AMAZON SHOULD RE-BRAND AS ABYSMAL
I just joined Amazon Prime, expecting a premium service for the subscription.
I ordered two items: an extendable stool and a Bosch H309 wiper blade for my car. They were meant to arrive the next day (5th June 2026) between 07:00 and 19:00. I waited all day. They never came.
At 18:00 I checked my Alexa device for an update. It said the items had been delivered at 17:31 and left in my garden. I don't have a garden. There was a delivery image, but not of my property.
I then spent three hours trying to make contact with Amazon Customer Service. After 4 hours, I got through to a human 'associate'. They said I'd have to wait until 01:00 am on Sunday, 7th June, to get an update and that the matter would be resolved.
I duly attempted to make contact on 7th June, but can't. Instead, I get the message:
"Hi, you're in the right place for customer service support.
Sorry about that. It looks like your package was delivered by Amazon Logistics on 2026 Jun 5.
We need to review your request further. Our review will be complete on 2026 Jun 12. Thanks for your patience."
Well, I've lost my patience!
I've paid a subscription fee for an enhanced service, but Amazon haven't delivered basic service. They no longer publish a phone number or email address to contact them. Instead, one has to communicate via an AI bot that is not up to the job.
I paid for next-day delivery. They delivered to the wrong address, and they don't know where. I've asked on my village forum if anyone has my package, but no response. Now, I have to wait a further five days (seven in total) before Amazon may even deign to respond.
Amazon supremo, Jeff Bezos, is sending rockets to Mars but can't deliver a parcel on Earth to the correct address.
