So basically your using the app for £2.99 Reward. Nah ill cash out and go elsewhere. The device you recieve for joining. What's the point? Doesn't do anymore than your phone. Wouldn't be suprised if there is a sharp fall in usage.
The buscuit pet care app was an innovation to help and support the welfare of our pets. It was well received by pet parents and grew exponentially. It must have been haemorrhaging money. They had to at some point monetise the project. This could have been done is so many ways that would've allowed it to grow. However the way they have gone about it by introducing a subscription model just lacks creativity and foresight. I hope I'm wrong but I feel this is the beginning of the end as it as alienated the vast number of users.
