Hi! My name is Cindy and I am the person behind AquaDash, an Australian owned Company, formerly Great Aussie Swim Parkas. I first started Great Aussie Swim Parkas back in 2010 because I wanted a garment that would keep my kids warm and cosy after their swim lessons and would also protect my car seats. Back then I just couldn't find anything. Fast forward 15 years and we can now be found in Swim Schools around Australia and we are building our reputation in the USA. In 2020 when COVID 19 shut down public pools, I decided this was the perfect time to concentrate my efforts on going sustainable and also expanding into swimwear. AquaDash was the result. In short, AquaDash is dedicated to bringing affordable, sustainable quality that is both practical yet comfortable to the pool. Takes days to dry after washing
Bought two parkas. Washed them the first time last week but they took three days to dry. They can’t be tumble dried. So I’m not sure how often I will use them in winter…

Hey Alice, so sorry to hear that – three days is way too long! Good news: parkas don't need a full wash after every swim. Simply hang them inside-out to dry between uses and you're set.
Whilst we do say on the website not to tumble dry, this is really to discourage straight-from-the-washing-machine-to-tumble-drying, BUT if one's still damp before your next swim, a quick 20 minutes in the dryer won't hurt it at all.
When you feel you want to wash your swim parkas, a warm, breezy day makes all the difference to dry time.
Our last little tip is that if the kids are swimming daily, you could take a small towel (even a face washer) in the pocket to remove excess water before putting on their parkas. This will speed up dry time between swims.
Hope that helps you get more wear out of them this winter!

Warm, dry and perfect after a swim
Great product and excellent service! I get out of the pool, put my parka on and walk to my car on freezing, windy winter nights and I don’t feel the cold at all. I also love that you can simply put it on and get into the car without having to sit there soaking wet in a towel. Highly recommend!

Received within 2 days of ordering. Process was quick and simple. I do wish I had have checked out the other styles though! I didn’t know they came in patterns and colours before ordering :(, I just knew I wanted one for hydrotherapy during winter. I haven’t used it as yet, but I’m sure it will do exactly what it’s meant to.

A must have for winter - AquaDash Swim Parka
My AquaDash adult swim parka is just awesome! It makes swimming in winter much more enjoyable. It is great that the company makes different lengths. My husband is over 6 foot and he got the long one and I am not much over 5 foot and got the short one. We both love them

A bit deceiving about the sizing
A bit deceiving about the sizing, as a size 10 is just a touch smaller than expected. My daughter is 7 and a size 10 just fits her arm length. She will definitely need a larger size soon. I am hoping to get one season of swim club. The material inside is not as porious and I expected either.

We know choosing the right size for growing children can sometimes be tricky. Our children's size chart includes both an approximate age guide and the actual swim parka measurements to provide the best indication of fit. We also include a sizing tip recommending the longest suitable length where possible to allow for growing room, as the sleeves can easily be rolled up if needed.
