Shipping label not sent so courier turned up and couldn't take box. Customer service awful as not responded to emails.

Zapper always blame their courier partner Evri every time something goes wrong! The fact is that they treat all parcels as returns & not deliveries to avoid paying their couriers a fair price! They certainly do not pay their customers a fair price for the books they receive & they certainly do receive them despite claiming that they have not! Zapper should be named “Crapper” as that is where you may as well send your books 📚 Occasionally they pay for them, but only🥜peanuts! Abysmal!

Absolute robbing gits! Say your books are in poor condition and refuse to pay out!
Books sent were used but good condition and I bet they still sell them on.

The site promises a convenient way to sell or get rid of your secondhand books . For this writer, its was anything but convenient. I first arranged a pick of of some 46 books on the 2nd January 2024 for the 8th January 2024. The pick up was almost 4 days later . To date ( the 22/01/2024) the books have not, according to Zapper , arrived and I have not received any money. Getting hold of them is even harder than getting the books sorted . I would not waste my time again and give the books to charity

Typed in a book barcode number and the offer was 6p!!! Typed in to a different book buying website and was offered 50p. Why do you offer such a low price?!

It would be much easier if they created a list of the minute handful of books they do accept!

I typed in way over 50 barcode numbers into their website this morning and all delivered the message "barcode not recognised". It was a mix of fiction, non-fiction and textbooks so I'm really not sure what it is that they're after. Just to test whether it is my books or all books, I put a range of popular barcode numbers into the website and still not a single acceptance.

It's an excruciating process to have to go through every single book and have every single one rejected with no indication as to what they're actually after. This is the last time I will ever attempt to use this service, unless you fancy mad stress for no good reason, I would look elsewhere to sell your books.

Great to see that you are back online and once again a thoroughly good service from beginning to end. With 4 avid readers in the house, we churn through books and we always find that Zapper handles the process of collection and payment smoothly.

After months on being down for 'Scheduled maintenance' Zapper now appear to be 'back'. As such I managed to get them to accept 43 CD's for a value of 53p. Ok I accept that many were very popular but come on, to get to the minimum £5 trade would be almost impossible & certainly not worth the effort. Better sites out here doing same thing...

Offered a total of £1.55 for 37 DVDs and 113 CDs. Then said had reached the weight limit of 15kg. Tried to trade but £5 is the minimum. I asked how this can be and apparently they offer a penny pet item for recycling. They are either robbers or scammers.

Down for maintenance as advised by other users. App deleted.

Every time I try to get prices the website says 'undergoing maintenance'. It has happened to me over a period of weeks.

Been trying for nearly a year to use zapper but still claims it’s under maintenance really a year to maintain a website???

As with the other recent reviews, the only times I've attempted to use this app has failed due to "essential maintenance" according to the message displayed. I've tried this about five times over the course of a month, so they can't really be functioning as a business if this is affecting everyone. I'm using a Pixel 6, so not an old version of Android or anything.

literally unable to use. “essential maintenance” has been going on for about a month now, and when i contacted them to ask why, i received no response.

Update: now it just says ‘Oops, something went wrong. Please check your connection and try again later or contact provider.’ So basically still can’t use it.

Registered. Cannot scan items! Hopeless. Have sent 4 messages. No response. Shoddy treatment to customers. Avoid. Use MusicMagie instead.

Has Zapper ceased trading?

Its been over sixnmonths now, where the site has stated that "they cannot accept trades due to essential maintenance". I'm assuming that Zapper has gone bust. Its a shame because I used to trade with them several times a year.
