Didn't hear from them for years until I now have a letter from HMRC saying that my overpaid tax has been sent as a cheque to them and not me. They attached themselves to my GOV ID as my agent and are impossible to contact.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS
Where do I start...
I have used servicing stop three times in the past and have been satisfied even though I know they push for extra sales.
For convenience during this pandemic I booked in my 2009 Kia Soul for a service.
Once the car was collected I then had a call with a long list of things that were recommended I get done as it's an old car etc. I agreed to lots of the work, wanting to be sure that my car was nice and safe as I wanted it to last.
THEN AFTER my car is brought back to me suspiciously early I get a call chasing payment even though I had been given NO PROOF of the extra work being completed.
My adviser acknowledged this and I quote "I will personally send you all the proof once we have taken payment"
I begrudgingly payed but I was left with the niggling thought that something was wrong, so I check the fuel filter which apparently had been changed, only to see that it hadn't even been touched.
After ignored emails and an ignored resolver case I FINALLY get through on the phone to someone after 45 minutes who tells me to take it back to the garage so that they can confirm the work had been done.
So I take the car the next morning only to have my suspicions confirmed. NONE of the extra work had been done and I had been charged over £400 in total for everything.
Luckily the lads at the garage were great and got the work done (or at least the ones I could tell hadn't been done). They also showed me paperwork that proved they had not been told by servicing stop to do the work and that they are sick of the lack of communication themselves.
I have an 8 month old son and wanted to make sure my car was good and safe for the future.
SERVICING STOP COULD NOT CARE ABOUT YOU OR YOUR FAMILY. THEY USED TO BE GOOD BUT NOW THEY ARE DANGEROUSLY SEEKING CASH NO MATTER WHAT.
Please just go to a good local garage and dodge these crooks.
