Subject: Deeply Disappointed by Dishonest and Unprofessional Treatment



I’ve read your response, and I have to say I’m absolutely shocked and disappointed — not only by the way the situation was handled on the night, but by the inaccuracies in your reply.

Firstly, let me make it absolutely clear: I never received *any* phone call from your restaurant. Claiming that attempts were made to contact me is simply untrue. No such call was received, which makes your statement both misleading and unacceptable.

I drove all the way from Leeds to dine at Rudy’s, under the impression that we’d have a 90-minute table window, which is standard practice in most restaurants. Yes, I arrived around 45 minutes late due to unavoidable traffic, but I had made the trip especially to enjoy a meal before a live comedy show nearby.

When I arrived, I was met by a staff member whose attitude was nothing short of mocking. His dismissive comment — “You’re late, not my problem" — was incredibly rude and unprofessional. To make matters worse, he claimed there were no available tables inside or outside. That was simply not true. I could clearly see there were empty tables outside, with only two people seated in that area. To be told otherwise felt dishonest and dismissive, as though he was almost enjoying turning us away.

We only wanted two Margherita pizzas, and given our time constraints before the show, we would have been in and out quickly. Yet, we weren’t even offered the option to sit outside or take pizzas away. Instead, we were refused completely — left to head to the comedy show on empty stomachs after driving for hours to dine at your restaurant.

The response I received afterward, suggesting we’ll have a “better experience next time,” felt like a generic brush-off rather than genuine customer care. After what happened, that line comes across as patronising. At the very least, a 50% goodwill discount should have been offered for a future visit. Instead, I was met with denial and a lack of accountability.

I came to Rudy’s with my friend, Cristiano Ramirez, who witnessed everything firsthand. Both of us were deeply disappointed — not just by the refusal to accommodate us, but by the attitude and dishonesty that followed.

This entire experience has completely changed my perception of Rudy’s. Unless this matter is addressed properly with an apology and appropriate goodwill gesture — I will be left with no choice but to escalate this to Rudy’s head office, share the experience publicly through formal reviews and social media, and raise it with consumer rights channelsif necessary.
