You need to "request" to cancel your…

You need to "request" to cancel your subscription 😊🔫 When I wanted to cancel my subscription, they just sent me an e-mail offering a discounted plan - instead of actually responding to my inquiry of cancelation. The tracks on the site isn't worth the hassle when you want to cancel. Pleeeease stay away from this scammy company :)

Predatory auto renew policy

Lost my chargeback claim, so I will be warning others of their shady business practices.

They'll respond with some lame response about the terms being disclosed up front. This is scammy and they know it, just look at reddit and you'll see similar complaints.

What kind of company thinks its ok to renew a year subscription without any sort of warning!?!?!

I now am stuck with another year subscription for a pool I hardly used, don't even want and it cost me $420!

Read the fine print, They will auto renew your plan without any notice. This is scammy and predatory.

I subscribed to a annual plan that I hardly used at a discounted rate and the plan auto renews at the regular price without the discount (the fact that the price changed and they don't tell you .

They know what they're doing is bogus, look at all the other reviews.

AVOID

Edit 3/12/26 The "solution" they're willing to offer me is to give me 6 months free instead of giving me my money back.

I don't want to use this service, but apparently a refund is out of the question.

I have been charged for subscription I never wanted

I have been charged for subscription after more than 6 months I haven’t used their service, also after the charge I wasn’t able to use their services, so what exactly I have been charged for as their policy says I have to pay upfront but I’ve received no service.

I do not recommend to anyone, be aware of them!

This review does not reflect a genuine customer experience with ZIPDJ.

After reviewing our records, we can confirm there is no active or past ZIPDJ account or subscription under the name “Been Cayton,” nor any transaction matching the claims described.

ZIPDJ is a DJ-only service with upfront billing and full access records. Charges cannot occur without an account being created and access being provided.

Very unsatisfactory customer service…

Very unsatisfactory customer service experience. I asked to cancel my subscription after a special offer subscription expired. I respectfully asked for a refund as I had neglected to cancel it before that day. This was denied based on the terms and conditions. I asked to escalate my query to the manager and was fobbed off with delays until they stopped responding to my emails. Not very professional and they need to reflect on how they do business. A reminder that a special offer is about to expire is very common amongst other services. Overall dissatisfied with the service from Zip DJ which is a shame given the rest of there platform is good as far as the web browser and music on offer. I hope that they will reflect on this feedback and seek to improve...

Our subscription terms, including the renewal and cancellation policy, are clearly presented in three separate places during sign-up and before checkout, and customers must actively accept them to subscribe. Cancellations must be received at least 72 hours before renewal for us to to process, and we apply this policy consistently to ensure fairness for all members.

Custome Service

I recently subscribed to a new one-month plan on ZipDJ, but when I asked support to reset my download history so I could re-download the tracks I had already downloadedfor in the past (and unfortunately lost), they told me this would only be possible if I upgrade to a longer subscription plan.

This policy is unacceptable. As a paying customer, I should have the right to re-access tracks I’ve already downloaded, regardless of the length of my current subscription. Instead of supporting customers, ZipDJ uses this situation to push for upselling — which feels dishonest and unfair.

Very disappointing, especially for a service aimed at professional DJs.

Thanks for your feedback. To clarify, ZIPDJ is a promotional music service, not a backup solution. Our role is to deliver new releases from our label partners to pro DJs. Once downloaded, it’s the DJ’s responsibility to back up and manage their library. Resetting histories to allow unlimited redownloads would compromise both our licensing agreements and the integrity of how the pool operates.

We understand it’s frustrating to lose files, and that’s why we encourage members to maintain regular backups of their music. Longer-term plans do include re-download history as an added benefit, but the primary value of ZIPDJ is the constant flow of new, professional-grade content for active DJs.

We appreciate your support and your passion for music, and we’ll continue working hard to deliver the best possible service for the DJ community.

Good Tunes, Buggy Platform

ZipDJ has a solid selection of music, but the platform itself is plagued with bugs. Management doesn’t seem motivated to address these issues, and customer support is virtually non-existent. You’ll send an email, get a generic ‘we’re investigating’ reply, and then never hear back. Great music library, but the service and reliability fall far short.

Scammed as well - Raised a dispute with my bank for a chargeback

Scammed as well. I was charged the full amount of 384 EUR for an annual "renewal" subscription, both WITHOUT any prior notification AND before the original subscription balance ended! Illegal and scamming tactics, now I have to process the dispute via my bank to get my money back. Horrible and shameful experience and as long as those tactics remain in action by ZIPDJ (I see other users with similar experiences), I will never recommend this service to anybody.

Update: Having read the reply from ZipDJ, I would like to clarify things further:

1) I am still charged and no signs of any refund yet.

2) My access to the ZipDJ portal is terminated. Well done and thank you for that, as it makes my point and my claim stronger.

3) My review is genuine and not associated with any other reviews as ZipDJ imply. There are strong evidence which including bank records and screenshot of previous active and canceled subscriptions which I can provide in case I am not fully refunded and decide to pursue things further.

4) Instead of ZIPDJ having the cheek as a business to use such a wording that implies that user reviews may not be genuine, or to use misleading tactics and point the issue to the user, they should instead learn from their mistakes, improve and send a renewal reminder at least a week before payment is taken, especially taking into account that they charged an annual subscription with a higher amount than the previous one without any further notice either, not to mention that this happened earlier than the actual expiration of the first annual subscription! In other words, ZipDJ continues deliberately with the same tactics, yet the matter is unresolved and with the bank and I do not intend to let this pass unresolved.
Many thanks to TrustPilot for giving me the opportunity to reflect things as they are and exactly as I experienced and I will be really grateful if I am provided with the chance to update my review with the actions taken to receive the full refund that I am legally entitled to. Hopefully this is resolved by ZipDJ in fairness and if it is, I will be happy to update my review stating this as well. Let's see.

Update: a few days after posting the review, I received my money back as the dispute case raised was decided on my favor.
Recommendation for the future: Please treat your customers nicely and inform them about any price changes or upcoming subscription fees well in advance.

We’d like to clarify the outcome and correct a few points for accuracy.

Your subscription renewed automatically under the terms you agreed to at signup and before paying. All ZIPDJ subscriptions are clearly labeled as auto-renewing, with pricing and renewal terms disclosed during checkout and in our published Terms.

Once you opened a bank dispute was initiated, access to the account was temporarily restricted, which is standard practice during chargeback reviews. The dispute was later resolved, and the funds were returned to you.

ZIPDJ does not engage in illegal or deceptive billing practices. We operate on transparent, time-based subscriptions.

Our preference is always to resolve matters directly and professionally.

They conned me

They charged me & I was still not able to log in & start downloading. I emailed them for support & they tried to get me to make another payment claiming they hadn't received the 1st payment. (My bank confirmed the money had hit their account)
I realized i had been conned & I had to cancel my card.

You were not charged—your payment attempt was marked as "Uncaptured," meaning no funds were collected. We emailed you a clear screenshot from our payment processor confirming this. Our team also provided guidance and support promptly after your inquiry.

While your bank may have shown a pending authorization, these temporary holds are common in online transactions and automatically reverse if the payment is not captured, which it wasn’t in this case. We did not receive any funds from you.

We take integrity and transparency very seriously and always strive to assist with any confusion. If you’re still uncertain, we encourage you to re-check with your bank for clarification.

I registered but didn’t subscribe

I registered but didn’t subscribe, now they’re spamming me with emails every minute. Lol

update:
After registering, I was suddenly flooded with a very high volume of emails over a short period of time.

The messages were arriving so frequently that my inbox became unusable.

From a user perspective, this felt far beyond normal account communication.

To manage the situation, I set up an automatic Gmail filter to delete incoming messages.

This review reflects my genuine personal experience as a user.

You did not just register — you signed up for a paid subscription, agreed to our Terms of Use, and were given full access to download music. ZIPDJ is a professional DJ music pool, not a free mailing list. We do not charge or activate memberships unless the user explicitly confirms it during checkout.

As for emails, we send occasional account-related updates or promotional offers, and every email includes an unsubscribe link — which you are free to use at any time.

If you believe this is in error, we’re happy to investigate your account — but baseless public claims like this are misleading and unfair to a small business that operates transparently and professionally.

Scammed

Some good tunes, would be an awesome service if they didn't withdraw $200 after a painful but definite cancelation and now they wont respond to my emails asking for a refund. Never again.

It made me save a LOT of money, like the fact that gives you a receipt via mail, great packs selection, but the unsubscribe thing has to be changed no matter what

Scam! Cancellation is as hard (and illegal) as possible

Leave your hands off this site. Worst customer experience ever as soon as you want to stop shoveling money in their greedy faces. No indication of any auto renewal. You cannot know if the subscription is cancelled after you cancelled it over the only way possible: via support. After they took another years worth of money AND without the previous annual discount of the year before and without any info or possibility to get a refund or switch to monthly. So I paid another year without even using this sad bug of a website and now when I want to make sure they don't take my money the next year again THERE IS NO WAY TO SEE that the renewal is off. You have to trust the words of their shady support which is not worth much as we can see in other reviews on here.

STAY AWAY for your own peace of mind.

They don't cancel subscriptions and keep withdrawing your money

First of all to cancel the subscription there is no button: you HAVE to pass mandatorily through their customer support via email. This is really bad.

I wrote 2 weeks before the renewal that I wanted to cancel, and they answered me "Why do you want to cancel?". I had to write another email to explain the reasons and they answered me back that they understood and confirmed to me that they cancelled the subscription.

However, after 2 weeks, they still charged me the renewal. I wrote to them about this and they "apologized" and promised a refund, and that now they definitely cancelled.

HOWEVER, no refund has appeared after 1 month and a half, no answer to any email and they even tried to charge again another time. Luckily, I had blocked them preventively through my bank.

By reading other reviews, it's clear to me they do this on purpose, so I suggest not to use this company and if you really have to, block them through your bank once you're done with their subscriptions because they won't stop charging you.

EDIT 21/01/2026: They are trying to take the review down 😅. Even when I provided all the documents and emails needed to support my review. How is it that all the people here are reporting the same thing? Can't you do business fairly?

To be clear, we never intentionally continue subscriptions after cancellation, and we definitely don’t charge accounts on purpose once they’ve been confirmed as cancelled. If you were promised a refund and haven’t received it, that’s something we’d want to fix right away — please reach out again and flag this for urgent attention so we can get it resolved.

Still Charged Me After Cancellation

I cancelled my Zip DJ account as it was a bit expensive for what it was. Unfortunately after acknowledging my cancellation I was still charged for a new subscription at my next bill date. I emailed them and they apologised and offered to refund me.

2 weeks later and they are now not answering my emails and have not refunded me.

Extremely untrustworthy company.
