I’ve been struggling with whether to speak up, but I’ve decided that I should. I truly believe in this program and its mission. They present themselves as a place that can help you regain your health, and they do a very good job of creating hope and drawing you in.
However, at no point early on was pricing disclosed. I was told that the cost varies depending on individual needs, which I later found out was not true. They also emphasize that they work with people from all financial backgrounds and offer payment plans.
After going through the process and feeling hopeful that they could genuinely help me, the pricing was finally revealed: $8,000 for six months of support or $15,000 for a year. This was shocking and completely out of my financial reach.
When I asked about payment plans, I learned that their version of a payment plan involves taking out a loan through a third-party lender. What upset me most was that when I expressed that this was not financially possible for me right now, I was met with comments along the lines of, “You either make time for your health now, or you’ll be forced to later,” and “Cancer is expensive.” As if I don’t already understand that.
Afterward, I politely communicated that I unfortunately couldn’t make this work financially at this time, but that I would love to come back when I’m able. I received no response at all. I had expected at least a simple acknowledgment — something like, “We understand and wish you the best.”
To be given such an extreme quote, one that they clearly knew ahead of time but chose not to disclose, and then to be completely ignored when I couldn’t afford it, did not sit well with me. I believe in what they are trying to do, but this experience felt dismissive, insensitive, and inappropriate — especially toward someone who is hurting and actively seeking help and support.
