Ok so a visit to the hygienist may not rank in my top five most pleasurable ways to spend 45 minutes BUT if you are going to do it then Lauren Moakes is excellent. Friendly, professional, thorough and with useful advice on improving oral hygiene.

R3 and 135mm repair

Whoops! I drove my car over my two Canon R3 bodies with RF 28-70 f2 and RF 135 f1.8 attached respectively. This was not some TikTok thing; this was purely my stupidity.
The first R3 was deeply scored by the gravel driveway and covered in dust. The second was much worse. The 135mm had been wrenched off distorting the mount and the UV filter was smashed and jammed to the thread. The body was deeply scored and gravel and dust filled the body where the lens had been wrenched off.
I took the second R3 and 135mm to WEX Norwich where I am a regular customer. The store manager was aghast but thought it may be worth trying Fixation given that both body and lens were quite new.
Within a week WEX had a quote from Fixation to repair both. I gave the go ahead. One month later WEX emailed to say to come and collect them. Amazing. Simply staggering how Fixation did this and WEX kept me up to date throughout and the final price was just as quoted.
Brilliant guys!
