UPDATE: bCast's Tom Hunt and team have advised that they will HONOUR Lifetime Account Owners and will not be closing them down after all...Good News, now time will tell...I am willing to give them the benefit of the doubt provided they do the right thing going forward...again, we'll be watching...

BCast works correctly.

Is a very good option for those who want to host their podcasts.

I am an early adaptor of bcast. They are unethical & unscrupulous thieves. I regret backing them, as they have told us today, 12/16, that they are sorry, but they are cancelling our agreements, without refunding us, because they don’t know how to handle their finances or budget. But if we want to keep their product, we must pay again. Buyer beware!

I know everyone is upset from bcast
And what they did is a stupid mistake but now it is time to give a 2nd chance

bCast was on AppSumo in summer 2020 and again in winter 2021.

Today, December 16th, they announced to lifetime deal purchasers that they will no longer honor their agreement and are removing all LTD users from the platform unless we pay a monthly subscription fee.

This is only 9 months since they left AppSumo.

Were the company shutting down entirely, I wouldn't be so upset. Things happen and businesses fail. That's part of the risk investing in lifetime deals.

But in this case, the company is continuing to offer the same services, but cutting LTD users out of the equation. This goes against the agreement provided by bCast's listing on AppSumo: that the LTD purchasers would have access to the product as long as that product is available.

This move tells me that bCast will not be around much longer, so I cannot in good faith suggest you host your podcast with them. It's far too much of a hassle to move your podcast and is 100% not worth the risk.

Edit 12/22/21: bCast's reply says they are still supporting LTD users – this is true, but only because they changed their minds after the backlash they received. My original review is still 100% accurate and true as of the time it was written. Don't let bCast's reply which omits key details fool you.

Initially we all had problems with bcast at mass but now it’s resolved. Hope the support continues.

As a podcaster, your content is PRECIOUS and an investment. So you need a platform you can rely on.

The Bcast startup used founders money, to finance it's operation with a "lifetime" deal. I was one of those founders.

Today I got only 2 weeks NOTICE TO QUIT as they were renegading on the lifetime deal, not partially, but COMPLETELY.

I either have to subscribe or loose my work, or move it somewhere else.

The cost of this is not the monthly fee.
It's the investment in my time on this platform.
It's the investment in all my podcast links being with bcast.

Other podcast platforms are still offering lifetime free podcasting, with ZERO investment.

But I thought as a founder I would be MORE secure if I paid upfront. And also enabled a fledgling business to evolve and grow.

It's impossible to trust Tom Hunt to continue with my business, in the fact this happened, in the way it has been handled, and in the lack of care and respect for me investing in founding his company.

As a podcaster we MUST RELY and TRUST in our partners. Our work is precious and the cost of moving it, or loosing it, or prices being raised until they do not warrant their costs, are things not to be taken lightly.

It's hours and hours and months of work to build a podcast up. And then when your service provider lets you down, it is a mammoth blow.

I suggest you seriously contemplate this before you choose where to invest your podcastings future.

Mine will be gone, in 14 days now.

I bought a lifetime deal on bCast. Even though I didn't need the software at the time, I thought since they were selling lifetime access it paid to get a package so I'd have it when I needed it. Within a year, they sent out a notice that all lifetime deals will be considered expired within two weeks and our only option is to switch to a paid monthly account. I found this a huge violation of trust.

I am just getting started in podcasting and chose bCast based on all the postive feedback I have heard about the platform. I had a minor issue redeeming some codes and Chad was able to resolve it and get me going! Thanks! Your company overdelivered when it mattered.

Update: Bcast changed their mind as a reaction to lifetime deal communities response. I don't change this review from 1 star back to the 5 stars I gave previously because all is forgotten but because I was 100% happy with every single aspect of bcast and it's team until the shady move. If the shady move means they were never genuine or if it was just a mistake, doesn't matter. There would be no point in staying with bcast without believing in them. And no point in staying without supporting bcast. I would love for bcast to succeed and to honor our trust because I really, truly loved the product and would love to stay.

Bcast turned from one of the best deals I made to the very worst deal I made. And that in a matter of seconds. I loved using the software. It worked great and I didn't have any problems but after less than a year bcast decided to cancel all lifetime accounts. I host 4 podcasts on bcast. Switching will be a pain but staying with a scammy, non-trustworthy company is probably worse. If you are on the fence, thinking of subscribing to bcast. Don't! There is nothing else to say. There are enough legit podcast hosts out there.

bCast is an excellent podcast hosting platform. I truly enjoy their white labeling feature as well as the ability to do one-click distribution to multiple big podcasting players. The UI is intuitive, and support responds quickly to inquiries. Top notch product with even better support = win!

I'm not the techiest of people, a fact which can give me some rather significant headaches; I was able to breathe a huge sigh of relief when I came across bCast. If I can use it then anyone can!!! The support is great. The number of features that you get with bCast is just superb, and it's not going to break the bank. I highly recommend bCast as a platform on which to spread your message.

I have already asked him on several occasions, and he has always been attentive and more than effective and above all benevolent.

bCast has been an invaluable tool for us as we launch our very first podcast! The platform is user-friendly and very intuitive. I published the podcast and first episode with ease and no prior podcasting experience. The episode transcript service has been awesome and the Headliner integration is so cool! When it came time to submit to the various podcast directories, Audre at bCast was extremely helpful at getting us set up. The podcast website that is auto-created with bCast also looks great. And the email subscribe function is a marketer's dream feature! I highly recommend bCast to anyone looking to start and grow a podcast.

I recently signed up for bCast for my podcast hosting and distribution. I used to use Wordpress plugin Simple Podcast Plugin which worked very well for years.

But as my podcast has grown I need more functionality and tracking.

bCast has been really powerful and exciting so far! I can update the intros and outros of many episodes at a time so that I can update my promotions, something that would have been way too expensive and time consuming otherwise.

I had looked into other apps/services, but none seemed to bring it all together enough to motivate me to make the switch.

I've been using bCast for less than a week but I'm a fan! I would highly recommend giving bCast a try!
