Received my headphones at the start of the year and they were great. However after using them for 7 months they just stopped working and would not charge at all. I have tried contacting customer service twice but I haven’t even received a reply which is pretty poor. These are not exactly cheap headphones and I would expect them to last longer than 7 months and to receive some decent customer service.

Great products, Aftershokz customer service is also excellent. Unfortunately my pair of Aeropex broke, I contacted the team and a replacement pair has been sent out, couldnt be happier!

Excellent customer service. My whole family has the Aftershockz, but my one became funny after 3 months in. They were helpful enough to replace it and that one has been lasting over a year since.

These are fantastic! I forget I have them on. I use them all day, every day and they charge quickly between use. Great for phone, tablet and laptop for music, movies and Skype calls. They allow you to hear music while also speaking to people at the same time. Good quality sound and if you want to hear only through the headset, simply wear hear plugs.

Customer service was very helpful when my headset, which I used for a while, broke down. They solved my problem quickly and effectively. Thanks. After than I bought 1 more for my wife.

Reviewed after using these for around 9 months
I love the ability to wear these and still being able to hear whilst running. Though not "waterproof" they seem pretty tough. Battery life seems good to me and pairing is quick and straightforward once initially set up.
A couple of things to bear in mind though (and why 4 stars):
The audio is not as good as an "in-ear" headphone (this may seem obvious but so you know).
The fit can take a bit of getting used to if you wear glasses and can make the top of your ear sore.
Overall though I think a safer way to listen to music whilst running on busy streets if this is important to you.

Bought some Aeropex Aftershokz. Headphones are ok - when they work. They beep randomly, turn themselves off. Struggle to connect to devices. Customer service said it’s to do with multipoint pairing. Sounds to me like this feature is dodgy at.

Customer service is terrible. Three questions, took about a week to get a response to each one.

For the price you pay, you should expect a better quality device and much better customer service. Will be getting a refund and not buying again.

Suggest to avoid.

I have been using the basic model Aftershokz for a few years already now. I like them because the do what the say in the tin and I find them much safer because you are still aware of your surroundings and noises because they’re not in your ears blocking out other sounds, important when out running, in the dark or on your own.

I’ve never had any issues with the basic headset I’ve been using for years so was really looking forward to seeing the difference in the Aftershokz Aeroplex wireless bone conduction headphones.

The quality is so much better. They are so much more lightweight and the flexibility near the ear piece makes them a much better fit!! The sound quality is great and much sharper than the basic headset I’m currently using.

As they are fully sweat and water resistant, being one of the sweaty runners in our running club 😂😂, this did not affect the quality of the headset or affect sound or fit!!

I also wanted to check the distance and whilst I usually have my device when running, I was able to leave my device downstairs and do housework listening to my headset around the whole house without losing connection-brilliant 👍☺️☺️.

The magnet charging facility is very user friendly. Easy to do especially for those who wear glasses.

They definitely are worth the money and I can also vouch for the company when after 18 months of owning my own headset, they started to play up. Aftershokz replaced them immediately with no issues and very promptly. I was so impressed with this service and with the Covid restrictions, they did not ask me to return the headset for repair or inspection.

Very impressed and would recommend to anyone!!

AfterShokz Aeropex.

I have been wearing Aftershokz for sometime, my wife bought me a pair for Christmas what must have been five years ago. The main reason I like them is ...( I'll get to that later)...

We'll start with "comfort of fit" whilst running, to tell the truth once I have put them on I don't even notice them. They fit over the ear with a loop around the back of you head. For those who like to wear shades I've had  no issues, I tend to put my glasses on first the the AfterShokz hold them in place. These new Aeropex versions on me seem to sit slightly deeper on the jaw bone than previous versions, which somehow does make them a better fit.

Style - These are the "Aeropex" and the pair I have to trial are Black but come four colours including grey, blue and red. Because of the style they are in obtrusive, often not even noticeable, unlike some of massive in ear headphones on the market.

Waterproof  - while I have had my previous models I have ran in every weather condition you can imagine, including some really heavy rain, I have never had a water issue. These Aeropex are actually listed as Waterproof (but not swimming).

Sound - arguably the second most important reason for buying AfterShokz. But there is nothing to worry about here, bone conducted sound quality is excellent when out and about running (or partaking in any other sport). Then when in a totally safe environment the sound can be enhanced by using the supplied in ear plugs, great for lounging on the beach or by the pool. Personally I haven't worn them for longer than I would normally run, which is an hour on most days possibly twice that occasionally on the weekends, I've never had an issue with battery life.

Connectivity - I connect my AfterShokz to my watch it's a simple Bluetooth pairing, it plays my playing throughout my run.
Phone connectivity - I have never used my AfterShokz with my phone but I imagine it's equally as simple.

Buttons - are intuitive to me, click and hold to turn on, double click on the first button moves you on to the next track. Click and hold to turn off.

The Main Reason = SAFETY this is the absolutely the reason I love my AfterShokz, the main reason for buying AfterShokz. Because they are boneconductive headphones your ears are still free to hear what is going on around you,. Depending on your location it could be street traffic, in race conditions it could be marshals or emergency vehicles. These are the only headphones approved UKAthletics for use in all road races under the UK Athletics Rules of Competition.
I can't list the amount of times I have been out running in the countryside and approached a runner who had no idea I was behind them, because they were wearing traditional headphones,  noise cancelling headphones make you so vulnerable, it's just so frightening.

Visually impaired - how I use mine, amazingly I "Don't" always use my AfterShokz to listen to music!  As a glasses wearer I struggle during bad weather to see my watch, so I switched to contact lenses, just for running. However then I found I still couldn't see my watch easily while running. The watch automatically transmits my pace to my AfterShokz, I have set it for every minute, so I now know how I'm doing without having to look at my wrist, it's one less thing to worry about while I'm pushing out the miles.

What's in the box
As is expected with a quality product even the box is well thought out, as well as solid so the items wouldn't get damaged in transit.
Besides the headphones themselves which are neatly sat in place.There is a carrying pouch which has a nifty magnetic fastening I deal for post race, when all your wet sweaty kit gets thrown into your sports bag, it will keep them separate and dry.
Obviously the USB charger cable.
The in ear plugs always brightly coloured - if you haven't tried these in a safe environment, give them a go, the sound quality of your AfterShokz is phenomenal with these in.
Probably the most important thing in the box is the warranty card, which also has the serial number on it, should anything ever go wrong with your AfterShokz this is the card you need.(Keep it safe).

1 year old headset brought direct from them.

Left speaker had broke.

I lost invoice serial numbers etc.

Emailed them and received a replace set in under a week.

Product Review of Aeropex Bone Conduction Running Headphones.
Recently ran a marathon which stipulated that only bone conduction headphones were allowed to be worn. Invested £150 in the top of the range Aftershokz model (Aeropex Cosmic Black). Very happy ! Connection with smartphone (Apple) was flawless and the sound quality was excellent. Have now been using them for all training runs and even cycling. The major benefit is that you can still hear everything around you but still listen to music. Excellent from a safety aspect.

Beware the warranty is a worthless bit of card in the box if you use the wrong shop.

I bought my Titanium headband 6 months ago, it came with A 2 year warranty. It's been a fantastic head set the audio, battery life and fit have been first rate. However the glue started to deteriorate and now one side is missing bits. Meaning the build quality wasn't great or was at fault because it hasn't lasted 6 months of normal usage.

So Ive completed the warranty claim via the website as advised on the warranty card in the box. Customer service do respond quickly.

They aren't honouring the warranty because I bought them from a non approved reseller. How the warranty isn't a contract between myself and the manufacture I'm not sure? How I'm supposed to know that you have to use their retailers ahead of time?

Questionable build quality and a worthless warranty I couldn't know was worthless until I needed it makes for a poor score; I wouldn't trust them enough to recommend them what so ever.

Love my Aftershokz Aeropex. But they stopped working and I asked for a replacement, I went onto their website, proved the issue was real via a short video and they decided to accept that I was in fact telling the truth that they could in fact just stop working. I would have preferred them to just allow me to return the non-working set to be honest.

Being hung up on on the live chat was annoying during the process, so the action of requesting a replacement took longer than it should have done. My set are around 5 months old with average use. They agreed to replace via Amazon Prime with a deferred return as I was about to go on holiday. All agreed in their ticketing system. This was clearly forgotten about.

On my return my replacement was not sent, had to chase, another half hour of chatting on their live chat to go over the same ground. The operator told a lie directly to me, stating it wasn't in stock on Amazon and they couldn't do replacements via the platform at the moment... the thing is, I am also a Amazon Seller Central merchant, and sell on Prime, so I knew this was a lie. That was challenged to the apologies from the call handler. Not the service I expect.

I should not have had to waste time chasing, and without the chaser reminder, no replacement would have ever been sent. No apologies, not great customer service, I was expecting better. I am really disappointed.

I’ve had 2 pairs now under warranty.

They only last around 1 hour 40. 2 hours max.

A short walk or an hour in the gym but the stated “upto 6 hours” is a joke. They can’t even last 1/3 of that time.

I bought an OpenComm wireless bone conducting headset with the boom to work with my clients via Zoom training sessions. I was very disappointed with the product and the service. Learner feedback was that the sound was intermittent and poor quality compared to the in-built microphone on my IMac. As I paid £149.95 for a product that clearly advertises it's manufactured for situations where clear diction via the microphone is required (Call Centres and Training) to hear this feedback was very upsetting. The slow, and quite frankly, disinterested after sales service to return the product was as disappointing as the quality of the product. It took me numerous assertive emails to get this sorted out and get my money back. Will not be buying from them ever again and will not be recommending them. Clearly a lot of expense has been spent on the packaging/visual appearance and not enough on the microphone or customer service! A case of "the shock with Aftershokz is the after sales".

I purchased a set of aeropex bone conduction headphones 18 months ago and thought they were great, I used them running and cycling as I could still hear everything around me, as well as the podcasts I was listening to.

Somehow, something came loose in one of the conductor parts, so I contacted Aftershokz through their website to query the warranty, and a new set of headphones was issued almost immediately.

Genuinely excellent service.

bought a set of Aftershokz AS700 swim headphones and music player.. Best headphones I have ever had in the pool, and use in open water. Quality is fantastic, comfort fantastic, and they are easy to wear. Then I accidentally snapped one of the ear pieces, and they replaced no charge, no quibble on warranty. Absolutely first class service.. rare these days, and I am writing this as they are an amazing product and company...

What a great company to deal with. I had a fault with a set of Aeropex headphones. The customer service I received from Roxie @ Aftershokz was second to none considering the circumstances. Roxie was efficient and resolved the issue in a timely manner. I would not hesitate to purchase an Aftershokz product in the future.

I was given a pair of Aeropex wireless headphones for Christmas and they are the best headphones I've ever had for running. I can hear the traffic and they don't fall off!
