Disability discrimination

We needed to book disability parking and was told the following by a woman called Katie
Due to limited availability, Blue Badge parking is being prioritised for guests with the highest level of need specifically those requiring wheelchair or mobility scooter access, adaptable vehicles, or medical support equipment. We understand this may be disappointing, but we trust you will appreciate that this approach ensures those with the most significant accessibility requirements are able to park closest to the circuit.

So autism isn't classed as high priority. I understand where they are coming from but now we have to think about how or if we are coming to the British grand Prix next year.
As no we can't use public transport as if we could have we wouldn't fork out £360 for parking.

While Blue Badge parking on hard standing areas is prioritised for guests with the highest mobility needs such as those requiring wheelchair or mobility scooter access, adaptable vehicles, or medical support equipment parking is still available for Blue Badge holders. Your Blue Badge will allow you access to parking areas closer to the entry points, though these wont be on hard standing surfaces.
We recognise that not all disabilities are visible, and we appreciate that autism can present unique challenges, especially at busy events like the British Grand Prix. Your feedback is important to us, and we will share your comments with our team as we continue to review and improve our accessibility arrangements.

Sunday lunch

The wine bar itself is small and cosy. Upstairs and downstairs set up.
Advertising a carvery but isn't available and COVID was blamed for this.
If we had known we would have gone somewhere else.

Angry mam

This card is ment to help disabled children and adults to access venues without issue.
Except they say children don't need a plus one on there card despite disabilities. No matter what Information you give them.
Don't buy the card. Disabled children need more help than a "normal child". This card just isn't worth the money.

Fantastic experience

Can I just say what a lovely pilot we had today. He is called Alex. He kept us informed of everything both from take off to landing. I was apprehensive as this was my 1st flight but after today will definitely book again. We took off from fishburn airfield near Durham. What a lovely morning we all had.

Don't use the app

Can't fault the food at all. The problem I had was paying on the app. Wouldn't let me do it and I had vouchers to use. Manager said it wasn't a problem in the store yet I complained to the company who said the Durham branch didn't have it switched on for people to use the app. So couldn't use my vouchers so I'm out of pocket as they wouldn't be accepted at the till. And noone from the company want a to help sort anything.

Rubbish trainers

Bought some trainers and within 6 months had a hole in the front and noone seems to care.
This shouldn't happen in such a short space of time.
The email they give doesn't work either.

Track and divert

Your delivery drivers need to check whether a parcel needs to be left with a neighbour. Twice mine was taken back before it was left.

Dont buy from them

Went to the durham store to look for a sofa and teresa helped through every step. We showed her our measurements and she showed us which sofa would best fit the space.
When the sofa arrived it didn't fit the space. I went back to the store and noone wanted to know.
DONT BUY FROM THESE PEOPLE
and trust your own instincts.

Rip off

Make sure you pay way over the odds on your minimum payment or they'll add lots of interest. So your account never comes down.

We do let our customers know what charges are added to any personal account before they shop with us. We do like to be transparent when doing this.

If you pay off your account each month when you receive your statement, then no credit charges will apply.
