Fantastic value for money and very well built. All the staff were very nice and welcoming. We ordered our van and was told it would be ready in 3 to 4 weeks and to our surprise it was ready for collection just 2 weeks after the order.

Great service , For a long time I was looking for a Van and I searched in many websites around Coventry and I couldn’t find any company with the Van that I wanted until my friend suggest me this company and I really enjoyed their website and the range of offers , so I decided to take a chance and see what they have for me , and I really appreciate all their equipment and for sure I bough one.

Wanted to wait a little while until I had a good amount of time to write this review for big wave campers in bude.

Myself and my partner decided online to go and visit these guys (1hr and a half away) to discuss vans, options, finance etc and I can honestly say we were so excited and happy when we came away. We were greeted with a friendly and laid back (but still professional) team which we loved, we instantly felt welcome and they had a lot of knowledge on all vans conversions etc.

We went into the office with George who talked us through spec colour and mileage of vans we could choose from he searched their stock sheets for us and found the right van in the colour we wanted with great miles so that was settled, we paid a completely refundable deposit of £500 to secure the van and get work to commence on it for us, we were shown through all the units floor appliances etc and shortly after by email received a list of all our criteria we could choose (some things we wanted were not on the list but these guys went above and beyond to get what we wanted in our van). Even sending me pictures of units and the trim combination I wanted so I could be a fussy woman designing her second home 😂.

The finance side couldn’t of been easier Cherie was brilliant and always at the end of the phone she worked within our budget to get us exactly what we wanted and her attitude and personality shone through even if only in emails and over the phone (you were a pleasure to deal with)

The fitting team were great at keeping us updated and again always there to answer questions and reassure you everything is on schedule and just what we wanted. The van actually ended up being ready earlier which my partner was chuffed about as it landed on his two weeks off work so he had plenty of time to play with the gadgets.

We personally loved the laid back “no worries” approach found it friendly and as already said we never felt unsure they were great at keeping us updated.

Once getting home in the van we noticed a chip in the very bottom of the screen (easily missed took us a while to spot it) we rung George and explained and they were organising the gel fix on the screen but unfortunately it turned into a crack before we could get down to them so they quickly sorted us an appointment for a entire new screen with a great company.

Long story short this company and it’s staff go above and beyond for you and nothing seems to be too much trouble for them.

Thankyou to everyone at big wave campers we can’t wait to get camping in it now. Seafront and beach trips have already been amazing and such fun.

We took delivery of our campervan last week and are very happy with the results and wanted to thank Big Wave Campers (Studley Branch) and Jodan in particular. We had a minor issue with the key breaking within a few days of receipt of the vehicle and we were impressed that they sent someone out, Karl, to fix it within 24 hours all completely free of charge. Their service has been great throughout the process keeping us updated and in touch about all our options. We can't wait to start exploring with it.

I start by saying that this has been a different experience for me. Have been searching on and on for ways to be able to go abroad and still feel safe and comfortable and this company provided exactly that.
At the beggining had no idea on the work they were able to do for me, but after a reasonable deposit they were able to find the van of my choice and fit every thing that I wanted plus with colours of my choice which is amazing, more personalised. Since that have been in Portugal, which is a big ride and drives amazingly well and my family absolutely loved, and though of purchasing in the future as well, when have physically the chance.

The service is good, and have always explanations for every doubt, after sales gave me 'weekly' updates on how was the construction going and when to pick up.

There was very little or any point of sale and aftersales customer service. We did not receive our campervan, after we were eventually told it would not pass safety checks for conversion. We went to Bude and the salesman did not write any of our requests down. However, we did so for him on a plain piece of paper. We asked for a receipt of the deposit and details of the van. After chasing via phone, we eventually got a basic receipt with no information about the van title. We then had no communication as to when our camper would be available to pick up, save to say they informed it would be 4 weeks from day of paid deposit. After several voicemail messages and emails, all of which went unanswered, after 4 weeks, we were disappointedly told they could not convert the van we wanted to buy. It further took several anxious days for the return of our deposit. We would not recommend, as our aftersales experience was appalling.

EDIT: We are also surprised at the speed of your reply on a Saturday evening, when we struggled to get replies during normal business hours. The options you gave were to spend another £5000 plus or a deposit refund. We suggested being notified for first refusal but then heard nothing? We note not a hint of an apology in your response, which in our opinion perhaps typifies your attitude towards customers.

We recently bought a van 7 days ago and Jodan was very helpful with everything slight issues were rectified almost instantly and he even came to my house to sort out an issue. Overall we’re really impressed with everything and we are looking forward to spending our time away in the van

We bought a campervan a few months ago and after experiencing Brilliant customer service we took our van home to find a minor problem. We got back in touch and the problem was rectified immediately. Nothing was too much trouble.

Picked up my camper at the weekend and could not be more excited to get on the road!!

After going into Studley and speaking to Jodan on what we wanted to dealing with Anne on confirming everything was correct and all with in the time scales provided has been nothing but a pleasurable experience

We went with mixed emotions after reading some reviews online but we decided to take the gamble and see what they had to offer, However we were totally blew away with all the options of vans and different interiors we could choose from on our very own custom designed van.

Half an hour had passed and we had a really great time with Jodan being very laid back and helpful and answering everyone question we had thrown at him and making us feel comfortable in our choices (I know hes a salesman and this is what he is supposed to do HA!)

Anyway the 4 weeks that was quoted for build and collection was upon us and we visited the site not knowing what our finished idea would look like but i must say as hard as it was to design a van from scratch they had done a fantastic job!

The handover and paperwork was an absolute breeze and we were in an out with a full tutorial on how the van works within an hour of arrival

Nothing but a great relationship built and i would highly recommend to anyone who wants to begin a new chapter on the road

I will start by saying this is a review of the sales and aftersales experience with this company, I never actually received a van after 12/13 weeks of fighting to get updates and being told lies, I cancelled my order a few weeks ago and I have received my refundable £500 deposit back so that’s at least something. Reading more reviews on various other sites including this one and speaking with another Conversion company that have seen (and had to fix) their work, I think I have had a very VERY lucky escape! I am not sure people know what they are getting from this company and may have little experience, very scary and extremely dangerous in my opinion when you are dealing with gas and mains electric!

So, I phoned the Bude branch…First mistake I made was giving him a £500 deposit over the phone BEFORE going to visit…(My fault) but thought I needed to ‘secure’ the exact spec base van as they are hard to find and they had one available..(Not sure they did tbh) and I couldn’t actually get down to visit for another week.

I cannot believe I didn’t see the warning signs when I went to see the salesperson (Edited as per reply) in Bude, he really didn’t seem to know an awful lot about the details I was trying to discuss with him, looking back I found his sales technique a bit rude and flippant… A load of sample colours of various items were put in front of us and I was handed a blank bit of notepad paper and a pen to fill out what I wanted…”I don’t use that email stuff” he uttered. “you need to speak to the factory” … err..ok.

A couple had also turned up to collect a van that day, they had issues with the wheels being the wrong ones and a green side decal that had been added that they didn’t ask for or want, there was no apology from the old guy, he just told his mechanic helper to peel the side decals off.

As mentioned previously, he did not want to discuss any of the details, but I just assumed as he was the salesperson, and the ‘factory’ was be able to talk through all my options… “We will give you a call in about 4 weeks when its ready” he said… We left feeling a bit confused on what just happened and waited for some sort of contact... a day or so later I got an email with a form to fill out with all the conversion options(didn’t I just do this on paper at Bude???), filled in in and sent it off; At this point I also realised I had no receipt for the deposit, I would have expected at least an email with some sort of confirmation, I asked for something and I got through an extremely badly put together invoice that listed the wrong van and with none of the details of the conversion and nothing mentioning that I had paid a deposit... That really got me worried! I wrote another email asking for confirmation of the van specs, wheels, and options I had selected and had no reply… emailed again and got a reply a day later basically saying ‘Yes’ but with no answers to my questions! I emailed frequently over the next 12 weeks asking for updates and further questions, each time I would either be ignored, get a short reply with none of my questions answered or just get lied to about stock issues or made-up completion dates.

Overall an EXTREMELY frustrating experience! Being treated like that and they want your money (over 40k), imagine how hard they are to contact to sort problems AFTER they have your money!, I’m not risking that..

I am writing this review based on my own experience with Big Wave Campers. From the first meeting with the sales team to picking up our camper van I found the process to be simple and stress free all queries were answered in a timely manner and after sales have been nothing but helpful. We are now enjoying our beautiful 2 tone sky blue van “Sam” and are looking forward to making some memories. Thank you Big Wave.
