A great learning experience with lots of practical elements.
The ability to work at your own pace was great. Some tutorials and assignments could be done more quickly than others, but the flexibility with timings for submitting assignments helped reduce any pressure. There were frequent typo and grammatical errors in several of the tutorials which detracted from the standards of professionalism. However, the communication with the dedicated student assistance team was outstanding. Likewise, assignments were usually graded and feedback received within a week. The tutors were incredibly helpful and encouraging with their guidance. It was a really positive environment and experience.

I highly recommend this course!
I undertook the The Professional Photo, Film,
TV & Personal Stylist’s Course as I was re-entering the personal styling profession after an eight year hiatus. I hoped the course would get me thinking like a stylist again, give me newfound knowledge, confidence and enthusiasm. This course did exactly that!
To anyone looking to enter any of the various pathway’s professional styling can lead, I cannot recommend this course highly enough. Even if you have no intention of commercial endeavours in the field of styling, but just have a general interest in fashion and/or styling, I highly recommend you engage in this course. The team at the Australian College of Professional Styling and my tutor Trish were absolutely wonderful to communicate with and always there to help and support.

Turning a passion into Reality…
Having always wanted to pursue personal styling professionally, I was unsure how to take that step without a formal qualification. After coming across the Australian College of Professional Styling online, I was genuinely excited to discover a program that was both affordable and flexible enough to complete from home at my own pace. That accessibility made it possible for me to finally move forward with a passion I've held for many years.
With over 30 years of experience in the retail fashion industry, I already had a broad knowledge base; yet I still found the course very informative and worthwhile. It offered valuable depth not only in fashion itself, but in understanding how to apply style principles to different body shapes, proportions, skin tones, and personal lifestyles.
I particularly appreciated the structured guidance and the reassurance of knowing tutor support was available if I ever needed help clarifying a concept. I’ve already started putting these strategies into practice through my daily retail work, and completing this course has given me the confidence to formally present myself as a stylist, which I am very proud of. I’m grateful for the opportunity to learn in such a flexible environment and for the encouragement the course has provided as I continue my styling journey."

Enjoyed this course…
Throughout the course it was easy to communicate with the college who are obviously professionals in their field. They were also flexible and understanding.

Room for improvement
I enjoyed and learnt a lot from the styling course . I also appreciated Trish as my tutor.
I would recommend the following for better results:
Update the material ( many links are non existent anymore, some designers mentioned are no longer alive , and it is obvious that most tutorials are written at least a decade ago) Adjust the materials for australia (obvious they are written for UK mainly)
I would have loved to be able to be more interactive with the tutor . There was no way to contact them directly . I had to go via the admin which makes it cumbersome losing the momentum.
A tutorial on how to use social media would be beneficial .

A great online learning experience
A great online learning experience. Trish was my experienced mentor and she enhanced my learning experience by giving me wonderful industry tips and ideas to enhance my Styling career.
The admin staff were also wonderful and made the administration side of the course a very smooth and pleasant experience. Any questions I had about the course material or industry were answered by them or Trish in a timely manner.

Very thorough course!
This course was great because you could study and do assignments at your own pace (within a year). Feedback was excellent and honest. The course outline was very thorough and covered all areas of Styling. I have now good knowledge of Personal Styling and am feeling quite confident in perusing this profession.

I have really enjoyed the course and…
I have really enjoyed the course and getting back into studying. The course provided a great broad overview of professional styling which will help in narrowing the type of styling I wish to proceed with. I found the information and feedback from my tutor extremely helpful and an excellent part of the course. I think the course could benefit from having an updated section regarding platforms such as Facebook, Instagram,TikTok and also on the likes of Canva.

Extremely thorough and well-researched course
Extremely thorough course that covered the styling industry comprehensively. Detailed tutorials offered relevant industry information and the assignments were well-considered. The tutorials were written in a clear and informative style while the assignments were both relevant and detailed. Feedback was honest, positive and encouraging. Would highly recommend this course to anyone considering styling as a future career path. I will definitely be revisiting the tutorials in the future as part of my development as a stylist. The course was incredibly inspiring…
The course was incredibly inspiring to be involved in. The range of assignments allowed me to explore my interests in styling and learn about areas I didn’t know existed, such as colour analysis. It felt like it has set me up with an understanding of fashion and the impact of styling that I didn’t have before.
