Afterglow Heating is a small family run gas heating and plumbing business situated in Hedge End Southampton. We are gas safe registered installers and we undertake all gas work from boiler repairs / breakdowns to servicing and installations, to gas fire and much more. We also deal with the plumbing side from dripping taps to installing showers. We are also a Vaillant Mastertech installer which means we can offer up to 10 year guarantees on new Vaillant boiler installations!

We have used ‘Afterglow’ on a couple of a occasions now and I wouldn’t use any one else. Always friendly, polite and informative without trying to baffle me with information! Has repaired rather than charge for unnecessary replacements and is super courteous. Thanks Steve, see you again next year!

Excellent gas engineers
Have used these guys for Boiler Repair, landlord safety checks and servicing and found them to be excellent.
Great communication, reliable, on-time and helpful friendly service.
Very reasonable pricing and have always stuck to the price quoted.

Recommended by family…
Steve was recommended by family members. We needed a new boiler for heating and water, and opted for a combi boiler. The date was set, Steve arrived on time and just got on with the job. Reliable, experienced, hard working, reasonable price, what more can you ask?

A good choice of Gas Engineer.
Vaillant boiler packed up after twenty years working. Online search for gas engineer found Steve Hunt of Afterglow Heating Ltd. Previously a Brit Gas apprentice who specialized in Vaillant gas boilers. Installed new Vaillant gas boiler a year ago, without any problems and serviced for free last week.

We have used Afterglow for the last few years. The great thing with them is Steve really knows his stuff. He never tries to baffle you with technicalities just clear concise details of what was wrong and what he has done to rectify the problem. He is always extremally friendly and courteous. If you want a heating engineer I would strongly reccomend Afterglow
