123cards provide a lovely alternative to sending a physical card that would just be thrown away.
On top of that, they are a very helpful and approachable team.

Over charging
I sent one card to Japan for which I paid £3.99 as a one-off. I then decided to send a second card to New York on the same basis but you tried to charge me a fee of £14.97. So I cancelled and sent them an email instead. I will not use 123 Cards again.

We're sorry the pricing on your second card caused confusion.
We offer two ways to send premium cards — a one-time purchase at £3.99 per card, or a membership which is a cost-effective option for those who send cards more regularly.
It sounds like the membership option may have been selected when you came to send your second card, which would explain the different price you were quoted.
As you didn't complete that purchase, no membership was created and no charge was made. You're always welcome to send cards on a one-off basis, just as you did the first time — simply select "No thanks, just send this ecard" before previewing your card.
We’ve also reached out by email to help clarify this and to share your saved card draft, so please do check your inbox if you'd like to send it.

New Card Choices
I’m happy that 123cards is offering new card choices. I enjoy sending heartfelt cards to encourage others on their life journey. Lighthearted are ok but often leave me wishing for more meaningful messages.
I like having the address book. It would be nice if I start typing an address. & it’s in the address book, that the address would autofill. Sometimes I can’t remember the whole email address.

As for the address book, the good news is that you don’t have to type in your contacts each time you send them a card! When you're logged into your account, any contact already in your address book will automatically appear as you start typing in the recipient field — so no need to remember the full email address.

The convenience of using 123Cards is…
The convenience of using 123Cards is important to me. It is very easy to compose a card just the way you want it. 123Cards is very user friendly in that I can locate an e-address and easily insert it into the information to send the card. I wish there were more colors for texts rather than just black. And, I would really enjoy more "spiritual" based cards...not religious, but cards that reach the spirit!

I can certainly appreciate that a membership charge is an unwelcome surprise if you're not expecting it. We do display this clearly during sign-up, but we completely understand that things can be easy to miss when you're in a hurry to get a card sent.
That's why we also send a confirmation email straight away. As the account was registered with your wife's email address, the confirmation landed in her inbox rather than yours.
I'm really glad you got in touch with our customer support team and that we were able to sort everything out for you straight away.
As we mentioned, a membership isn't necessary to enjoy our premium cards — you can always send individual cards on a pay-as-you-go basis, or use our basic cards completely free.
We hope to see you back the next time an occasion calls for a special card!
