We bought an FSL930CHEO Chepstow Oak Cantilever TV Stand about three years ago, for a new LG 48” TV. It was a very simple task to construct it, it is genuinely eye-catchingly attractive, very solid and highly adjustable, and several visitors have noticed and commented on how good it looks and how well it complements our other wooden furniture.

All was well until a few days ago when I dropped a heavy glass candlestick on the edge of the glass shelf. The candlestick shattered, the shelf merely chipped, but left a very sharp edge. I phoned AVF expecting to hear that I couldn’t get a shelf separately, or the design had changed. Not at all.

Lydia, who from her job title may well have designed the stand, told me that I should change the shelf, as tempered glass can spontaneously shatter after a shock, that they did supply replacement shelves, and that the cost, including p&p, was the princely sum of £20! Immediately after she’d taken payment it was despatched, she sent me an email with the tracking number, and I received it, well-packaged and intact less than 24 hours later.

This is an excellent product, sold by a company with superb customer-focus. Looking at the few other reviews, most of the customers do seem to have had a similar experience to my own. One - Marcus Sparticus, seems to have had trouble reading what I thought were perfectly clear graphical instructions. I cannot speak for the design or build of the TV cabinet that seems to have so enraged Mr Walker, but a look at his other reviews suggests that many things enrage him, and I would take his ire with a pinch of salt.

In my opinion AVF are a company with exceptional design and customer care values and I will be even happier to recommend their products after this very positive after-care experience.

Gutter tv cabinet made as cheap as poss.

I ordered one of their AVF Infinity TV corner style cabinets which has four silver legs and to say the quality was bad is an understatement.

I ordered mine via a major UK retailer and it arrived on time but the fun started then when the poor courier couldn't manage it out of the van and at 55KG's im not suppressed.

As I started to open the large flatpacked box it became clear its been over-engineered and built to some complexity so rather than keep it straight forwards this company had in fact made it unnecessarily complicated and hard work for the end user (You) to put together.

There were bags and bags of screws, attachments and all sorts in the box, I've never seen anything quite like it.

So I tried to lay out all the items but my living room wasn't big enough, The instructions were somewhat ok to figure out but too small to make out what some of the diagrams were saying?.

As I laid down the first section of steel frame (One section is for the top and one for the bottom) I knew straight away that the quality of the screws and steel frame was a "Chinese special" or as cheap as can be, ultra thin steel frame with terribly cheap screws.

As I tried to progress the build the more I saw "Corners cut" by the manufacturer! Anyone who knows how to weld will know that IF you're building a steel frame and one that can hold a 55 inch tv on you tack weld it first and then fully weld it for maximum strength right!

NOPE! This is where it started to get scary! the frame all over and on every section where it joined another was just 'tack welded' offering the absolute lowest forms of strength all down to cost cutting and to maximise the speed of throwing these units out of the factory as quick as possible.

I also had issues with the rubber matting which was on the top corners that comes already glued down to them, the fitting was dire and in some places was over 4mm off from the other so it was very visible to see, I would also like to mention I gave up building it after getting around 25% into it and knew I simply wasn't happy with the build quality more so it being £400 from the retailer, the wood piece that went across the front was so far out from one side to the other I could almost sit my finger in the gap!.

I REALLY wished Trustpilot would allow photos to be uploaded because the proof I have what a state the cabinet was would shock some of you, in fact I've been in touch with the retailer I bought it from and they replied that the photos are dire and not what they are accustomed to selling so its going right back to the factory.

I really don't know about the other reviews and if they are legit but from what I'm seeing by reviewing this company is they haven't exactly set the world on fire with the customer feedback of their products, my advice review the company like I did but do it BEFORE you buy ANY of their products.

We needed some replacement door hinges for our "Panorama PM160" TV stand so contacted the manufacturer AVF Group via their website. We were able to provide details of our TV stand and within 24 hours we received a complete new set of hinges. Thankyou again for your help.

I purchased a avsgroup TV floor stand (AR-FSL700LEB)) from Argos a week ago for my living room. The instruction manual has no written instructions, just very confusing diagrams. It is impossible to fathom how this is supposed to be constructed. I phoned there help line but was told they could not help me further as that was the only set of instructions they have. They also have no youtube help video which most manufacturers have.
If you are thinking of making a purchase from this company, be aware that you will need advanced level DIY skills to work this all out and you will receive no help from avfgroup.

I purchased an AVF TV stand online from my usual suppler having downloaded the user instructions from their website to confirm it would fit my TV. When the TV stand turned up I noticed on the box and in the user instructions that the dimensions were different to the ones I had obtained online. The unit looked to be exactly what I had wanted so before deciding to return it I contacted AVF for help. I spoke with Jon who could not have done more to come up with a solution. Ultimately, with help from Jon and his colleagues at AVF I was able to successfully attach my TV to the stand and am extremely pleased with the result. Exemplary service from AVF.

I ordered one of these stands via Currys, who used DHL to deliver it. DHL lost it and I'm still trying to get my money back. As this was the only stand that would fit in our bay window, I orded another one. This time via Robert Dyas, this one was succesfully delivered by DHL in a couple of days. The stand looks great and fits just right. However the middle and bottom shelves that are meant to hold 10kg each are so thin that they bend you place thing on them. I have had to make a support to stop the glass bending as I thought it might break. Great stand shame about the lower glass shelves, why don't you make them from the same glass as the top?

We broke a glass door on a £300 tv cabinet made by this company, a complete accident. I contacted them as the retailer could not help and they sent a replacement at a very reasonable £15 , they deserve a shout out for looking after their customers
