If it was possible to give no stars I would. Misleading website, DID NOT SAY EBOOK, order stated hardback book, asked for shipping address and when I queried why it hadn’t arrived I was told it was a download. I asked for a refund, detailing my complaint and all I got was an offer for the link to be sent again (it hadn’t even been sent in the first place). Replied to their email and got the same offer. From reading trust pilot reviews I suspect they cut and paste that reply a lot. Avoid this company. Absolute scam.

Do not buy from this company. They scam you into thinking you are buying a book but when you don’t receive it they say it is an ebook.Suggest one for Trading Standards.

If I could give no stars, I would. As per other customers, ordered a hard back book ,nothing arrived . I emailed them to be told I had misunderstood and ordered an e book which was not true . Told all sales are final and no refund available . What nonsense. They are also operating under another name as bookworld . Reported to bank who have issued an immediate refund and will report to trading standards . Shameful...and i have emailed them to tell them so.

Very disappointing and misleading experience. I placed an order believing I was purchasing a physical book, as nothing during checkout made it clearly obvious that this was a digital eBook only. The website presentation, wording, and layout strongly implied a physical product would be delivered.

After payment, I discovered that no physical item would be sent — only a digital download. This was not clearly disclosed in a way a reasonable customer would expect before purchasing. When I contacted customer service to request a refund, I was told that refunds are not allowed because it is a digital product, despite the misleading nature of the listing.

I did not download or use the eBook at all, yet my refund request was still refused. This feels extremely unfair and misleading, especially for customers who reasonably expect a physical book when shopping on what looks like a normal online bookstore.

I would strongly warn others to be very cautious when ordering from this website. Double-check everything before paying, because once payment is made, getting a refund appears to be very difficult, even when the product is not what you believed you were buying.

You think you're ordering a physical book? You're not! They send you a link to an e-book. Do not be sucked in by the prices. I paid £4.50 for a link. I stupidly did not read reviews first about the company. Nowhere on their site do they mention e-books and the impression they give stating delivery times, returns policy, photos of physical books etc is that you will receive an item in the post. I have contacted my bank for a chargeback which they have given me so I am not out of pocket but please do not use this site unless you really want an expensive e-book!

As all others have said - company pretends to sell physical books, reporting products in stock and with delivery in 5-9 working days. However after sale all you get is a PDF. I immediately rejected the purchase and requested a refund, pointing out my legal rights. They replied that as it was a digital download this could not be refunded. I again pointed out that as I had not waived my right to a 14 day cooling off period they were legally obliged to refund me. This they did - perhaps thinking this would stop me taking it further. I note that according to Companies house this company was dissolved last year. It is clearly a scam, and I have therefore reported it to the National Cybersecurity Cntre in the hope that this fraudulent operation can be closed down.

I purchased what I believed was a physical book, but it turned out to be a digital-only eBook, which was not made clear at checkout.

Initially, the seller refused a refund, claiming all digital sales were final. This is not correct under UK law. Digital content still has a 14-day cooling-off period unless you are clearly told you’ll lose that right and you explicitly agree before purchase—which did not happen here.

After I cited the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 and escalated the issue (including contacting Stripe), the seller agreed to a full refund.

AVOID THIS COMPANY! As many other reviewers have said, this company is fraudulent. I was misled to believe that I had ordered a physical book from them, they even stated “free delivery within 5-9 working days” and that the book was “in stock - available to ship” but what I had ordered was an email link to a digital download. There was no mention of this item being a digital book on the page that I ordered from. Their contact phone number doesn’t work! I contacted them three times via the Contact Us form asking for a refund and each time received an automated message stating that I had purchased a digital book. No refund was given. AVOID ZOHOBOK!

Just discovered this is a con, advertised as physical book, big discount and transpires it’s an ebook. Reading not easy to get refund, should be state clearly that is a digital version. Really unhappy

Awful service will not offer refund when wrong item sent

Exactly the same experience as everyone else. They said they can’t refund me as I ordered an ebook which obviously I didn’t. I said if you are unwilling to refund me I will escalate this with my bank. I then got an email saying in this instance they can refund me which they did within two days. In the meantime I had started the chargeback process with my bank in case I didn’t get a refund

Same as everyone else, thought I had ordered a physical book, it didn’t arrive, checked back and I had been sent an ebook. I couldn’t find the description of an ebook anywhere on the website. The order even specified my shipping address and a 30 day returns policy. When contacting them, they said I couldn’t return as it was an ebook. So I have challenged the payment through my bank. Wish I had checked here beforehand.

Avoid this company, they scam you into thinking that you have ordered a physical book and state free shipping and ask for your shipping address and don’t advertise it as an e book.

Fraudsters- avoid. Brought what I thought was a paperback book , it’s digital only, despite advertising free shipping costs. They refused to refund. I’ll report the scam to my credit card company and hopefully get a refund through them.

Avoid this company. Absolute scam, pretending to sell physical books: “free delivery within UK” etc. Website has a UK phone number which doesn’t connect. Emails are replied to by bots as far as I could tell. Disgraceful.

The company behind the website, TBG Ecom Ltd (CRN 15571789), was dissolved on 25th September 2025. Anyone who has ordered via the website since that date should submit an online report to the Insolvency Service and seek reimbursement via their bank or credit card company etc through whom payment was made.

This company are scammers like all other reviews I got caught out with cheap price.As the saying goes if it seems too good to be true it is.

Same as everyone else. Ordered book - free delivery - only to be told when chasing up order that it was an ebook! Nowhere on site says it’s an ebook you’re receiving. Avoid at all costs!! Obviously a scam!

Total scammers! They advertise physical books but then they send you a link to download it. Not even sure if the link works, as I have decided not to click on it. Stay away from them!
