Some time ago I wrote a review on this…

Some time ago I wrote a review on this company in which I expressed some concerns about their postal services, at the time it had (twice) taken nearly 3 weeks for me to receive items I had ordered on 24 hr postage, it wasn't their fault, it was Royal Mails. I did say the products were fantastic quality and basically had nothing but good to say apart from the fact they used Royal Mail for their couriers. I have (sadly) avoided them ever since because I cannot risk holding orders up for 3 weeks while I wait for oils. This week I ordered an oil, not for an order but one that was getting low, there was no rush for it but I did choose 24hr postage anyway. It has arrived today, 24 hours after ordering, exceptional service really when you think about it, I hope this means RM has sorted itself out finally and I can happily shop here again as their products are second to none. If you like unusual, top quality oils, ones that you wont see every day, give them a go, I dont think you'll be disappointed.

With over two feet of snow and road closures for several weeks, all courier networks — not just Royal Mail — were significantly affected. It was an extremely challenging period for deliveries nationwide.

We completely understand how delays impact your business, and we truly appreciated your patience during that time.

We’re also very pleased to hear your recent order arrived promptly and that the service met expectations. Just to clarify for transparency, we do not offer a guaranteed next-day dispatch service. Our standard processing time is 3–5 working days (which can be longer during particularly busy periods). The 24-hour option refers to the courier delivery service used once the order has been processed and dispatched.

Reliable delivery is incredibly important to us, especially for our long-standing customers who depend on us to keep their own businesses moving.

Unfortunately I havent received the items I ordered yet

I cannot fault these beautiful oils however they need a better delivery company as despite them being posted RM 24 hr tracked (at a a higher cost to me I might add) I am still waiting for them, like the rest of us they have had bad weather and I get that but the order before this one, (before christmas and NO bad weather) took 3 weeks to get to me and it wasnt their fault, they posted quickly, the parcels seem to sit in Aberdeen Mail Centre for weeks on end. I wanted to order oils yesterday from them but didnt as I cannot keep waiting weeks for them to arrive.

Thank you for your honest feedback and for your continued support over the years — it really is appreciated.

We’d like to clarify a little context around the recent delays, as these were unfortunately outside of our control. We were closed from 22nd December for our Christmas break, and upon reopening in early January we were immediately impacted by severe weather across the Grampian region, with heavy snowfall causing widespread road closures and significant disruption to all courier services.

Royal Mail collections were suspended locally for several days, with services only beginning to resume fully from Sunday 11th January, and even then with a substantial national backlog — particularly through Aberdeen Mail Centre, where delays have been ongoing despite parcels being dispatched promptly on our side.

We completely understand how frustrating this is, especially as a regular customer, and we’re genuinely sorry for the inconvenience caused. Please be assured that orders are always processed and dispatched as quickly as possible once collections are available, but unfortunately we cannot influence delays once parcels enter the courier network — particularly during exceptional weather events.

Your feedback is taken on board, and we truly hope to welcome you back once courier networks have fully stabilised. Thank you again for your loyalty and understanding.

Don't Bother

Purchased some 'Royal Mail Small Parcel' sized boxes to send items out to customers. When I opened them they exceed the dimensions of the permitted RM small parcel dimensions, contacted them to be told 'Size are internal dimensions, as opposed to external dimensions.
They advertise them as Royal Mail Small Parcel sized, yet they exceed royal mails maximum dimensions, wheres the sense in that?

Hardly fit for the purpose they advertise. I shall go elsewhere in future.

Bad customer service

On 26th AUGUST I ordered loads of sample sized bottles to see if I liked them (which I did mostly) plus 1 x 100ml oil that I knew I liked. When they came the 100ml bottle was missing, contacted the company by email to let them know and was told they'd send it out straight away. I placed another order 1 week later and thought they might put my missing bottle in with this order but nope, 2 weeks later I contacted them to ask if the missing bottle had been sent because I hadnt received it, to be told (again) it would be with me soon. Have emailed them again about it (21 days its been now) and had no answer. Don't think i'll be ordering again somehow if they cannot rectify their own mistakes, which is a shame as I liked the oils I did receive.

I want to tell you about my experience…

I want to tell you about my experience with Lush, firstly the online service then the shop. So, I have a broken foot so had to do my christmas shopping online this year. It duly arrived and 1 item (quite a large, expensive item) was badly damaged, it was a tin giftset and had many dents all over it. I believe it was already like this when it went into the postal box as the box wasn't damaged. So I immediately emailed Lush customer service, sent all the requested photos then waited further instructions as to what to do about it, nearly a week has gone by now and not a word from them so because its a limited edition Snow Fairy item i'm now starting to panic as once they sell out they dont get replaced. I decided to ring the Sunderland shop for advice and got the manager on the phone, she was absolutely lovely, understood why I was panicking and advised me to either physically take it to them or get someone else to (because of my foot). I hopped (literally) on a bus and made my way to Sunderland where the manager remembered me and couldnt do enough for me, the staff were fantastic, got me another giftset, checked it over THEN gave me a RAOK (random act of kindness) bottle of Snow Fairy shampoo, said I deserved it for all my stress. I nearly cried honestly so this is a shout out to LUSH SUNDERLAND, you are all amazing and you made my day today.

Littlewoods - EXCELLENT SERVICE

I have been a Littlewoods customer for many many years and have always thought them really good, however, for about the last year they have become exceptional, better than any other 'catalogue company' i've ever dealt with. They despatch same day, dont charge you a tenner for 'next day delivery' - no, first class service comes as standard with these.
