We bought our converted T5 from Easy Living Motorhomes in Bude on the 23 December 2021,thought we were doing the right thing buying locally.First problem was only one key provided,dealer advised us to go to local VW dealer to get second key and Big Wave would reimburse us,14th Feb til now no money received £231 down!Next problem Adblue light came on,took back to Bude,warning light removed by computer back home Padstow it was back on!Van then returned to Coventry who had van for three weeks we previously mentioned clutch problems,van returned 5th May with the assurance from both companies that both problems had been sorted.We have now taken to VW specialist who have advised us that the clutch repairs are going to cost us over a £1000. In conclusion Big Wave Campers customer service and after sales is appalling.I advised them of my intent to review,they only want your money.

To say im over the moon with my camper is an understatement. The attention to detail is second to none. built to my exact spec and far exceeded my expectations.
The service has been outstanding i just need this weather to pick up so we can really start living the campervan dream

I got a second hand van with a brand new conversion from big wave campers at the begging of March 2021 and had problems non stop from the start returned the van for numerous thing’s etc. corroded gas struts, poor finish on carpet broken break lights the list goes on. I was told not to worry and all the problems would be resolved. To say I was let down was an understatement the paint work was even worse and numerous other jobs were half complete or not even touched at all I then spoke to them again regarding all the issues and the poor customer service and they were not prepared to complete the work and not even an apology.
They did however offer me a refund but I had already put too much money in to the van and I would have been at a bigger loss after this the list of problem just kept growing and at time’s the van was completely out of use.

so I left this review after 9months of owning the van and unfortunately still paying out for repairs and more issues arising daily if you are looking to buy a camper van my advice would be to stay very clear of big wave camper’s

bought my camper from bigwave what a great Finnish van is first class very helpful even after i had a problem with seat sticking they had it in straight away and fixed the problem great after sales service well done highly recommend

If you want a camper done right then this is the place to go! I am over the moon with my purchase. Contacting the team at Big wave was the best thing I did. They were excellent through the whole process from sourcing the van all the way through the build stage. Any queries were answered quickly and concisely and it was ready on time and delivered to my door which was amazing. There was no hassle whatsoever and I wish I contacted them sooner. I urge anyone looking for a camper to enquire you won’t regret it there is lots of specifications to chose from that cater for everyone’s taste and style.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! Picked up my new camper a couple of days ago and words can’t even describe how delighted I am by it. The design and interior is superb and was exactly what I envisaged when choosing those certain specifications. There was no issues to worry me through the build phase and our camper was ready within the time period they had given, which was fantastic. At first I was a bit sceptical with making this big purchase as you want it to be right but the Team at Big wave were amazing. They answered any of my queries quickly and kept me up to date with everything going on. The quality of the products they use and there attention to detail in all of their finished is what makes them the best! When it’s time for a newer model I will be back again! Anyone contemplating it then contact them they will be more than happy to help you.

Absolutely great experience with the team at Big Wave Campers. We've been looking to get a campervan for a couple of years now. However with prices reaching £60k+ for newer model conversions we were completely priced out. We came across Big Wave who had a great variety of older vans to newer ones. So we were finally able to find a campervan within our means. We opted for an older van, but with a full bespoke conversion. Communication from the beginning was excellent and when I dropped them a note asking any questions they responded same day. The van conversion was bespoke - so we were able to select finishes - the team were extremely accommodating and nothing was too much trouble for them. On collection day the van was fully valeted and was better than we could have imagined...finishes were exactly as requested, and it's clear that great workmanship has been done. The handover was detailed and thorough. Its safe to say we are very happy campers right now. Thank you to Nathan and the team at Big Wave for making our campervan dreams come true.

From Cornwall so was keen to go a Cornish based company for my van. Right from the offset all was clear, a well put together and easy to navigate www and with a prompt reply to my initial enquiry.
My circumstances were a little different as I was doing this from Taiwan on a ship but with modern day comms this was no issue. Cherie was so helpful and efficient with all my questions.
They showed great patience with me as I was stuck aboard ship so had to hold the van and wait for my part-ex vehicle all summer.
Anyway eventually got my van and very impressed with finishing and quality. A minor point that I missed on collection was soon put right when I flagged it by George in Bude.
I have no other experience of this type of company so if you want a van conversion, or get one that has already been done then go here is my advice....in Cherie we trust!

I had an issue with the central locking on my camper recently bought from your Bude campus. George and Chris went out of their way to ensure I left with a secure Camper, I think they went over and above with the service they delivered, very many thanks indeed !!

Got a great service from the company with buying a new build T6.. its the second Vdub I've had, the conversion quality is very good, after service was great as I had a couple of niggles which were sorted very quickly. Would recommend checking them out, I would buy again from them.

The team at Big Wave Campers were fantastic! It was a positive experience right from the start; from initial conversations with George to choose a stock van, to Cherie who very quickly got in touch to discuss finance options available, through to the sales and after sales team who supported me through the custom options. My camper arrived on the expected date and looks absolutely brilliant! On collection we where given a full overview of how everything worked and I drove away incredibly happy. I had some follow up questions (being new to campers!) and those were answered very quickly by the team too. All in all a very positive experience and I would definitely recommend Big Wave Campers to anyone looking for a phenomenal little campervan. Mine makes me smile everyday :-)

Sad to say these are the bottom of conversions and the build quality very low. Many screws missing the electrical consumer box only had one screw holding it in place. The bed panel came off first time bed slid out. Rear wardrobe panel only had one crew so came apart.
Worst of all was gas box had an air vent that had been fitted but no exit hole made so any escaping gas would just have built up. Also had gas leak and was told just tighten everything up. I would have thought gas was quite serious. Also leisure battery not secured.
I emailed and called but never get a reply so have taken to putting all the faults right myself.
The bed takes up all the room in the boot area and is so awful I can't imagine why anyone would fit this bed except it must be the cheapest.
For a brand new conversion you would hope for some after sales support and that it would have been converted to at least a basic quality and standard with some pride and not just quantity over quality.

Where do i start! Unbelievable bit of kit. Been looking for a decent camper van for a while now and got recommended to Big Wave Campers as i was planning a trip away with my Mrs and kids. I can easily say the best decision i made. Really pleased with the service and amazed with how good the Camper Van really was. Super quick and super reliable. I highly recommend to everybody. Came Across this company when I came across and old friend down the local pub, we got talking about touring England and possibly Europe when he told me he had recently brought a top quality camper Van from Big wave Campers, he allowed to view his Van and I was instantly stunned by how practical, smart and cosy it was, perfect for travelling and touring in. When I got in touch to purchase my own, the service was friendly and time efficient, getting my Van within a month, very excited for me trip at the start of next year

Big Wave campers was recommended to me by a friend as me and my partner were looking for a camper van to travel in next year. After some research we decided to go ahead with the purchase and we were not left disappointed.
The specs were designed to every detail we requested, the staff were great throughout the whole process and we now have a perfect camper van to travel in!
Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a camper van, 10/10 service.

We bought our van in June 2019. They were easy to deal with and did a great job on the two tone paint job and the van conversion. It was great value and they delivered as promised 4 weeks after we placed our deposit. We noticed a vibration from the wheels/ engine/ gearbox under acceleration, but felt it could be sorted by replacing some bushes etc. We had a few problems with the conversion and the van and contacted Big wave campers. I think that their customer service is sketchy. They asked me to return the van to the factory for any repairs. I decided to fix the small problems myself as the cost of returning the van to the factory would exceed the price of a broken gas strut, broken lock on sliding window and warped tyre. There was 3 different brands of tyres and pattern fitted to the van. Not illegal but careless. I replaced the warped tyre but the vibration persisted.
I eventually replaced 2 injectors and had the engine ECU reprogrammed by VW, as the ECU had been reprogrammed before we purchased it to help smooth out the bad injectors. I also replaced the 4 engine and gearbox mountings.
I am also changing my dual mass flywheel and clutch as this is rattling away at idle.
Great company. Stunning camper conversion, My van had a full service history but it still cost me a lot of money to get it sorted. I paid for the repairs myself as i wanted it fixed by mechanics. Their camper vans are cheaper than anybody else. Keep some of your budget for repairs as the vans are not new. If you are someone who wants everything perfect from day one, then buy a VW California for £67000

I have no bad feeling towards big wave campers. I got a great conversion in a rough van. I fixed the problems myself as i felt that, If they could not send me a few parts that were broken or missing, then it was unlikely they would get to the root of the vibration problems and replace injectors etc.
Caveat emptor.

This was the best decision of my life! The camper looks and is better than myself and the wife could’ve imagined. The team over at Big Wave were constantly keeping us updated and catered to our every need. I cannot fault them in the slightest. We cannot wait to tour around Europe in it!! I am honestly blown away and will be recommending them to all my new and previous fellow campers. I can’t thank them enough. I have no doubt we will be back in the future.

Picked up my new camper a few days ago and it was very much worth the wait! Couldn’t be happier with the design and interior, all done to the specs I had personally chosen and completed within a 3 week period. I was a bit skeptical making such a big purchase, but my worries were instantly gone when speaking to the team regularly throughout my build journey. When I finally saw the finished camper, it blew me away with how good it looked, top quality products fitted in a top of the range camper. Worth every penny and the cheapest on the market. I’d recommend all my friends, family and even strangers to go and have a look at the stock they have or enquire about building your own, it will honestly be the best journey and decision of your life! Would highly recommend!
