• “Bad Service – Paying but Can’t Even Use Internet”

I’m very disappointed with AIS. I pay 426 THB monthly and even top up extra, but my internet has become extremely slow for no clear reason. It hasn’t even been a full month yet, but my balance is gone and the speed is terrible. I have to rely on my sister’s hotspot just to use basic apps. This is not acceptable for a paid service. Please fix this or explain clearly what is happening.”

L’année prochaine : concurrence

Les cartes sont désormais données dans une simple pochette en cellophane sans aucun renseignement ni indication d'usage. Et le site est très compliqué à pratiquer. THEY DON'T DESERVE 1 STAR! This is easily the worst mobile networks I’ve ever used. The signal is unstable, data randomly stops working, and speeds are painfully slow when it does connect.

Topping up is a gamble and a nightmare! 7/11 visit to politely ask them to assist! Can't pay online. When credit is added and you choose a package it then gets blocked! Leaving you with nothing. Customer service is completely useless: slow, dismissive, and incapable of fixing even basic problems. Waited 26 minutes for nothing.

The overwhelming number of negative reviews says it all. This provider is unreliable, poorly run, and not worth using. Never again!

Charged after cancelling and support has become terrible

I cancelled my Grok subscription through my mobile provider before the next billing cycle, but I was still charged anyway. The charge normally happens around the 28th, so I cancelled before that because I didn’t want the next payment to go through. Despite cancelling, the charge still happened.

Since I was charged, I expected to receive the service for the next month, but I didn’t even get the full month of access.

To make things even more confusing, I contacted Google and they told me they never received the payment because the transaction was declined. So now I’m trying to understand where the money actually went.

Customer support has also become extremely slow. In the past I used to recommend this provider to everyone because their support used to be fast and reliable. Now you request a callback and sometimes it takes hours or even days before someone contacts you.

When I contacted support again, I had to wait almost two hours just for the callback. They told me the staff member handling my case was the only person who could check it, so I waited again. After another long wait, the same staff member finally called and told me it was actually her day off, even though she was the one who scheduled the call with me for that day.

So I waited hours for a call that was arranged by someone who already knew she wouldn’t be working that day. After that, support simply told me she would call again the next day.

At this point I still don’t know where the money went or why I was charged after cancelling. Waiting days and going through multiple callbacks for a simple billing issue is extremely frustrating. The support experience has become very disappointing compared to how good it used to be.

AIS Fibre WiFi gone off 4 times in 3 weeks

Fibre WiFi gone off 4 times in 3 weeks. Technician turns up late or does not turn up. Does not answer phone. AIS customer service does not respond to emails. Complaints has a blocked email service! Now 3 days no WiFi, no TV and no security system/cameras. AIS in Thailand is not a company to be involved with.

Subject: Formal Complaint – Unjust Charge of 500 Baht

I am writing to file a serious complaint regarding an unjust charge of 500 baht from my account.

AIS claimed that I used a 500-baht package between March 25 and today. This is completely incorrect. I did not use any internet during that period — in fact, I had no internet access at all.

I spoke with a representative named Mia, who insisted that according to the system I used the package. However, on that same day my internet was not working. I even tried to top up another 500 baht. The payment showed as successful, yet I still had no internet access. Mia acknowledged that there was a system issue, but despite that, she only agreed to refund one payment and refused to refund the second 500 baht, claiming that I had used the package within 8 days.

Because of this issue, I had to top up an additional 200 baht just to call customer service. 40 baht were deducted for those calls, and initially they refused to refund that amount as well. Only after I insisted repeatedly did she finally agree.

I have been your customer for over a year and have never experienced such treatment. This issue was clearly caused by a problem on your side, yet I am the one paying for it.

If this matter is not resolved properly, I will leave AIS and make sure others are aware of this experience.

I expect a full refund and proper resolution immediately.

ดิฉันต้องการยื่นเรื่องร้องเรียนเกี่ยวกับการเรียกเก็บเงินจำนวน 500 บาทจากบัญชีของดิฉันโดยไม่ถูกต้อง

AIS แจ้งว่าดิฉันใช้แพ็กเกจอินเทอร์เน็ต 500 บาท ตั้งแต่วันที่ 25 มีนาคม จนถึงวันนี้ ซึ่งไม่เป็นความจริงเลย ดิฉันไม่ได้ใช้อินเทอร์เน็ตเลย และในความเป็นจริงอินเทอร์เน็ตของดิฉันใช้งานไม่ได้ในช่วงเวลานั้น

ดิฉันได้พูดคุยกับเจ้าหน้าที่ชื่อ คุณมีอา (Mia) ซึ่งยืนยันว่าตามระบบดิฉันได้ใช้แพ็กเกจไปแล้ว แต่ในวันนั้นอินเทอร์เน็ตของดิฉันไม่สามารถใช้งานได้ ดิฉันจึงเติมเงินเพิ่มอีก 500 บาท โดยระบบแสดงว่าการชำระเงินสำเร็จ แต่ก็ยังไม่สามารถใช้อินเทอร์เน็ตได้ คุณมีอายอมรับว่ามีปัญหาในระบบ แต่กลับยินดีคืนเงินให้เพียงหนึ่งรายการ และปฏิเสธที่จะคืนเงินอีก 500 บาท โดยอ้างว่าดิฉันใช้แพ็กเกจภายใน 8 วัน

Had good experience with AIS till they…

Had good experience with AIS till they merged with 3BB.
No more phone helpdesk with English speaking staff. Everything in Thai.
Questions in app are not answered.
After end of contract no message. Seems they gave me a different kind of contract.
Only way to talk about problem(s) is going to an AIS shop and waiting in a queue.
Sorry to notice a very BAD customer service.
Is there even a customer service? I wonder.
Looking for alternative internet .

I bought an AIS prepaid SIM that…

I bought an AIS prepaid SIM that included an unlimited 5 Mbps internet plan at activation.
The speed and stability were perfectly fine, and I was willing to continue paying to keep the same plan.

However, when the plan expired, there is no way to renew it:

it does not appear in the myAIS app,

it is not available via USSD menus (*777# only shows limited data packages),

adding credit does not allow renewal,

no remote option exists to keep the same plan.

The only solutions offered are:

downgrade to data packages with a few GB and unusable speeds after the quota,

or buy a new SIM, which means changing phone number again,

or wait in long queues at an AIS shop.

This is not a technical limitation — it is a commercial decision.
AIS sells attractive “unlimited” plans that cannot be renewed, even if the customer is ready to pay more, effectively pushing users to change SIMs and phone numbers repeatedly.

For customers who need stable internet for YouTube, streaming or work, this prepaid system is extremely frustrating and poorly designed.

I paid 700 bth for 15 days unlimited data, after 1 day I received this message "Your balance is insufficient to use the service." . Then I discovered they gave me 1 day unlimited instead of 15...
I called the support, nobody helped me.

Despite paying my monthly payment for…

Despite paying my monthly payment for my mobile, I have received no mobile service at all, but received msm messages saying I can buy this plan and that plan, when I ask the company representative, I do not get any meaningful answers at all, they hire uneducated idiots, despite I was outside the country from Nov 10 to Dec 10, I paid my monthly payment on time on Nov 23, without any delay, despite I do not benefits from AIS outsude the country, when I arrived to bangkok I have no service and told to buy a plan one day or 7 days, when I ask the staff what happen to my monthy payment on Nov 23rd, it should cover to Dec 23rd, I do not get answers at all. The government should investigate this business, and set new penalty rules for the telecom bisinesses

Mauvais sur toute la ligne, dans une autre ville de Thaïlande il est impossible de traiter un problème de wifi, ils vous demandent de retourner ou vous acheter votre forfait. Des incapables et des incompétents.

One word, greed!!!!

Awful network, so greedy and desperate for money. I put credit on my phone to then buy another package, whilst using the app, they are robbing my balance so I have to keep adding more credit. If you run out of credit, the network is so pathetic that is won't even allow free data to use their app so you can buy another package. Then unlike many other networks around the world that have a genuine product whereby you can purchase data, calls and texts for a set amount, these clowns charge extra for everything. Internet by MB speed, then there is an add on extra, calls are extra, outside of a certain time, those calls are charged differently, want to call another network, that is another package.

Useless

I bought an eSim from AIS. It never worked. I sent them 2 or 3 Emails to get some help. Nobody answered. I tried to contact them through X. No answer. I short, if you don't want to waste your money nor your time, don't buy an AIS eSim. It's not worth it.
J'ai acheté une eSim auprès de la société AIS. Elle n'a jamais fonctionné. J'ai bien essayé d'obtenir de l'aide via Email et X mais je n'ai obtenu aucune réponse. En bref, si vous ne voulez pas perdre votre temps ni votre argent, n'achetez pas d'estime chez AIS.

Finger weg App geht nie und dann Abzocke …

geht dauert nicht beschießen die app und jedes Mal dann in Thailand Probleme da man nicht verlängern kann weil die trecks App nie funktioniert und nicht lädt. besser ihr Nehmt anderen Anbieter. man kommt zurück nach Thailand dann sagen sie die Nummer geht nicht mehr . klar konnte nie aufladen in Österreich über die App . werde jetzt wechseln . es reicht mir.
