Absolutely terrible quality control. I llaced an order on a Thursday and surpringly it arrived on Saturday ---very happy with the quick shipping! I irdered 3 items that arrived in two different packages from UPS----2 were wrapped in additional plastic, while another one was just the garment (a navy dress) in the shipping bag. The navy dress had CLEARLY been worn, as evidenced by the deodorant stains all over the bottom front of the dress. There were also deodorant stains on the inside armpit area. Since the navy dress must have been shipped directly from a store, it is beyond bonkers that someone thought it was an acceptable condition to be sold and shipped.
I reached out to customer service and chatted online with a "live representative" who was obviously just clicking on pre-written responses. That alone was frustrating, but the "solution" to my problem was for me to return the item and pay for shipping and then reorder the item and they would give me the "standard" shipping rate-----my original order was free shipping so obviously this did not make any sense. I do not have any Banana Republic factory stores close to me, so this entire situation reminded me of why I stopped purchasing from them in the first place. Their quality control and quality of overall items has gone so far downhill in the past six or so years. This is actually the first time I have bought anything from them in a few years and I will not be purchasing anything from them again. I'm not sure what is more frustrating.. the fact that someone put a used dress in a shipping bag to send to a paying customer or the fact that live representative is completely useless.

Wow over 3 weeks to get a package. Originally shipped UPS ground saver. Which I know takes longer because they send it through USPS. What a mess. Looks like somebody drove over my package or walked on it with dirty boots ripping up the label. It took so long to get to me thank goodness the item inside wasn't damaged. What a disaster. I'm totally shocked that they can figure out where it needed to be delivered.

I ordered white linen blend pants in a size medium, I had previously ordered them in flax and they fit nicely. I received the package only to find green shorts in a size large. When I called, I was told it was my responsibility to return the item to UPS. When I tried to reorder the white pants, the only size available was a large. I decided to try them, unfortunately they were too big. Moreover, they arrived in a gray Banana Republic factory envelope, they were balled up inside, not folded, not even put in tissue or a secure plastic covering as the previous items were packaged. They were a wrinkled mess and have a small ink stain by the pocket. I'm appalled that your quality control passed these through to a customer. You should revisit your quality control guidelines as receiving the wrong item and then receiving an obviously returned item in bad condition is unacceptable. Once again, I will have to find time to return them to a UPS location. Additionally, the sizing is completely off on many items. This experience was very disappointing.

Banana republic factory quality has dwindled and the prices have increased dramatically in the last few months. A blazer I paid $40 on sale is now $100 on sale. Tops I paid $8 for are now $20. You’re better off purchasing directly from banana republic, shameful how expensive items are at the outlet store for such poor quality. I have literally worn things for one season and it has to go to recycle.

BUYER BEWARE I paid extra for 2-5 day shipping. Ordered 6 items. They created a shipping label then the package never made it to UPS. This was a total scam. They still have my money and expect me to file paperwork and a claim for something they NEVER shipped. Buyer beware. I feel so scammed.

Doesn't follow their refund policy for defective items

This was a very frustrating experience. The company sent me the wrong item and failed to send the one I paid for. I followed their instructions, returned the incorrect item, and reordered the missing one, yet my refund was never processed.
This issue occurred in January, and it wasn’t until late February — after I reached out again — that I finally received an email stating the refund would be issued within 10 business days. I shouldn’t have to chase down a refund for the company’s mistake after already spending time returning the product. Extremely disappointing service.

I purchased a pair of pajamas and was sent the wrong ones. It took 3 separate phone calls to finally get the correct shipping label due to the phone cutting out and confused customer service representatives to finally get them returned. I reordered and again, they sent the wrong pajamas. Then, they only refunded me for the price of the pajamas and not for shipping even though it was an error on their end. I will never order from this company ever again and would advise others not to as well!!

They keep cancelling my order because billing is abroad.
However, after understanding the procedure you just need to contact them.

I bougth 5 times and they cancel my order in suspect of fraud.... i create new account and same thing dont know what is the scam or thing because i paid with my credit card and maybe for that reason they cancel dont know whats gonna happen if anyone paid with debit card

I bought several items on 8/4/25 at the BR factory online
Some items were shipped with UPS and others with Laser
The ones in Laser did not move since the shipment date (8/4/25). The company stated that they do not have any updated information today,8/6/2025. The expected day of delivery is today, and the items are in TN not moving. I called customer service and they told me that they were sending a form to be completed via email The forms has not arrived Horrible customer services

I have been buying Banana Factory Slim-fit traveler jeans for over 10 years. They changed the cut to a higher waist, and it is unflattering! The salesperson confirmed my complaint and said others have noticed the same. Why would they mess up a good thing? If they want to change this, just introduce it as a new style with a higher waist and keep the "original". Now I need to find another go-to pair of jeans! I am VERY disappointed.

I have been trying to place order and get is sipped to US. My order was cancelled 4 times!!!!!!!!!!!! The reason of cancelling : potential fraud. This is insane!!!!!

I've ordered dozens of pieces from BananaRepublicFactory. The clothes are fashionable and seem reasonably priced, especially if you hit a good sale, but when weighing quality to price, the value is not there. The linen really disappoints, you get one or two wears and one wash, it does not hold its color or shape. The cotton office shirts are okay (wash in cold, hang to dry), and the blue jeans are all right. The cream jeans, however, began pilling before they were even washed. Honestly, for the price of one pair of BananaRepublic jeans, I can purchase three or four pairs on ThredUp that are of equal or better quality. I really love Banana Republic fit and style, but I'm not okay with just one wear or a handful of wears at best.

Do not buy anything on sale, what they don't tell you is they do not accept returns for discounted items.
