Bitterly disappointed with this garage…
Bitterly disappointed with this garage and the vehicle we received.
After taking delivery of the pink fiat 500c OY60MDK in the morning my husband and I took it for a 20min drive after work to enjoy the ‘new to us’ vehicle.
We had waited nearly two weeks for checks and ‘necessary’ repairs, a brake light replacement we were told, to be completed. However as we returned home from our first trip out in this vehicle it became impossible to select first gear, then second went and finally no gear could be selected at all.
We were stuck and my husband had to tow the car back with our original car.
To add to that when we looked under the car, which came with a current mot, we could see that part of the the off-side rear shock absorber was sat at the bottom of the suspension spring not attached where it should be!
So a vehicle that had a current mot and was supposedly serviced within the last 2 weeks, sat on a garage forecourt to be ‘checked over’ then transported on a trailer to us was in fact one that would be deemed dangerous to drive and an obvious mot failure by any reputable mechanic or garage.
These are facts. This is not a vitriolic attack on this garage just a truthful report of what happened to us when we bought a vehicle from them and had to reject it for being unsafe and unreliable within the first hours of receiving it.
Yes we got our money back, remember buying unseen over the internet you have a distance selling cooling off period, but we actually wanted the car to be what we were promised not the unroadworthy, dangerous vehicle they delivered.
On a more positive note I have to say that, although they didn’t always call back when they said they would, everyone I dealt with was pleasant and polite.
So should you choose to purchase a vehicle from this garage please do so with your eyes wide open and be prepared to be disappointed in what you receive.
*Have seen on the site that the car is already back up for sale… they received it back in the untouched, unroadworthy state they sent it to us on Friday afternoon and already it is back up for sale … you do the math!
