I have just bought a Vauxhall Combo from Big Car World. I'd seen the car online & phoned to make an appointment to see the car. I found them very easy to talk to, no pressure. They left me to look around the vehicle without anyone looking over ny shoulder.
I liked the relaxed service they offered, very friendly & upfront. They told ne about a couple of scratches & a stone chip on the car & invited me to go for a test drive.
All the paperwork was completed & the tax was done so I was able to drive the vehicle home.
Its early days & I hope the car lives up to my expectations, but the service was excellent.

Avoid big car world Leicester like the plague.
I’ve had an absolute nightmare with this company. From the moment I got the car, everything went downhill. I was dealing with someone called ray.
I was told the car would be ready for collection once I signed the documents, so I travelled all the way from Manchester to Leicester. I arrived at 11am and didn’t leave the dealership until 7pm because the car wasn’t ready. An entire day wasted.
When I finally saw the car, the condition was shocking. The interior was in a terrible state, and there were scratches all over the exterior that were never shown or mentioned on the Zuto website.
It gets worse — I was told the admin fee would be waived, but when it came down to it, I was forced to pay it anyway. Completely misleading.
To top it all off, the car didn’t even start in their own car park. They had to charge the battery just so I could drive away, and then we broke down on the motorway shortly after leaving.
I’ve since tried to return the car, but the company is refusing to accept it, despite the widely known 14-day return period. At this point, my biggest regret is ever dealing with big car world . I should have gone elsewhere.

Illegal behaviour
I bought a car from this company and part exchanged my old car in October 2025. Since this happened, I have continued to receive parking fines and correspondence from the DVLA regarding tax for the vehicle i traded in. Each time I have contacted the dealership I was advised that this was being sorted right away. In the end, I have had to contact both the DVLA and parking companies myself to notify them that I haven’t had the car for 5 months. This dealership is clearly allowing somebody to drive an untaxed and uninsured car, totally illegal. Bunch of absolute cowboys, and the sales people are all inexperienced kids that don’t know anything about cars

Bought a car mid Feb and of course sales went great, all perfect, car driven well until 2 days later after purchase when check engine light showed up so took the car back to the garage as they offered 3 months warranty for gearbox and engine but before that get the car checked by my local technician who told me it's EGR fault, of course the fault hasn't been recognised at the big car world and they said it was DPF so they only cleaned DPF and returned the car after 4 days. 2 days later surprise, check engine light came on again and now the fault wasn't only EGR but also DPF which they said they fixed it at the first attempt. Another 5 days without the car as they don't even bother to contact me with the progress. So picked up the car as they said they been test driving it few days just to make sure it's all fine and what they couldn't even secure the undertray correctly. Avoid at all cost, they don't want to accept return of the vehicle but at the same time they not able to fix it to the standard. I'm only hoping to not to have to deal with them never ever again, not respecting their customers, trying to fix the fault at the lower cost hoping this will do till 3 months warranty will pass and then it's not going to be their problem. Worse experience ever. The fault came on again for the 3rd time so I request car to be returned and now they want to charge me £0,45 per mileage even tho most of the journeys been done to the garage and back to get the fault resolved and I don't leave close. If necessary I will proceed to legal authorities as I won't let them to deal with the customers as they do now.

Logbook Lost - Liars
My partner purchased a car from BCW. They insisted that would sort out the V5C logbook for the car and it hasn't happened. She contacted them twice over the phone both times it was promised they would sort it and submit the form and it hasn't happened. Over a year later I went into the showroom personally and they promised to my face that they would submit the V62 as they had mislaid the paperwork. I sat there with one of them while they filled out the form. They didn't follow through with the paperwork and have continued to lie consistently. If anyone deals with these I would suggest you defer any payment to them on anything until they sort out the paperwork as they do not operate in good faith and as soon as they have the requisite deposit or payments they do nothing. Awful service. Essentially liars. Cannot be trusted.

I would not recommend this company
I would not recommend this company. They are extremely unprofessional and the quality of the vehicles are very poor. I have only had my vehicle 4 days and already have found issues with the vehicle. Rejected the vehicle and was told I will lose £500 due to the logbook being changed and miles. Also very unprofessional over the phone, other people shouting in the background telling them what to say.
Paperwork they try and get you to sign also goes against statutory rights claiming they only cover upto £500!!!
Avoid at all cost. I wish I had.
