From the first contact and initial consultation until the last post procedure examination, Alex and his team displayed the highest level of professionalism, excellent service and a genuine interest interest in my comfort and wellbeing as patient. In my entire life I don't think I've ever felt in more capable hands in the context of any medical procedure (and as an ex-athlete I underwent quite a few of them). Furthermore, I'm extremely pleased with the honest advice that Alex gave me, in my particular case to conduct the procedure ultimately on one eye only instead of both as it was initially planned. As a result, the cost was reduced to half of the amount I had initially budgeted for the treatment, but what I found especially remarkable was the fact that Alex was the one advocating for treating one eye only, despite the fact that it would have been perfectly justifiable to do both eyes in my case. I really regard Alex very highly and to me he is one of the most impressive and capable medical professionals that I've ever met.

I had eye LASIK with Mr. Day in November 2022 and it has changed my life! I should have done it years ago. Now my eyes are perfect :-) I even drove on day 3 after the surgery. I'm usually nervous about medical operation and worried about pain. But the LASIK wasn't as scary as I thought and it's done in 20 mins without pain and only mild discomfort for the post op on day one. When I googled where is the best hospital/doctor to go to in England. Moorfields Private came up. Indeed they live up to their reputation and I would highly Mr Alex Day to any of my family and friends who want to have eye surgeries! The service is good too, professional, and friendly. The new practice on New Cavendish is modern, clean, and nice. It all worths it.

Moorfields eye hospital is a fantastic facility. Alex Day and his team were excellent and supportive. All information was supplied and this explained everything about the operation and my expectations. Procedure went very smoothly for both eyes and is a quick and painless. Would highly recommend.

All the staff were really lovely, I came in for a consultation and all my options were explained really well to me and felt at ease through the whole process. I was told that I was unable to have LASIK due to my cornea thickness but Lasek suited my eyes better. The staff were very accommodating around my schedule and gave a surgery date that suited me. The process and recovery pathway were easy to understand and minimised stress wherever possible. Treatment: transPRK mono/blended vision, to fix minus-six myopic-astigmatic. Three months on and pretty much 20/20; well chuffed. Moorfields deserves its world-class rep, and Mr Day is seriously excellent: genuine, warm, kind, informative. First-rate for listening, summarising, setting expectations, and making surgery day very easy. I felt totally safe and confident in his expertise during the whole process.

I have been a private patient of Mr Day's for 1½years after suffering a medical trauma to one eye. I was recommended Moorfields by a consultant at NHS AandE. I have had successful Lens Transfer Surgery recently, and am very pleased with both the outcome and the service provided by My Day and his team at Moorfields.
I found Mr Day extremely professional courteous and reassuring. I believe he has a reputation amongst the staff that we met, of being very conscientious and having an 'eye for detail' (pardon the pun). My particular requirement for lenses was not straightforward (I thought at one point that I wouldn't be suitable for surgery at all), however, Mr Day assured me that he would research the options, and his persistence paid off!

I had both my eyes operated on by Mr Alex Day. From my very first consultation he made me feel very much at ease. He makes sure you understand the process of the operation from the very beginning. He does not oversell the results and makes sure you are aware of possible downfalls so you can make an informed decision. His pleasant and cordial manner takes all the stress out of the procedure and three months on I could not be happier with the results. I love walking the streets and discovering little details on buildings that I could not see before and my double vision is a thing of the past. Deciding to have eye surgery is a scary thing to do. My decision to go a head was due to my Constant Mr Day, from the very first consultation to the last follow up appointment after my operation, Mr Day was professional at all times, I never felt rushed and he answered all my questions, he talked through the different lenses I could have and he made sure I knew how my vision would be post op. He was always very truthful.
I would advise anyone considering surgery to correct their eyesight to go and see Mr Day and to talk through your options.
The company is very open and transparent and if Mt Day thinks you won’t benefit from the procedures he offers, he will tell you.
I highly recommend Mr Day and his team, I have gone from wearing glasses for both reading and distant to now having perfect eyesight.

Generally excellent. No pain at all, and actually not worrying despite someone prodding around in one’s eyes (IOL replacements).It is a very quick procedure so all the build up and tests etc felt a bit quick/rushed but that is probably because my expectations were that it would take longer. Instant results which continue to improve … week 4 now. Not related to the procedure itself which all felt highly professional, but I thought the support around Mr Day was a bit informal for a private procedure. Report of the procedure did not refer to any laser work to adjust an astigmatism, but the oral meeting did? Wasn’t mentioned previously at any stage. Despite that, can’t fault the outcome and in particular for others considering this, there really is no pain or discomfort afterwards.

All of the staff and doctors were incredibly polite and helpful throughout the process.
It made the entire process easy and efficient.

Alex offered the best advice and options for my husband after the initial examination and explained everything very clearly so he could make the right choice of treatment for him. The surgery went really well was quick, easy and painless. Staff were all extremely friendly and helpful and the whole process was seamless. (He tells me the Chicken soup after was great too)
Aftercare when he got home was also very good they checked up on him and explained personal aftercare clearly. Aurelia Iarca was always friendly and there for any questions and made arrangements very easy for repeat appointments. Would highly recommend using Mr Day and his team we had complete confidence throughout the whole process. He hasn't worn his glasses since the first eye was done.
