Don’t buy from Yummy!
I filed complaints through the BBB and Texas Attorney General because I genuinely do not feel this situation was handled fairly. I spent over $1,100 on Raw Cambodian Curly Wave hair extensions from Yummy Extensions, plus additional installation and removal costs. The hair was professionally installed and became dry, tangled, matted, and unmanageable within one week despite normal maintenance and care. I contacted the company multiple times and provided photos, videos, screenshots, and detailed explanations regarding the condition of the hair. Throughout the process, I received inconsistent information regarding maintenance and product use. The company repeatedly blamed shampoo use and certain products, while their own website also references using sulfate-free shampoo for cleansing raw hair. They even sent me a screenshot that states “Please do not use shampoo on your hair extensions as it can remove it’s natural oils resulting in dryness and tangling” however again on their website it says you can use sulfate free shampoo to cleanse the hair. The company initially discussed a revamp/evaluation process, then later stated the hair could not be accepted for revamp because it had already been used. I was ultimately offered only a partial refund despite the product failing within one week. One thing that makes situations like this difficult is that many reviews and social media promotions for hair companies are sponsored or paid partnerships, so it can be hard for consumers to know what experiences are fully unbiased. I wish more customers felt comfortable sharing honest experiences both good and bad so people can make informed decisions before spending this kind of money.
I kept documentation, emails, screenshots, photos, and videos throughout the process because I wanted to handle everything professionally and fairly.
