Hi! My name is Cindy and I am the person behind AquaDash, an Australian owned Company, formerly Great Aussie Swim Parkas. I first started Great Aussie Swim Parkas back in 2010 because I wanted a garment that would keep my kids warm and cosy after their swim lessons and would also protect my car seats. Back then I just couldn't find anything. Fast forward 15 years and we can now be found in Swim Schools around Australia and we are building our reputation in the USA. In 2020 when COVID 19 shut down public pools, I decided this was the perfect time to concentrate my efforts on going sustainable and also expanding into swimwear. AquaDash was the result. In short, AquaDash is dedicated to bringing affordable, sustainable quality that is both practical yet comfortable to the pool. It does what you claim it does plus…
It does what you claim it does plus it’s warm. Heading off to my swim classes in the middle of winter are not the motivational challenge they used to be. Now wondering what to do for summer and whether the short option will be cool enough.

I am very happy with my Aquadash swmparka purchase, This is a practical quality product I invested in to encourage myself to continue aquaexercise. I was uncertain re size before ordering and Cindy was only to happy to advise me. I was impressed by their friendly customer service and prompt delivery. I also like the aims and policy of this company donating a percentage of their proceeds to worthy causes.

Did it meet expectations?
I would have given a 5 star review if I had received the colour I ordered! However, the colour I did receive fitted beautifully. I am a size 14-16 ( 18 on bottom) and 167cm tall. I anguished over what size to buy and bought an L expecting it to be too large through the shoulders and arm length. In fact, it fits perfectly and I have room underneath to keep a towel wrapped around my waist for extra water sopping up in the car. It is true that your car seat won’t get wet, but my experience is that water pools in the gown and after getting out of the car, runs down the back of your legs. Might be great in summer, but is unwelcome in winter.
I swim two mornings in a row and during winter have found it challenging to dry under the arms. Dry turned inside out. The double zip is good to release when sitting down but a bit fiddly for arthritic fingers so I suggest a bit of practice before you get to the pool. 🙂
I didn’t bother to exchange the wrong colour as I didn’t buy the gown for the colour. It met all expectations in every other way.

For quicker drying, we sometimes recommend using a small towel or face washer to remove excess water after use, and a quick 10–20 minutes in the dryer can also help with any residual dampness. We also hope the two-way zipper becomes easier to use with a little practice, and we're happy to hear you've found it helpful when sitting down.
