Don’t waste your money
Don’t waste your money. Beneden very good at taking money for a service they cannot provide. Customer service representatives absolutely useless, first person i spoke to gave false information making me get a gp referral letter for a service they cannot provide. Second person was unhelpful and unprofessional. Will be cancelling mine and my families membership.

When I called to speak with the doctor an appointment was made for lunchtime the same day and had my prescription emailed to me moments after the call . I had the choice of video call or voice call . It was as easy as 1 2 3

Speedy Professional Service
Speedy, friendly, professional service. Hospital for my care was close to where I live. Being able to use Benenden for 2 operations and another diagnosis saved me months of pain and waiting. So worth the money.

Massive training issue with ALL staff
Absolutely appalling customer service. I’ve had a catalogue of issues with Benenden, but today was the final straw.
I had already been authorised for a medical test after being given around five different private providers by staff, only to discover that none of them actually offered the test. After escalating this as a complaint, I was eventually told by a complaints handler that Benenden would honour it, and I provided all the information requested.
Today, I called to follow up and explained the situation to the adviser. She then spoke to a "senior" and came back telling me the test needed to be authorised and that it wasn’t something Benenden would cover — despite it already having been authorised and clearly documented in my notes.
After I pointed this out, she admitted the mistake, spoke to the senior again, and I was then told to go back to a complaints handler.
This is the biggest issue I have with Benenden: I constantly find myself having to explain their own notes, decisions and processes to their staff. I genuinely feel like I’m training their employees when I don’t even work for the company.
There is clearly a serious training and communication issue. Staff seem unable or unwilling to properly read the information already available on an account, and nobody takes ownership of resolving the problem.
I’m fed up with being passed from customer service, to a "senior", to complaints, only to end up back where I started. Absolutely frustrating and nowhere near the standard of service I would expect.
PLEASE NOTE trust pilot can only accept a set amount of words and there was much more to say!
