Hello I am also another person that has been scammed was mis sold this electrician course for 3 years was told that was the length of my payment but I would be able to have as much time as possible to complete the course they have now cut off my services and the training and online classroom was terrible for learning everything was overpriced for the services I recieved ... the company was 24/7 training uk and the loan company was Scott consumer finance..... what I noticed from the loan companies everyone has put up is that they are all registered at the same address ... Caledonian and other companies are all based and registered at Pacific House Fletcher Way Parkhouse Carlisle CA3 0LJ..... all of these are scam companies anyone else have a loan company registered here don't pay the money as ur literally stuck trying to find a solicitor to take my case as this is ridiculous that so many people have been scammed and checking on their website on gov they have made over 7.000.000 by people debts since 2020 I joined in 2021.... so stressed about not getting my new chance at a career to help my life now wasted 3 years and 5000 for absolutely nothing.please enquire on action fraud I'll be raising a dispute with this code as other people have also please do the same .... I have been on the Electrical Installer course for around 2 and a half years now. I have been getting through the course work and exams/practicals fairly well without needing much customer support.
Today I wanted to find out about certificates and emailed customer services. Their emails were not clear and so I called in to chat to someone. What a big mistake!!! Antony and another lady who's name I didn't get were both extremely rude, raising their voices at me and talking over me to get their point across. I am a paying customer and being shouted at is unacceptable.
How do they get away with this!!!

Glad I got out of this scam before the cooling off period was up! Can't learn a trade reading a book, especially one with spelling errors etc. Remember calling one of the 'tutors' and they seemed like they couldn't careless about anything.

Just hope more people read these reviews before falling into their trap and being lumbered with huge debt with no reward.

just been told that i am over time limit, never been told that i had time limit, if i knew i would speed up. additionally weekly so called tutors, never raised concern about my time being limited. payment taken and course isnt there anymore.

Awful company with poor customer service. Being asked to pay more to complete the course is usual practice as they ensure you can not finish the course in 3 years .
I waited 8 months for my final exam ringing weekly and then was told I had gone over the time limit .
I would never use 247 training again and certainly would not recommend.

I'm going to give a non-biased review. As someone who has just completed level 2 in electrical installation.

So, firstly, when you apply for this course, you will be contacted by a salesman. He will use every sales tactic in the book to get you on the course and get you on these monthly payments, they'll sugarcoat and use EVERY sales tactic in the book to get you on this course. Funnily enough, I started working in sales shortly after enrolling on the course, on my salestraining, it occurred to me how badly I'd been manipulated by the salesman. Now bare in mind that I was 20 years old when I enrolled on this course. The salesman will tell you everything you want to hear "tutors on call 24/7" but DO NOT listen to a word they're saying. It is ONLY whats on the contract that matters. The contracts says 36months, the salesman WILL exaggerate this time frame.

This course is not for beginners. It is for intermediates with some experience on the trade. The majority of people I met on this course already had site experience I'll say 1/4th of the people there already work in the electrical trade. You will not get much help on the practicals and that is NOT due to lazy instructors, its that there's a short time frame and 1 instructor to about 8 people. So if you are NOT good with your hands or had some experience do a college course instead.

As for the studying. There are NO tutors to help you AT ALL. Let alone ones that you can call 24/7. the call will go through but they will not explain ANYTHING to you, they'll just say use your book. So you are on your own. You can send a webmail, you'll get a helpful response but I am willing to bet that whoever operates the webmail just uses chat GPT to answer the questions. The Tutor Marked Assessments are multiple choice questions and takes 3-4 days to mark one. This is another way they stall your progress. If they were marked instantly which they should be as it's multiple choice not written, then you'd progress through the course quicker. But NOPE, less money for them. So they stall you. I know the "Tutor Marked Assessments" are marked by a computer because the results are released at 12:00am everytime, and the responses underneath every question is so robotic. Just another way they stall and scam you out of money. IF you choose to go on this course. When you complete enough of these TMAs you'll be booked in for your exam. It takes 1 month to book you in. which is fair enough because there's only so many instructors, but the point is that it takes WAY LONGER than it should. I am academic, but any average person should be done with level 2 in 6 months... all the questions in level 2 are multiple choice it isn't that hard. The practical was more challenging for me.

ALL in ALL, 247training use dirty tactics, and they will siphon as much money as possible out of you. But you can get your level 2 and level 3 through them if you progress quick enough and revise. But the salesmen that work for this company have tricked many 20 year olds out of 7k. I was way more impressionable than I am now especially after working in sales myself. But here we are.

And another thing, I heard from an electrician that it gets EVEN WORSE after you complete level 2 and level 3 they stall you even more when it comes to your AM2S and EV Charger course...

So I'd recommend a college course or another remote course that IS NOT 247Training nor NTC or any of these other agencies which offer a similar thing.

Just to add, If you do not drive, live near or have accessible transport to the exam centre. Then Id recommend another means of gaining your qualifications...

The staff that work on the helpline where you enquire about your course and etc are quite rude.

IF YOUR 36 MONTHS ARE NOT UP. THEN GET THROUGH THOSE TMA's as QUICK AS YOU CAN AND ATLEAST GET YOUR LEVEL 2.

Joined an electrical installation course in July 2021. Went into centres and smashed my theory exams. Didn’t receive any practical support. The company insists it churns out qualified tradesmen from complete beginner level whilst offering distance learning and flexibility. You’re told in an interview that the company has expert tutors that will help you every step of the way & you will be shown everything step by step to ensure that you’re given a reasonable chance gain a qualification. LIES. You won’t receive adequate practical training WHICH IS IMPORTANT SINCE YOU ARE LEARNING A MANUAL LABOUR BASED SKILL. They show you how to complete a task on video then once in person, simply not good enough for £7800. The distance learning 247training provides is poor at best. They offer flexibility to keep you on the course for as long as possible all students I’ve spoken to feel that services promised were not delivered £7800 for this course is robbery. This course is not made for novices it is made for people who have parallel experience in other trades or have general site experience.

Everyone make noise about this company to citizens advice and if you have the ability to reach out to legal representatives please do. We need to gear towards making a collective complaint the more people who complain the better.

Absolute sham. Should of been smarter when it was advertised on Facebook during covid and i had just lost my job and a salesman basically spent an hour pitching it to me. I just wish I cancelled during the 14 day cooling off period as I have now ruined 10 years of good credit in debt and a debt management plan to try pay off a scam of a course I'm no longer bothering with. Been told by multiple plumbers the "qualifications" are not city and guild despite their claims and that they are basically worthless. You get no help whatsoever with the course and the entire teaching is done through short youtube videos that aren't even made by the same company but sourced from EER. After watching these you then have to complete practical exams you are in no way ready or trained for due to the course being again youtube videos that you can find for free. Please don't make my mistake. They just want to get you into a loan agreement with caledonian consumer finance who have been nothing but shady and difficult and have a extremely shady past. Honestly this should be illegal and relief should be made for people who got stuck in this sham.

I have been on the course for 3 years now.
I remember on my 1st practical course anxious whether the studies were legitimate.
And it is safe to say the course has delivered.
The work books are great the extras you receive to study e.g. the latest editions of electrical guides etc is great and the course materials online are also very good in my opinion. The only slight I would have against the company is the side of keeping you pushed to progress. They allow you to go at your own pace and if you procrastinate you will fall short.

Another gripe I have is it takes a week to mark a test which if done quicker you could pass faster but that is just personal.

Stay ahead and get the work done. It will be worth it.

Overall I good course for me personally.
It has changed my life for the better. And the confidence will really come when the qualifications do. Keep going!

Complete scam, Caledonian Consumer Finance, Scott Finance, Ménage Pantano, they’re all in on it, they draw you in with the work at your own pace and we will help you, once you’ve signed the finance agreement they completely ignore you.
Old material to work through with so many grammar and spelling mistakes. No help from so called tutors and when you phone up the main number to speak to somebody each and every one of them are plain rude and just fob you off.

Missold this loan in 2022 and even with clear cut evidence of their broker, Junaid Qureshi the absolute fat wallop who sits in his room all day scamming people, telling me “Don’t worry about your wage as long as it’s over £1000 i can get the loan approved for you” even after telling him this is not my monthly wage i have done some overtime this month. He doesn’t accept responsibility even after being caught out, both companies 247 and Caledonian both working together to get people signed up to courses with no qualifications at the end of it, They are not city and guilds accredited the way the make it out, they work under a company called ERR but it’s all a big bogus scam to rob people , £7800 finance agreement £180 a month with nothing to show for it, no responsibly being taken by anybody no refund from anybody even after clear cut evidence, only “goodwill gestures” to cancel the course and finance agreement but won’t refund people’s hard earned money.

Whatever you do don’t sign up to these courses, go to a real college or university to better your life rather than listening to these rats trying to take your money it’s all fake and lies.

Read all the reviews it’s happened to many many people, do your research on these people they have made millions robbing peoples money and tie you into a finance agreement, if you miss one payment they will call you for the whole day to make the payment

Honestly the worst decision of my life. DO NOT DO ANY COURSE with these people.
The workbooks are appalling, the online content is even worse.

I fooled myself into thinking maybe its not as bad as it looks and did half the course content to try and justify all the money I was losing but I eventually came back to reality after working on site with electricians and compelteing more of the TMAs, that this isn't going to help me be an electrician.

I believe the finance company and the course provider are the same entity to some degree, and the entire function is to mis-sell loans as courses.

Do your own research.

Absolute scammers I signed up with them to train to be an electrician and have paid just over £2000, I stopped paying when I realised something was not right, I’ve tried contacting them about not being able to gain access to my account and have had no response. Today I have contacted my bank and reported every payment I have made to them and this is currently being investigated hopefully I will get some sort of justice because this is not on. I tried to gain a skill to better my life and have just been ripped off I’m mentally drained because off this scam and would advise everybody to not get involved with these lot… hopefully I get my money refunded through the bank but I would advise everyone who has been a victim to these lot to raise a dispute through the bank.

I signed up for the NVQ level 2 and 3 in plumbing.
This course is a three year course and cost me £7800.00. I was supposed to be fully qualified after completing this course. This provider claims to be one of the only colleges in the uk who can offer the onsite experience you will need to get signed off in order to fully qualify and build a portfolio of evidence. Without this you cannot gain the NVQ's you have paid for or apply for approved contractor bpec water licence or get a CSCS card (jib) this college is a con and a scam. I can prove what this college has sold me was a lie as I still have all the original paperwork I was given when I was miss sold this course. I am so angry about what this company has done and more so knowing that this company is protected by law. How can you sell someone NVQ's and give a level 2 diploma in plumbing studies it's criminal.

Joined 247 training uk in 2021, enrolled on the plumbing course, I recently tried to log in and was told my course has ended after 36 months, even thought during the zoom meeting I had I was told you do the course in your own time “normally” the course takes 36 months but you can take as long as you need, which is the reason I enrolled due to working full time with big hours, since ringing them I’ve been told that ERR will give me an extra 12 months to complete the course for £400 even thought the initial course has cost over £8000…
The customer Service agent are so rude and disrespectful. This is really a scam we need to get our lawyers involve this is a rip-off.

Stay well Clear rip-off company worst mistake I’ve ever made

I joined up for the Electrical course in 2021/2022, signing up and sales all seemed very professional, these guys are well set up. Like many others I was promised all sorts of things; high quality online training, on site practicals, City and Guilds mentioned several times etc. I was told I should fly through the course given my knowledge and background etc. It all sounded too good to be true and... it is!!! I was very vulnerable at the time of deciding to join this course (Divorce and post Covid Business Changes) and making some big lifestyle and career changes. I would normally consider myself to be very vigilant and aware of scams, however this one caught me off guard! I realised I was scammed about 8 months into the course after talking to a professional electrician, so I did what I should have done originally and signed up for a real course at my local college and have completed the Level 2 Electrical Installation in 7 months (2 evenings a week) with a distinction and 92% pass in all practical work.

I learned more in 3 weeks on my local course than in 8 months attempting the 24/7 online course, which I now realise is very poor and obviously a scam.

I am still being billed £180 a month and will be until December 2025. I am looking into ways to get my £8000 back, if anyone finds out, please let me know.

Reported them to Trading Standards. The people behind it do not care, these are scammers with a good convincing set up. This type of operation should be banned.

Absolutely disgraceful company!!! Rubbish course, they said that my son could leave after the first level but charged him £8,000! he has now left to live in Australia and we have spent since January trying to prove it. Going round and round, with them saying that they haven't received anything. So just received a letter asking for different things. So rang the number and got an obnoxious arrogant woman on the phone who refused to speak to me, pass me on to someone else or tell me her name. She patronised and insulted me, i have never had such bad customer service! my son has stopped paying the money and now is getting threatening letters. Has anyone got court letters or baliffs?

Absolute scam started in July 2021 had a meeting with one of the introductions staff who explained how much the course would cost and how the program would run, part way through the course I had to stop for a couple of months due to finishing my apprenticeship, when I came back to do it, they emailed me saying I only had 24 months to complete the course. Even know i was told there was no end date and they said there was nothing they could do. From digging into this now it turns out they were never apart of city and guilds and have from what others have said on here have been told it was student led whatever that means

The course itself was very poor, each book was very generic and almost felt like it had just been copied and pasted, each time I got a question wrong from the online exam, the teacher would say practically email the same response and tell me try again almost like it was automated, and whenever I called for help they were useless.

They reason you are probably asking how did so many people fall victim was because: 1)everything seemed legit they said they were recognised from C&G and they were registered with a college in Watford, even down to the finance company looked legit and I even did background checks on them, there was nothing to suspect them. 2) notice how everyone’s 1 star is from 2021 to 2022 same year I started, that’s because there were no ones star review or warnings about scam almost like they started overnight when they said they were around for years.
