I was very warmly welcomed and made feel very at easy, was treated with great dignity.
everything was explain very clear.
the place is meticulously clean.
I felt they care about me, they called few time to ensure all is in good order and the garment fit me well and do the job.
I been suffering from swollen leg for few years specially during the flights, recently I suffered from a sever cellulitis and for three month I could not ware any shoes since my leg was extremely swollen.
thanks for Accelerate (which in beginning I didn't want to hear about a compress socks will do the job!), after 3 days of wearing I started wearing my shoes and now after just 2 month my leg is back to normal.
My private doctor only suggestion was to take medication to treat the water condition which I was not in favour since it interferes with the organs and kidneys.
it was only by chance that i went to my GP and was seen by the paramedic for a chest infection, which he saw my legs and referred me to Accelerate, pity that my private doctor could not refer me few month earlier!
i have now experience other people who are suffering in silent , we should encourage the GPs to refer more people and get help natural rathe then to be stuffed with medication which does or doesn't help!

due to my height and weight I have compressed socks with a zip which is great and easy to wear,
I had an interesting experience were I was stop in security at London Heathrow airport since it was ringing through security and they did not have any information and never seen such socks!
now I can not do without!
I hope during the summer moths I will also be comfortable.

I had the pleasure and good fortune of seeking the advice and guidance from the amazing Caitriona. When I spoke to her I was desperate and completely at a loss. My brother was struggling with severely infected leg ulcers which were incredibly painful and we were getting nowhere with the GP. Caitriona went through everything with me and gave me excellent advice which really helped my brother. Thanks to her advice my brother is on antibiotics and getting the support he is entitled to and needs. Caitriona Did this out of the kindness of her heart. She went above and beyond to help me. I was blown away by how caring and empathetic Caitriona was to my predicament, she even went so far as to check in on me via a telephone call on numerous occasion s, something she didn’t have to do but left me feeling so grateful and supported. I cannot put into words how grateful I am but I would recommend the services of Caitriona and her colleagues to anyone. Thank you.

My mum received treatment for a leg ulcer from Nico, Kay, Kate and Gabriella. Each one of them was kind and caring. They reviewed mum's notes on each visit and pursued any outstanding referrals. They provided transport to collect and drop mum back which meant I didn't have to take time off and her journey was safe and comfortable. Mum had a language barrier and the nurses used to call me and email to update me on each visit. My mum praised each of them for the care they took in nursing her wound and the referrals for further tests to help her recovery and future health. I attended 3 appointments and highly recommend the care and support they offer it's what the NHS used to be like. They listened and explained every step of the treatment and recovery. I cannot express in words how much me and mum appreciate you all, and everything you did. Thank you to you all for your kindness.

My appointment was with Fran, Podiatrist. Easy journey from Charing Cross Station on the No 26 bus, stops 3 minute walk from the Hospice. Having checked in wirh the friendly, welcoming and polite reception team, I was directed to the waiting area. Fran was punctual and met me in the waiting area. This was my first meeting with Fran on a one-to-one basis. I was very impressed with her knowledge, professionalism and the number of procedures she went through. Fran explained very clearly everything she was doing, why she was doing it and the results. I now have very useful information on what footwear will be suitable for me moving forward.

Everybody here has been brilliant, very professional and very welcoming . Everybody from reception to phonecalls and clinicians made me feel at ease. Dressed my legs perfectly with no pain.
Anna is very happy and funny and experienced. Rhodri is a professional and bandaged my legs brilliantly . Sue and kay are also professional and helped answer my questions. Julie saved my life once upon a time and I'm forever grateful .

I was attending an appointment to be assessed for lipoedema. Anna, the nurse specialist, was gentle, kind, efficient, patient. The diagnosis process was carried out carefully with all the history, measurements and medical examination taken.

This is what every appointment should feel like - that you are being listened to and that all of your questions are being answered.

The whole team are fab at Accelerate, particularly Fran and Wendy. So informative and share their extensive knowledge in a helpful way. Always made to feel very comfortable. Feel grateful to have been referred here and to be under their care.

Very welcoming and friendly, they explained the condition clearly what was happening at the appointment and what to expect next, the only negative I found was one of the assistance’s spoke very softly and with my dad being deaf he couldn’t hear her, that said it was a pleasant and positive visit.

Amazing appointment with Beccy, who is so knowledgeable about everything to do with Lymphoedema. Very in depth consultation about my condition and circumstances, and loads of information on different types of garments I could try, instead of the standard tights that I have been wearing for the last 19 years! Really looking forward to receiving the new garments and trying them out. Beccy listened to me, offered advice, was very professional and knowledgeable.

I was discharged lymphoedema clinic during COVID period. Ever since compression sleeve
getting tight and I could see the swelling getting bad. I was referred to the Accelerate by my GP.
She is introduced day time and night time garments and went through all of the compression garments with me.
She is very patient and lots of useful advice and excise video for me to do.

I recently took my mum to Acceleratecic for her first lymphoedema assessment, and I cannot recommend them enough. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by the caring and compassionate staff who made us feel genuinely valued and at ease. Nurse Su was absolutely wonderful—she was incredibly patient, kind, and attentive throughout the entire process.
What truly stood out was how informative and thorough she was, taking the time to explain everything in a clear and compassionate manner. She answered all our questions with patience and provided us with a wealth of useful information that has given us a much better understanding of managing my mum’s condition.
The level of care and professionalism at Acceleratecic exceeded our expectations. It’s obvious that their team truly cares about their patients’ well-being. Took Mum down for her lymphoedema appt this morning. First time at the clinic and very pleased with the whole experience. The compassion and care with which I saw Mum and others dealt with by staff restored my faith in public service. Thank you Sue (nurse) and the rest of the team. 😊

Dreadful treatment shouted at no help not listened too. I asked for alternative treaments thats when I was shouted at. I receieved a follow up call and again was greeted by blinked vision

I’ve been going to the Accelerate clinic since I first developed lymphoedema following cancer treatment. All of the staff are lovely and so knowledgeable. They have supported me in being proactive with managing my condition and trying new things, working hard over time to get me the correct garments, and teaching me manual lymphatic drainage techniques. I’m so grateful to have access to the amazing practitioners in the clinic and would recommend them to anyone who wants to take control of their lymphoedema.

I saw Rhodri on Sunday and he was amazing. My 90 minute appointment was spent with him listening to me and being so understanding. It was great to speak to someone who knew all about lipeodema. I was emotional at one point and he was so understanding. I would highly recommend booking a private appointment as it only took 10 days front my first enquiry to being seen.

Very caring professional people who do their utmost to improve my legs. They try different methods, dressing's, creams etc. to improve the situation. A very welcoming environment, all members of staff are very pleasant and friendly.

I see a lot of nurses being housebound but everyone of them told me when I said I'm going to Accelerate how fantastic they are, so my expectations were high. I saw 2 nurses who couldn't have been nicer who were both superb very knowledgeable whose treatment was faultless. I left there with enthusiasm a future plan and I would recommend anyone with lymphedema not to hesitate .
