As a 30+ year old who has never been able to ride a bike, I was apprehensive about learning at a late stage. Darren made me feel incredibly comfortable and had me riding within a couple of hours. An excellent coach and top guy! Would thoroughly recommend

That was a fantastic experience. I'm 60 years old and super frustrated for having lived life without riding a bike! Problem solved in a couple of hours! Darren has a brilliant technique, so not much of a chance that you end up splattered on the floor... I did the one-to-one session in Southwark Park during the week, and there were plenty of quiet enough areas for me to acquire my new found balancing skills. It happened just like magic. So proud of myself - thank you so much, Darren! I should have done it years ago... He has sessions throughout the year, so no need to wait for next summer...

Our son never learnt how to cycle in London and going to uni wanted to learn it quickly. Bike and helmet were provided. Darren was super patient and at the end of the course he was able to cycle around Regents Park unaided. Thank you so much and we can only highly recommend.

I was doubtful when I read the testimonials that I would leave the session being able to stay upright on a bike, let alone, ride it. How. Wrong. I. Was. Darren's approach to teaching is wonderful! He was extremely patient and easing any fear I had of falling off, keeping me very distracted from any negative thoughts (postive mental attitude all the way!). The 3hr session went through the basics building upon each of the different steps taught until finally, I was successfully riding a bike by myself! If you want to learn how to ride as an adult (or even a child), Darren is your trainer! Thank you so much Darren, I'm still so ecstatic 3 weeks later!

Darren was amazing. I don’t know how he did it but it was like a miracle what he did with me. I nearly lost hope of ever riding a bike at 58 years. I thank God for using Darren for me that I can actually pedal on my own for over 30 seconds. His technique is amazing as well as his patience, encouragement and motivation. Great 3 day course, would definitely recommend it! My son learnt to balance and ride confidently on the very 1st day which was amazing! He's very happy and excited to be a new cyclist! Darren is a very good instructor and I recommend booking him for the course. Book well in advance to get your preferred location, dates and time as the course is popular and gets booked up the moment the dates are advertised on the website.

Darren is an excellent patient teacher, I can now cycle! Multiple drills used and went at a pace that was comfortable for me, all whilst ensuring I was happy with the instructions and questions raised. Later gave me information about what we covered in the lesson and bike recommendations. Overall really enjoyable and recommend

I didn’t learn how to ride a bicycle as a kid, and though I have tried to learn on my own I never quite managed to get there. Darren was brilliant - patient, positive and hugely encouraging. And the best thing of all - I can finally cycle at the age of 36!

As an adult who has never had any lessons I was so apprehensive about getting started. I thought their was no way I would be riding after a 2 hour lesson,I was wrong. Darren was so friendly,down to earth and patient.I was able to balance and ride on my own which i didnt think possible.Now I'm riding independently. Dont think twice about starting with bike happy,go for it

What an amazing experience I had with Darren today. I decided to learn to ride a bike as an adult. However, I was very nervous. Darren put me at ease atraight away - he was very encouraging throughout. After the session, he was very helpful supporting me choose the right bike and accessories to use.

I cannot recommend Bike Happy & Darren enough, I never had the opportunity to learn as a child and a skill as an adult I wanted to achieve. From my first phone call Darren put me at ease.

Darren’s calm, patient, and encouraging approach meant that within 30 minutes or so I was able to get my balance and finished off the session by being able to cycle on a Santander - something I never thought I would be able to do. Being only 5 foot most bikes do not allow me to comfortably stop with my feet on the ground but the bike I learned on was not intimidating at all. I have been eager to put my new skill into practice and I’ve already got back on a bike within a week, enjoying the experience without feeling I needed Darren with me. I will be purchasing my own bike soon based on the recommendations Darren willingly provided.

Darren is a wonderful, encouraging and experienced teacher - I was cycling within the first hour or so after years of wanting to learn and being discouraged for various reasons. Having the time and space to learn without any stress or expectations, with a bike that felt approachable (as I’m relatively petite) was exactly what I needed, and learning this new skill has opened up a whole new hobby and range of possibilities for me. Darren was keen to instil good cycling habits from the get go and explained things in a digestible and relatable way - I would wholeheartedly recommend him! I had a lot of fun and I’m hoping to cycle along the beach in Greece on holiday this summer thanks to him :)
