Actually Dean, I need to clarify some of your comments below – again as I did in an email direct to you. When I mentioned I was on a Disability Pension and wanted to see what you charge, you said you give pensioners 10% discount – so you haven’t solely only helped me. Also there was your charge of $100 call out fee and $50 per set of taps. I did tell you my previous plumber couldn’t fix the problems so I decided to get someone else in – however at no stage did I say he won’t answer my calls.

With regards to the first service, you attended with your apprentice and was instructing him to replace the washers and guiding him on steps he needed to do. If he was experienced to replace tap washers then I don’t see why he didn’t come out on his own the first time. The first lot of issues were resolved and I did give you 5 starts on google – I removed that review because you weren’t consistent in your service and didn’t commit to what you claim on your website which is what customers read and expect to happen. I did not have my negative review removed – you did by flagging it and I have no doubt it was because I had to correct several things you claimed in it which I had proof of. In your reply you claimed to have done other tasks which you clearly didn’t and I pointed them out in that email I sent to you directly – again no reply from you. In your reply you got the date you attended wrong (can be confirmed by bank transfer) and the amount of time you were here wrong. Your reply mentioned you clipping loose pipes in the ceiling when after checking on that day you couldn't see them so said it means they are in the walls; you claimed to have replaced the hot water duo valve which you didn't as my previous plumber replaced the hot water isolating valve on 26 January, 2021. I was quite happy for my review and your reply to stay up.

When I rang you and told you about the problem, I told you exactly at what point the mistake was done and where your apprentice agreed he should have been more thorough and where it needed looking at and you replied “But it’s so basic” and then said you would be in touch by end of the week.

You first attended my house on 22 Feb, 2021 and I told you I only had the money to do the shower and laundry. While you were at my house I said I would get in touch with you when my next Disability Pension came through to come back and change the washers in the ensuite – so you were well aware of that issue. You claim that I got back in touch with you 1 month later. In fact, I sent you a text at 8.05am on the 9 March, 2021 (2 weeks later) to let me know when you are able to come and fix my ensuite taps. I also mentioned that I would not be available on Monday 15 March, 2021. I get a call from you at 10.12am on 15 March, 2021 asking me if I am going to be around in the morning. I said that I had already mentioned to you that I wouldn’t be available that day. Your reply was that there had been crossed wires – not at my end there wasn’t – I was clear. You called me at 8.07am Tue 16 March, 2021 asking me if I would be around that morning. I replied yes. You texted me your apprentice would be contacting me ASAP. If your apprentice was capable to send him out on his own second time around – why didn’t you send him on his own first time around – instead you were there instructing him.

The service wasn’t successful as you state because the grinding noise is still there – in fact after the service I had a high pitched squealing sound which your apprentice heard and said if it continues to get in touch with you – which is what I did.

I never threatened you and I am not taking advantage of a small business. I am simply wanting what I paid money for to have done – as it stands you took $150 for nothing as the old problem still exists and there is a new problem and in fact I am going to be out of pocket again because I have to get the problems looked at by another plumber.

I sent the text on 24 March because you sent me a text on 20 March asking for my banking details so you can refund me my money so I was merely chasing up what you said you were going to do. I gave you the deadline because I was tired of waiting for the refund and needed the money to get a plumber out to fix the old problem and the new problem caused after the service by your apprentice.

If you were trying to “look after” me as you claim then why did you ring to yell and chastise me for standing up for my consumer rights instead of making a time to come and look at the problems as you promised and I am still waiting for the refund of $150 as you promised me twice. By not doing and being what you claim to be on your website, you are tarnishing your own name and business - not me and I'm quite certain it's because by coming out to look at the problems still there and created, there is no money in it to be made which makes your claim of "if you're dissatisfied with our services for any reason, we'll come back and fix it" redundant.

Dean and Ben were excellent!! They were prompt with my request for a quote and we’re able to come and look a the job which was a small sink hole with a broken storm water pipe. They were able to quote on the spot and do the job straight away which was fantastic. The quote was explained well and was what we expected and in our budget. Dean and Ben were professional and polite. We will be definitely using these guys again the future.
