AWFUL service. Do not trust / use!

Update: still waiting to hear please can customer services get in touch! Heard nothing since they replied to this thread.
No compensation given. :( ? What terrible service that ruined our engagement. My fiancé proposed to me with a gorgeous ring last October. The ring needed to be re sized slightly so we made a trip into the branch to sort this and was guaranteed it would be sent and done within 2 weeks especially with Christmas round the corner. 4/5 weeks later and after constant chasing about our ring with many failed attempts at getting through to anyone at customer service or the shop, we were told little to nothing right up until Christmas.

Then to our absolute dismay, we were told that sadly the ring has been lost in the post on route back to Manchester mail centre!!?.
Along with other orders from the shop.

So our ring was just lost. Right before Christmas and weeks after we originally was meant to be receiving the resized ring back. As it’s an engagement ring and the ring my partner had already proposed to me with, we were heartbroken that they could simply loose such a package.

After many disappointing emails and finally someone was able to speak to us via the phone (we weren’t aloud their number or any customer service number only an email) which proved frustrating. We were told they would simply just remake the ring for us.

It doesn’t replace what they have lost. The least they should do is remake the ring which THEY have lost. All of Christmas and new year we were without the ring again waiting for the remake which was another few weeks.

We had to book another appointment and more time off work to travel into the city centre store to collect the ring once it had been resized and made….
We go into the store for the third time to collect the ring thinking everything will be ok and they had remade the ring…BUT to the WRONG size. ?!

After we checked with them numerous times and having email confirmation that the ring would be the NEW size… it was made to the original order size?! And no one had checked it for us before we made the travel into the store. We were in disbelief of the incompetence.

Ridiculous so much for being their highest priority and taking the care and thought after what had happened to us originally. So we left the store AGAIN without the ring having to have it re sized and sent away for a second time. The whole experience has just tainted our engagement sadly, you’d expect the highest level of customer service with the value of items at stake here.

Please avoid!! With the amount of bad communication, careless thought and our trust completely broken we won’t be returning to Austen and Blake and advise others to do the same. With no care or thought over people’s sentimental belongings once money has been taken, the after care is truly awful.. Please can customer service respond to our emails!?!! The ring was/is lovely just such a shame about the service and how long it’s taken to be resolved. Specifically the after care. No compensation has been given and we are still awaiting a response.

Amazing Austen & Blake!

We made an appointment at the Manchester store to buy our wedding rings and Charlotte our diamond specialist was above and beyond helpful in supporting us with choosing our wedding bands and talking us through all the options. We even decided to upgrade my engagement ring to complete the set. We were able to collect them in only 3 weeks and the rings are absolutely gorgeous!! Can’t thank Austen and Blake and Charlotte enough for sorting us out! Amazing customer service and customer experience end to end.

Great people to deal with. Excellent product. Thought I would have to return the earrings ( my decision) and the staff couldn’t have been more helpful. Choose not to return in the end.

Very happy with the ring

The earrings for my wife ....they where…

The earrings for my wife ....they where very difficult to secure as the butterfly connections where not possible to connect on to the posts. i told customer service and all they said was to return them. This was a xmas present and i had to make other arrangements, so i am not happy.!!

20 out of 10 all day long

Absolutely tremendous service from the minute we walked through the door, through the ‘trying on of the ring’, waiting for the ring to come and then finally picking it up. The feel good factor is never more evident than when you visit this shop. Michael was fantastic and underpins this review. We are going back for our wedding rings without a second thought

My experience

The service provided by Michael and his staff was exceptional.

Prior to the proposal, head office sent letters to my address, which was an unsatisfactory gesture. Had they not been so considerate, I would have canceled my order. However, the understanding and assistance I received from Michael and the staff were invaluable, leading me to decide to proceed with the purchase.

Despite the unfortunate incident, I would wholeheartedly recommend them to my friends and plan to return for the wedding bands.

10/10 experience, can’t fault them.

Great service by Alyshia

Purchased an engagement ring back in November and had a brilliant experience from attending the appointment to getting the service I needed to pick the ring on the day. It was exactly what we wanted and the options provided were extensive. Alyshia was brilliant throughout the whole process and I recently returned to have the ring resized and again everything was sorted wth zero issues. Would highly recommend Austen Blake.

From our first visit to the store, Alyshia was wonderful. She gave us the opportunity to view a few of the ring styles we had seen online.
We proceeded to place our order and had left it a little late. As promised, our rings arrived before Xmas and in time for our Engagement! :)
We will definitely be using Austen & Blake again soon.

Engagement ring

A huge thank you for alyshia at the Manchester store, her service was brilliant! I originally went in September after visiting a few diamond retailers and engagement shops over a period of time, I instantly felt confidence in alyshia and she helped me secure the perfect engagement ring for my girlfriend compared to some of stores I just didn't get the same vibe there. With little knowledge of diamonds and the types of rings personally, alyshia educated me and provided support in choosing exactly what my girlfriend would have wanted, safe to say she loves it and we're on cloud nine, thank you so much for your brilliant service and for the great communication and updates over the last few months!! We'll certainly be back to chose our wedding rings from here! Xx

And still waiting to hear from them, issue after issue. Terrible customer service, you try and call and no one picks up. The band of the ring has changed shape twice. And both time we had to take the ring back to the Manchester store driving in and taking time out to do this. For such a big purchase do not use them... this is the Manchester store but I wouldn't advise you to use any store. We are still awaiting an outcome and just now tried to call again and I still can't get hold of anyone. For such a big thing they have ruined every part of my current experience of being engaged - in terms of the ring. I loved the look of the ring but once we noticed the band changed shape I was upset, and now I’m still waiting to hear the outcome weeks on. After calling 20+ times this morning I have finally got through to someone who couldn’t give me any more information than I already knew but assured me we would hear from someone to sort the issue… it’s crazy that I’m having to chase this at this stage. The whole experience has totally tainted it and I will be doing another review to update this. But from my current situation and having worked in e-commerce for a big brand myself and knowing how a good brand works I would never advise anyone to use them.

As this was my first experience buying…

As this was my first experience buying a ring a didn't know what to expect. Rosie at Austen Blake in Manchester was amazing from the second I met her. Gave me great advice answered all the questions I had and her patience and customer service was great. Couldn't recommend her and her team enough. Their rings are of course stunning also.
