Great and quick car rental in Ljubljana airport. Could reserve extra 15€ for full coverage when picking up the vehicle.

Friendly staff, great service and price!

This was my fifth year in a row using services of ATET Rental Car company. My experience is following:

Customer Service: The check-in process was smooth and staff were professional and friendly. They explained all charges clearly and offered optional upgrades without being pushy.

Vehicle Condition: The car was super clean, fueled, and in excellent mechanical condition. It had only 8,500km.on odometer. There was no strange smells or warning lights.

Pickup/Return: Pickup was quick, and the return process was seamless—even with an early morning drop-off.

Pricing Transparency: No surprise fees; everything matched what was shown during online booking.

Flawless, quick, great and well maintained car, I was aware of the 2.5k deposit and it was returned seconds after the drop-off. The staff was kind. Communication was straighr forward. I did not buy any extra coverage and I was just notified what it means - no side selling some things I did not need (I had my own insurance).

This company is a scam. If you don't buy their full coverage up front (which per other reviews is problematic as well) they charge you a thousand dollar deposit paid in advance. I should have run at that point but unfortunately proceeded. I dropped the car off at the airport and they purposely don't bother to inspect the car at that time so you can't challenge any bogus damage claims. Then when you arrive home and unable to dispute anything, they take your deposit and claim fake damages and insultingly add an admin charge (I guess there are costs involved in running a scam). Stay away from this scammy company!

I had a terrible experience with ATET. I paid extra for full body damage insurance, expecting to be protected from minor issues. However, despite reporting a completely insignificant scratch, they still charged me 70 euros, claiming it was an “administration fee for the damage” — a fee that should be covered by the insurance I purchased.

This feels misleading and dishonest. What’s the point of paying for insurance if they charge you anyway for something the insurance is supposed to include? I will definitely not be renting from ATET again, and I strongly advise others to be very careful before choosing this company. Hidden fees and poor customer service make the whole experience extremely frustrating.

Booked through a 3rd party, but had done some research and went specifically for ATET, which turned out to be the right choice. They were amongst the cheaper suppliers, and have the option for return in town close to public transport and return to an open office on weekends - and it was a smooth, friendly and easy pick-up and return. The pick up was thorough, as there were a lot of small damages registered, where we went through pictures and the registrations - and at drop off, there weren't any remarks. So all in all, super easy.

Don't go for Atet if you want peace of mind. We took their total cover package online, but at pickup they said that didn't cover tyres or windows or roadside assistance - so we had to fork out more. Yet they couldn't be reached on given WhatsApp number when we needed assistance while returning the car. And there was no one at the airport counter to help - and this absence was a common joke among other agencies. In the end, it was the courteous Agio guy who guided us on returning the car. Atet's inability to communicate and poor customer service cost us extra charges and much anxiety.

When returning the car, the agency was looking with excessive zeal for small scratches, of which it was not sure they were properly recorded in the quick pre-use inspection. And then an unreasonable 'administrative fee' was added to the bill. Sorry to say that it very much looked like the employees had to find money wherever they could.

I had an absolutely excellent experience with ATET Rent A Car at Ljubljana Airport. The car I booked, a VW Caravelle Automatic, was in superb condition (May 2025 model) with features far beyond what I expected – it truly made our journey comfortable and enjoyable.

The staff were equally impressive. Although I forgot the names of the two gentlemen at the counter, they were professional, quick, and efficient. Special thanks to Ms. Zorica Bubanja, who stood out for her professionalism and support. Right from the quoting stage till the end of the rental, she was always available to promptly answer any query – making the entire process smooth and stress-free.

During the trip, I faced a minor issue regarding AdBlue. I sent an email to ATET and, to my surprise, received a call from their technical team within 5–7 minutes, who guided me to resolve the issue immediately. This kind of responsiveness is rare and truly commendable.

The car return process was equally quick and efficient, and my deposit was refunded within just 2 working days.

Overall, I cannot recommend ATET enough. If only they had branches all across Europe, I would choose them every single time. An excellent company with outstanding service!
