So far I have been using And Begin for…
So far I have been using And Begin for tretinoin for about 4 months. My experience has been mostly good, but I have two issues - one is that it's not clear on the website that if you want a strength increase you need to contact the team each time in advance of your order being sent out. Once I realised this it has been working quite efficiently. My biggest complaint however, is the packaging. As some other reviewers have said, the packaging is much bigger than the serum needs. I don't feel that I'm being misled about the size of the product, but I am concerned about unnecessary environmental impact of all the packaging. I'd like to see it being supplied in a small glass jar, ideally with a reusable pump so that there is minimal waste.

I love the simplicity and effectiveness!
I have tried other competitors and my skin reacted bad.
This is so good. I didn't have any down time at all. My skin feels so soft and moisturized.
I am so happy about it. I just saw they launched new products so I tried to see if there are any reviews yet. Well, I guess I have to find out as I went for the 3 new products trial bottle.
So far, 2 pumps are enough for my face, so yeah, I think the bottle would last me for a month or so.

Better formula than competitors
I'm a few weeks into my and begin skin care journey. I wrote another review and wish to update my view. I previously used dermatica for my tretinoin prescription, used it for years. I didn't think it was possible to see a difference, but and begin's formula is better, at least for me. My skin tolerates the formula better. This matters when using tretinoin. I had some minor criticism around their admin in early days but they responded and resolved as best they can. The main point imo the formula is better. That matters

Signed up for the reduced ‘first time’…
Signed up for the reduced ‘first time’ trial at £4.99 - received the products fairly quickly, nicely (if excessively) packaged.
The cream itself seems nice and my skin definitely feels moisturised - probably didn’t use as much product as advised as have barely made a dent in it.
HOWEVER, not realising I’d signed up for an auto- renewal each month (stupid me!!), I noticed I’d been charged without receiving ANY notification that my order was about to renew, which I think is very cheeky! Given I now have a second lot of cream coming my way, this time costing £30, I’ve cancelled my subscription.

Huge packaging, not enough product.
It’s crazy to say this product will last 4 weeks. Also why such a HUGE container for less than 20mls!!!! It’s a good concept. But there are better options out there using the correct size packaging. Stop misleading people in thinking they are getting more.

Not 28 days worth of product
Product is nice but it doesn’t last 28 days as advertised. I use 3/4 pumps every evening and it’s run out after 21 days. Its not cost effective to renew every 3 weeks / to have to buy a second product as a back up for the week when And Begin has run out while I wait for the replenishment. If it lasted the 28 days I would have continued as a subscriber.

Lovely feeling cream
Super customer service, buying from a small company is so worth it!
I have been using the cream nightly for 8 weeks and look forward to putting it on. My skin feels nourished and I particularly like how the pump dispenses just the right amount to use.
I wake up with soft skin!

Since starting this two weeks ago

Using And Begin Skincare is amazing!
Using And Begin Skincare is an amazing experience. Applying it in the evening is a joy. My skin feels a lot better and lines are noticeably reducing. I truly recommend And Begin to everybody that’s interested in a better skin.

The bottle lasted just over two weeks (rather than the four stated on the website) and felt like a thin watery moisturiser. Saw absolutely no difference in my skin and don’t like subscription only products so won’t be buying more,

The product did little to improve my skin. It seems a little thin and watery? I’m not convinced that the ingredients are actually added? It seems to be a cheap alternative. I’m so glad I cancelled subscription as I’m reading the second and further bottles are 18mls?? I wouldn’t recommend this company

Definitely an improvement!
Can I just say that the reviews about receiving a smaller bottle in later orders are fine. I get it. However, my skin feels SO MUCH BETTER after just one week. It feels so moist and smooth to touch!
Improved customer support - looking forward to trying again
I recently tried And Begin’s skincare products and was initially impressed with the formulation and how my skin felt. However, my experience with their customer support has been disappointing.
I reached out multiple times to understand the specific benefits and differences between And Begin and my previous Skin+Me regimen, which I had used successfully for over three years. Unfortunately, I did not receive clear or satisfactory answers.
This lack of detailed product knowledge and support ultimately led me to cancel my subscription and continue with Skin+Me. It’s a shame because I enjoyed the product itself, but the inadequate customer support has been a letdown.
I hope And Begin can improve their customer service to be more knowledgeable and responsive in the future.

After posting my initial review, the And Begin team reached out to address my concerns. Maryam, one of their Dermatology Prescribers, provided a detailed explanation of how And Begin's formulations are designed to support skin tolerance and enhance efficacy with additional nourishing and hydrating ingredients such as Ceramides and Pro Vitamin B5. These ingredients complement the core prescription components and promote healthy, glowy skin.
I appreciate their response and the efforts to tailor a formulation that matches my current Skin+Me regimen. I am happy to give And Begin another go and look forward to seeing the results.

Watch out for the small print
The product appears to have made some difference to my skin. However, I, like some other reviewers did not realise it was a subscription service. When the second bottle arrived, it’s 18ml not 30 ml like the trial size and I also realised that some of the active ingredients were different so I’m not sure if this second bottle will be as effective.
I have contacted the company who have cancelled my subscription and are making a refund so credit to them for that but I was disappointed and felt I had been somewhat misled.

Good cream- disappointed with changes
I like this cream, I’m on my 3rd bottle. My most recent order came with 18mL as opposed to the 30mL bottle. The price has decreased by about 25% approximately to compensate for the difference in product amount. This still leaves the buyer at a price increase per mL which is not the agreed amount at the time of subscription. Secondly the new smaller bottle is much less sustainable resulting in 4 more bottles approx per customer per year ending up in landfill or recycling. These companies should be looking at how to reduce their environmental impact instead of increasing it for no good reason. The email stated that this change was due to customer feedback, not one customer that I am aware of was asked their opinion on this. I’m sure that if they asked most people if they’d like to be charged more money and more often for their subscription- most people would say no. Disappointing change and it will make me consider keeping my subscription.
