Highly Recommend for complex moves!

Our move involved a lot of technical equipment and a fair amount of musical instruments (I am a music producer), and I was worried about how it would all fit. The movers didn’t just transport our gear; they arranged everything perfectly, even helping me set up some of the equipment. Their patience and precision were impressive, and they didn’t charge extra for the extra care they gave. Impeccable service!

Nous avons déménagé sur le tard, en Novembre, pour attraper le deuxième semestre scolaire, ce qu'au final nous avons réussi. Le timing était clairement ce qui nous importait ici et tout a été bien fait et dans les temps.

Cannot stress enough, do not use Amoov!

I am currently in the process of moving (Paris to NY) with AMOOV group. It has been 8 months. This is my 5th country move. This is most stressful and worst move I have ever had, I am still awaiting my delivery of items.

- collection date moved last minute
- no labels placed on my boxes
- no updates on how consolidation was going and anticipated departure
- major customs delay (out of their control), in their control was not providing me updates on delays and anticipated timelines)
- shipment arrived finally in country 2 weeks ago and I can see in tracking the container was returned. I am now being told deconsolidation is ongoing and no delivery is planned yet.
-fees exceeded quote, service vastly under what was promised
- all my items have been muddled with others, they have taken more than a month to sort this out and still not resolved (poor labelling system)

My account managers have changed multiple times, regularly no one replies to me. I call Amoov and the dial rings out. Sent a customer complaint to resolve the issue no one replied.

I am not new to moving countries and can be pretty flexible but waiting the better part of year is extreme. Service plays a big role to ensure comfort when there are extended delays whether it is automatic tracking, an active account manager or a responsive central customer service. I feel Amoov needs to improve dramatically this area.

Amoov if you see this, please don’t reply to me asking to email you, you have my WhatsApp number and I would appreciate a phone call to work through it. Respectfully, I have emailed the email you have replied to other comments with my complaints before and there was no reply, I have also called your +33 number just before I wrote this review so I didn’t have to write it. So best you contact me directly. As a note I posted this in January and it’s now March this is not resolved.

I normally used Allied Pickford, I did for my 4 other moves. They were perfect.

Another add to this review on March 31st… months after I posted this. Nothing has been resolved. My items are sitting at a warehouse… the 3rd party won’t deliver until Amoov pay them, it’s been weeks they are waiting for payment. I have asked for Amoov to give me the contact details of the warehouse directly to me so I can pay them and get my things and nothing. This is ridiculous. Almost 9 months, I have been waiting.

Update finally received items in April. I did not receive my items in full, boxes missing. I also received 7 boxes of someone else’s stuff. I have been holding onto them for 5 months trying to work with Amoov to get them to return them to their rightful owner. They are useless. The poor person who has been waiting. If you are in the US and are missing 7 boxes, reach out to me, clothing, table items, linen.

NY - Paris. Smooth process with zero stress

I moved from New York to Paris for work. From the first call to the delivery, everything was handled with care. The packers were polite and efficient, and the team checked in regularly to update me. Service impeccable et réactif

C'était notre grand retour à Montréal après 5 ans en France. Nous avions également utilisé AMOOV à l'aller et ça c'était très bien passé. Un petit peu moins facile qu'à l'aller (6 semaines et demi au lieu des 5 semaines annoncées, on a du s'organiser). A part ça, le reste à été parfait (gestion de l'inspection à Montréal, emballage parfait d'une dizaine de sculptures. Une mention spéciale à Ingrid, qui est resté en contact tout au long pour s’assurer que tout allait bien. Je recommande fortement et plusieurs amis ont déjà utilisés.

Effizienter umzug von Dallas nach Zürich

Der Umzug von Dallas nach Zürich war viel stressfreier, als ich erwartet hatte. Das Team war pünktlich und sehr professionell. Besonders gefallen hat mir, wie sorgfältig sie meine zerbrechlichen Sachen verpackt haben. Der Transport lief ohne Probleme und alles kam unbeschädigt an. Sehr empfehlenswert.

First time, won't be the last!

Moving my family from San Diego to Seoul was a huge decision. The AMOOV team exceeded my expectations. They took care of all the paperwork, handled everything from start to finish, and even helped with the logistics of our car shipment. Everything arrived safely and on time. You should not work with them!
They try to convince you that they are professionals, but in reality, they are completely incompetent.
My belongings remained in the country of origin for over a month, with Amoov providing no updates or explanations. I was forced to pay for a private container to finally have my items shipped—something that was not promised at the start.

They claim you will have a personal Move Manager who will take care of everything, but this is far from true. During my experience, my personal Move Manager changed twice. Additionally, the salesperson who gave me the initial quotation resigned, as did the financial representative.

Once the shipment finally arrived at its destination and cleared customs, Amoov waited an entire week before sending me a bill required to unblock the delivery. When everything should have been ready for delivery, they informed me that I still owed approximately $10.

In the end, the entire process took six months to complete and ended up costing at least one-third more than originally planned. I had to send over 200 messages—via email, WhatsApp, and other platforms—just to make things work.

Scammed, harassed, and damaged items

This is genuinely sad that I have to write this review as the company is completely ignoring my emails to reimbursed me the items (antique table and desk) that have been damaged. I paid for an insurance and still they refused to respond and pay me back for a desk that can't be used anymore and an antique table that has been severely damaged.

So here is why I DO NOT RECOMMEND this company:

I paid everything in advance, the moving, insurance, etc at a value of 8000+ USD. I have been in talk with them to move my personal belongings from France to Canada since August 2023. By February 20, 2024, despite again paying in advance for everything, I did not 1) received the documentation to get reimbursed by my company despite asking constantly to receive said documents (proof of payment and for which services) since October 2023; and 2) nobody came to pick up my belongings in France. Nobody answered my emails or phone calls. I had to chase them constantly. They gave me half the information I needed each time when/if they responded to my communication. So as of February 20, 2024, with a big financial hole in my bank account and no personal belongings picked up, I felt completely scammed. That is when I wrote my first review about the company to tell people to absolutely not choose this moving company.

After this review, they suddenly messaged me and called me every single day. Even the CEO, or whatever his high position is, called and emailed me non stop to ask me to remove the review, being way more concerned about clients refusing to keep working with them and the money lost, than actually fixing my case. I told them I would remove the review when/if they pick up my stuff and I receive them. Suddenly, they were all available to help me... They picked up my items in March 2024. I received them in April 2024. I was planning on removing my review only once I receive my items, but the CEO and one of his employees kept harassing me by call and email every day!!! I removed the review as I thought and hoped I no longer had to deal with this madness. However after receiving my items, I noticed all the damages on my antique table, and my desk was no longer stable (the wood was damaged and they didn't remove the feet which ended up being damaged to a point I could no longer use the desk). The movers told me to reach out back to AMOOV as I paid for the insurance. I reached out to them over and over again, and I filled out the papers. Instead of telling me I didn't fill out the papers correctly, they just didn't want to pay anything for the desk. I reached out back OVER AND OVER AGAIN with new documents. To this day, December 27, 2024, I am still waiting for them to respond to my emails and pay for the damages. I am absolutely fed up with them. Zero professionalism! I am utterly shocked they are still in business. Who is paid to work and does not respond to any emails?? How is that even an option?!

Seamless move from Dublin to Auckland

Moving from Ireland to New Zealand felt overwhelming, but AMOOV was incredible. The packers in Dublin treated my piano like royalty. Upon arrival, the Auckland team set everything up in my new home, even aligning the furniture as per my layout. They also helped my 7-year-old unpack her toys, which made her day. I've never felt more cared for.

My goods are stuck and I don't know why.

Here my experience so far. I signed a contract in August to move from Singapore to France in October. The confirmation of the moving date came quite late, around a week before, quite stressful. Packing was done by a 3rd party local company. I signed for shipping by air to avoid all the extra charges and delays from the sea. The shipping was supposed to take 1 to 2 weeks. During those 2 weeks, I had no communication from Amoov, so I reached them myself by email and phone. When I got someone on the phone, they told me they had some delays with the quotation for the air shipping. I waited 2 more weeks without news from Amoov and reached them again by phone. They told me the air shipping is more expensive than expected and they will make a new quotation. All this was done by phone and no email was send to confirm the situation. I waited 2 more weeks and still no news. So again by phone, I heard the same information regarding the pending quotation. I contacted the local 3rd party mover in Singapore and they told me they where on hold and the quotation was sent to Amoov from the beginning before the packing. The packing started 1st October and is it now December, 8 weeks later. I didn't received news from Amoov, I paid a deposit, my stuff is stuck in Singapore and I don't know why, I can't do anything.
My only solution currently is to contact a local consumer defense association and send a letter of intent, which I did.
