Hired a plumber for work on family home along with other costly renovations. We had just installed brand new flooring and the plumber ruined the brand new floors, causing damage that is much too expensive for us to fix! They are refusing to take responsibility for their carelessness and their customer service is beyond pathetic. Take responsibility for the damage you have caused, this is completely ridiculous.

DO NOT USE

If poor customer service were an Olympic sport, this company would win gold without trying.

Basic communication and professionalism continued to escape them. It was impressive how consistently unhelpful the girl I spoke to was. I found myself having to repeatedly explain very simple things - to no avail. She seemed to be challenged with even with the most straightforward questions. This raised serious concern for the level of competence - or lack there of. I’m convinced they don’t want returning customers.

Unfortunately I had to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau since they made it quite clear they had no intention of taking any kind of responsibility. I was told to consider small claims for the damage that was done during what should have been a simple drain clearing.

Contacted this company to fix a clog in my drain. The plumber arrived 3 hours later than the time we were given. He came in and ended up ruining our floor with his tools. The price of fixing his mistake will cost more than the problem he fixed. When I brought this to the company’s attention they were rude and condescending. Absolutely would never recommend them under any circumstance.

My sisters and I needed a plumber as we are currently renovating our family home. We just put in new flooring (which was expensive!!!) and the plumber came in and messed up the brand new flooring. It is an expensive fix, and this company is refusing responsibility for their carelessness. DISGUSTING customer service, completely rude and dismissive, now we have to live with our floors like this because we can’t afford to fix the mistake of this awful plumber. DO NOT HIRE!!!!

I recently contacted this company to get information about their pricing, and the experience was extremely disappointing. When I called, I was told by Emily that there would be a $50 diagnostic fee for the plumber to come out, and that after the diagnostic, the plumber would tell me the total cost. I repeatedly asked for at least an hourly rate or price range, but I was told they could not share that until the plumber arrived.

When the plumber came, he never told me the cost upfront, even though I was expecting that based on what their office told me. I assumed the $50 diagnostic would be the only initial charge before the actual work.

Instead, the final invoice included multiple charges I was never informed about ahead of time:

Call-out fee: $50

Diagnostic fee: $80

Transportation fee: $55 (even though the plumber parked directly in front of my building and paid around $5)

Labor for removing the sink drainage pipe: $280

Labor for reassembling the drainage pipe: $100

Machinery/equipment fee: $80

My total came out to $677 just to unclog a pipe and reassemble the pipes, work that took exactly 38 minutes and logically should include removing and replacing the pipe as part of a single task. Charging separately for removing and then putting the pipe back on makes no sense to me.

Overall, I felt misled, overcharged, and not informed about the true pricing before the work began. The lack of transparency and the surprise add-on fees made this experience extremely frustrating. I would caution others to make sure they get every single fee in writing before agreeing to anything.

Its spam please don't not use them they pretended that they did alot of works but its just to charge you more and they don't do the job giving reason that need more complicated works and charged me more than 700 $ today i called reliance they solve the proplem with minimum cost very professional straight forward it was easy job for them no need for all the scenario that 247 reported shame on you please oakvillian be very carfuel from this company its aspam and don't give your credit card number to them these people you cant trust them at all they charges alot which we don't mind but not doing the job just pretending that they works !!!!

Reading the other reviews I commiserate and had the same experience. I’m an idiot for having called them and not read up first. They charged the $50 “booking fee”, then charged me $350 when the dude showed up and looked as something for 5 mins. Then they tried to charge me $2100 for something that should have taken 1-2hrs and maybe $500. The plumber himself then tried to “do me a favour” and do it under the table for only $1500. The whole thing is a scam, awful. Do not call.

WORST EXPERIENCE – They quote you a $50 service fee and say they will assess the job. Plumber was here for 45 minutes and gave me a bill for $800…… He ran a snake through a pipe and used some Drano LOL. STAY AWAY.

They told me I had to pay $50 to have someone come over and check the issue THEN additional fees would be applied depending on the issue. I asked for a range and they did not answer. The lady on the phone was pushy, did not take time to answer my questions, was rushing me to book an appointment and hang up. When I call back 30 seconds after to cancel the appointment because I was initially calling just to ask questions and know the prices, she said that she could cancel the booking but I’d still need to pay the $50 even tho no one was coming. $50 she told me was for the initial appointment with the plumber, not booking fees or whatsoever. Anyway. Huge scam. From what I can see from other people here, this is their usual behavior. So, long story short: don’t call them.

Please do not use this company. Their fees are ridiculous. The plumber they sent was fine - in and out in 8 minutes. A very minor job - attaching a hose to a new fridge. I was expecting a surcharge but I did call during business hours - said they would be there in 2 hrs - they advertise 1 hr - plumber arrived 3.5 hrs later.
Said it was a holiday surcharge - a Tuesday between Christmas & New Years. I wish I had waited a day. Woman on phone was very not very understanding or compassionate at all.
BRUTAL! Lesson learned , the very hard way.

I warn people to not to use this Company. They will not disclose any price and at the end charge you 4 times the price. Big scam. I was billed for $ 858 (tax included) to change 2 leaky pipes under the sink and install cut off valve. DO NOT USE THEM.

Awful company, complete ripoff. The plumber was good man though, did a good job. He himself put his price around $300 for his 30mins work, but the company asked for $900. Insane. Never ever contact this company. Their website is 247-emergencyplumber.com. Boycott this company.

I really wish I had read these reviews beforehand. 2 hours £708 to fix a leaky pipe. That includes £49 call out and £65 materials.
I would never use them again.

Please I warn everyone do not use this company, there are way better options out there. This company is all about hidden fees. A job that the plumber came to do for a pin hole leak in copper pipe, they just had to replace about 4 inches of copper pipe for a tap the price was $680 and it took 15 min and less than $50 in material. After the company he worked for called and told us the price he said if it was his own side job it would be about $200. Lesson learned, I just think $480 broker charge essentially is ridiculous. Will never recommend this company to anyone, scammers.

Called this company as my boiler wasn’t working so I am without heating or hot water. Explained the situation to Harvey over the phone and he let me know it was a £50 call out fee plus any work that needed to be done, with this being urgent I thought this was quite good. Accepted this and was told someone will be out within the next 2 hours.

Sat and waited then received a call around 1 and half hours later saying sorry we can’t come out.

Really disappointed in this service as I’ve waited around for the engineer to come out and now it’s left with me with no heating or hot water for the night.

Appalling service from Harvey when I called back up after the engineer called, no apology, asked to speak to manager apparently none available, then asked when the manager would be back in as I’d like to complain, surprise surprise just hung on me!

AVOID THIS COMPANY LILE THE PLAGUE!

When I called she said only £49 for call out charges but never told or explained there will be extra charges for check the boiler. After 01 check got the invoice for £442 which was really ripped off. Don’t use this company they were money suckers. Not explaining not given right information. This is how they earn money. I recommend anyone to not to use this company. Ripped off…

Joe the plumber came out on the 30.9.25 within an hour of me ringing, got the boiler back on He was lovely and explained everything to me

Appalling turned up last night guys English was not good didn't seem to have a clue dressed very shabby asked various questions no answer carried no parts no uniform I did not allow him to touch boiler or open his tool bag he said should I put your water back on unaware I had shut boiler down and turned water back on a real professional not £45 quid call out turned into £60 with vat had no receipt book vat number paid cash as didn't have any payment system other than texting Jamaican lady at office frightening if u are a woman or old my wife said glad he has gone BEWARE

I rang the company they told me it was a £49 charge to come diagnose the issue and any payments on top would only be made if they could fix the issue. A guy came out in a plain white van, no company name and could barely speak English (as couldnt the woman on the phone) he was here half hour and couldnt fix the issue. As he was leaving the woman rang me and said she had to take a £250 payment!!! The guy was clearly texting her on his phone at the same time. We had a stand off in our front door and he refused to leave until we paid the £49 minimum which I did - this was a scary experience and I really feel sorry for older people or women who have to deal with this. After he left the woman has rang me 10 times in the last 30 minutes being extremely rude and demanding payment which I am refusing. please do you use these SCAMMERS
