I've stopped using Betfair after a very long time. I enjoyed their offers, which they had occasionally, which promised to reward losing bets up to £10 with a free bet up to the same amount. Suddenly I found myself excluded from these without an explanation. I contacted the online helpline but the chap there was completely unhelpful. It says in the terms and conditions of these type of bet that you won't get them if you've opted in to their 'basic rewards', but I haven't opted in to anything - certainly not knowingly. I now use SMarkets, but I did prefer the layout of the Betfair site

Placed several bets for the masters under the "winner" category.

Bets somehow were placed under the "leader after the 1st round category".

Thinking I made a mistake, I attempted to re-place my bets and eat my mistake until I noticed that people picked under the winner category again somehow were being selected in the "leader after 1st round" category also.

I screen-recorded this to prove that there is a bug on their platform and attempt to have the bets reversed. Attempted to contact support but of course, their web page on a desktop just spins you around in circles. Only possible via phone.

Informed Betfair of this before the masters started. The agent simply could not comprehend what I was saying. Did not seem to have a grasp of the English language. Sending me over to other people constantly. The usual "I don't want to deal with this" mindset they all seem to have.

Eventually, received an email from Karl stating the bet was final and I did place it under the "leader after 1st round" category. He obviously did not bother to read my chat with his agent or he would realize that I have evidence this error pertains to the Betfair platform and not a mistake on my part. Apparently, for the customer's convenience (lol), we are unable to respond to emails (more like the convenience of their bottom line). So he kindly sends me a link that does not work and if it did, brings me back to a general agent that would only have to refer the case back to his department.

It is all a poorly orchestrated dance that they force you to partake in hopes you will just leave them alone and they keep your money. Don't believe me? just look at their reviews. Agents as we speak are asking me for my betting IDs and asking me to explain again what has happened. Does this sound like the best service they can offer you? Or does it sound like a method to make people go away while being able to have some form of contact on their website to show they have a support center for future customers?

Keep my money so. As you will do regardless. I will close my account and also be avoiding Paddy Power, which they own and I will ensure that other exchanges are not owned by this group before I use them.

And let us all ignore the more than likely generic apology comment to this review with a plea to contact them so they can investigate this further. It fools nobody and we all see it for what it is.

I opened an account putting in £10.00 to find that they needed to know my life story after receiving my money.
I have informed them to reimburse my funds and close my account.

Tried to open an account with Betfair .Because I would not go into extensive details of my income.They blatantly lied that I had self excluded thus excluding me from Betfair, Paddy power and Sky bet. Why would I try to open an account and then self exclude, absolute shocking way to treat customers.Avoid

I received an email stating that my account had been banned. I had the account open for less than 72 hours and had 0.72p that I had earned from a free game. I was yet to add any funds to the account but regardless that is not a reason to ban. I can only speculate this is why i was banned but when speaking to customer servive was told they did not need to provide a reason for the ban.
If they wanted to ban me that is fine but a ban and refusing to provide a reason is unacceptable.

Stole my money and closed my account. Let me login, place a bet then immediately said your account is closed and its impossible to contact them in any way at all. Morons!!

Do not trust this company as there strategy is very clever in many different scenarios.
1. They conceal red card of football teams and shots on targets practically there stats are wrong.

2. Is you have games and your bet is looking good they remove the cashout option untill last game is finished and then they offer you penny’s.

3. Operators hang up the phone when you complain and when you request a manager call back your always ignored very rude!

Impossible to win on this site thousands of pounds I have spent on here actually I am 4000 pound down and I get a bonus with not even a single win spin on games I am down 1500 and can't even hit a win spin on a bonus unbelievable.

I had account with Betfair for more than 20 years but all of a sudden they asked me to send last three months bank statements, source of income and photocopy of my expired Debit card of last year, my driving licence and passport, only thing they did not ask me was proof of my date of birth LOL which was not only intrusion into my personal life but ludicrous demand of photo copy of expired debit card for more than 11 months. I told them to get stuffed and closed my account immediately.

Instantly closed my account as soon as I wanted to withdraw my winnings.avoid like the plague.spend your money with sky bet not these fraudster

Probably the worst gambling site ever. I restricted myself to £10 per day but can only make a £5 bet at one time. If you don't bet and play their bonus 'daily' game, you will never win.
They advertise it is totally random. It's not.
Their cashout system on football bets are absolutely shocking.
If you want a decent betting company, bet 365 is much, much better

trash company avoid like your life depends on it... i havebt been able to bet with them for years because they just for no reason remove your stake on the sportbook so u cannot even bet 1p. however i have returned to bet on the exchanges, there get in touch live chat wont open on my phone via their trashy little app so i have no way to contact them, pathetic and ridiculous and i am on 5% commission even though i am restricted from promotions so why the hell i aint on 2% they will do anything to get more money off u, scum of the earth company read all the reviews and stay well clear

I placed a bet on the sportsbook which won. They paid out my winnings but have kept my stake. I have spent 3 hours on chat and on the phone. The service is non existence. They don't even try and help you.

On 26th May 2022 I contacted Betfair though their messaging service regarding an uncashed cheque for £9000.00 and sent them a copy.I asked them to make a payment to my bank account ,I then proceeded over the next seven weeks to send message after message through their messaging service requesting payment to no avail.

I then received an email from Marina in the payments customer service team on 18th July offering sincere apologies for the delay and time consumed in this matter. As she requested I forwarded my bank details on the return email as advised(although betfair have these details registered on my account).After a few days I had not received payment and sent a further five emails without success.

I then resorted to the messaging service again detailing what had transpired sending numerous messages over the last four weeks and despite being told that payment was being made I still have not received the funds.

You cannot contact Betfair by telephone or email as you could in the past, only this appalling messaging service.

I have kept copies of my thread on the messaging service which if the papers or a journalist got hold of would have a field day.

I have grave concerns that Betfair might have financial problems hence this appalling situation.

I actually really like this site, I don't know what all the negativity is about with people's reviews. They have a huge selection and the pay out instantly with verified players. The promotions could do with a bump like they were before but all taken into consideration this is one of the most credible Group in the world with online gambling. What else could one ask for, seriously.....

This is the worst betting place of all. My bet was void because apparently the was an argument at the end of the match and that was all so they didn't pay me the money I won, I made the same bet on skybet and that was paid out to me and my friend had the same bet in a different house and it was paid. The customer service were rude and just cut the chat off without any explanation, just that the was an argument at the end. Stay away from this betting place as they will take your money eventually.

Im a pensioner and I opened my account late 2021. Set up all my limits. Everything fine until yesterday (18/07/22).
Without warning, I was locked out of my account. Which in turn locked me out of my Bet Angel account. The latter charges a subscription fee, so it’s a cost to me. It’s all rather inconvenient.
When I contacted them, I was advised I needed to upload a multitude of verification docs. Which I’d done not 8 months ago. I wasn’t at home and was unable to do so at that time.
Now a hard days work picking fixtures, loading them into my Bet Angel guardian… Was gone. A complete waste of time.
Any other bookmaker sends you a notification or advises you that your details need updated. They don’t just boot you out. Shambles.
I’ll be 78 years old later this month. This was a great way to keep me mindful. To test my wits against others.
I won’t be updating my details, as I won’t be taking the chance that your shambles of company can just step in out of nowhere and lock me out of my own account, and in turn lock me out of my Bet Angel account.
So unprofessional.
